Hypnobirthing Cornwall - Teachers' Directory
Hello! I'm Cat - a hypnobirthing practioner, hypnotherapist and mum to my two year old daughter.
I had a wonderful birthing experience with my own daughter that left me feeling joyous and so empowered. I feel very passionately that every woman should have the same. It is a pleasure to pass on the information and techniques that can do this.
My hypnotherapy experience means that I am in the privileged position to be able to help with any fears directly, freeing women (and their birth partners) from anxiety and enabling them to have the calm, comfortable and relaxed birthing experience they deserve.
I am an experienced midwife who has worked both independently and within the NHS. I currently practice as a community midwife in the West, so I have first hand knowledge of the current issues and practice within our local maternity service. THis enables you to feel fully informed about your options and choices, and how to ensure you will feel well supported during your labour and birth within the maternity unit or at home. I have experience of supporting women to birth their babies using hypnosis not only when things are progressing smoothly but also when additional support is required such as induction, places me perfectly to give you a fully rounded antenatal preparation.
Having grown up with a mother who taught childbirth to thousands of women, I have always believed that birth is a natural, normal and very precious thing.
I trained in Hypnobirthing the Mongan Method in 2008.I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner.I have also trained and qualified to teach the Katherine Graves Method of Hypnobirthing and The Wise Hippo Birth Programme.
I love the work that I do, I’m passionate about helping women to have the best possible birth for them and their baby.I have found that bonding between parents, baby and siblings is easier and helps to empower the new parents to trust their judgement as they begin to find their way on the journey of parenthood.Babies tend to be calmer and trust more easily.
I am a member of the Warwickshire Pregnancy and Birth Network and have many contacts in the field of Birth and therefore have access to a real wealth of knowledge about birth and the way it plays out in Warwickshire.
