I'm a passionate believer in not only taking care of your body throughout the different stages of life but also your mind. I have a huge interest and love for complementary therapies to bring about a sense of good health and general well being. I'm not only a trained hypnobirthing practitioner but also a Massage therapist and reflexologist, specialising in pregnancy.

I'm a mummy to three small children and I discovered my passion for pregnancy & birth after the birth of my babies. It was by far the most empowering experience I've ever had! I was not aware of hypnobirthing at the time and it wasn't until a friend told me about it, that I realised how similar my birthing experience was to those who had used hypnobirthing. It fascinated me and I thought back to the ways in which I had prepared for the birth of my babies. Without knowing it I had followed a very similar route to hypnobirthing in terms of getting your mind mentally ready. I read lots of positive birth stories thanks to a book called spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin and I did weekly pilates classes. What I didn't realise at the time was how I was flooding my subconscious with all these lovely positive affirmations, so when the time came my mind and body was in the best place to birth my babies naturally. Lots of people create an image in their mind of the 'perfect birth' but in reality I do not believe such a thing exists.  Having the ability to relax, to release fear or anxieties and ultimately allowing your body to be able to do what it needs to, will help you on your way to having the best birth possible. I feel if i'd have done hypnobirthing I would have been in an even better place, not just before and during labour but also after the birth of my babies.

It's important to remember that whatever kind of birth you have you're totally amazing!! Enjoy your babies they grow up so fast!

I am a hypnotherapist specialising in Hypnobirthing and I was a Science and Psychology teacher for 10 years. These skills enable me to be very flexible in my approach. I use a wide range of techniques so that we can find the ones that work best for you, whatever your birth preferences.

There are so many things I love about preparing couples for birth, such as seeing how quickly sceptical partners convert, watching fear turn into anticipation, hearing wonderful birth stories and of course, if I’m lucky, meeting the adorable babies.

Welcome. My name is Abbie, I am a mother to a gorgeous little girl through the aid of Katherine Graves Hypnobirthing. Inspired by my experience, I am now a KG hypnobirthing practitioner and love to give others the opportunity to be able to have a positive birthing experience.

I feel I have the confidence, power and positive attitude to achieve anything. I can encourage and teach couples that they can too, through the practise of hypnobirthing, by giving couples the knowledge to trust in their instincts, rely on their body and empower them to give birth in a calm atmosphere.

Hypnobirthing isn’t just for birth but for life experience as we are in charge of how our mind takes over our bodies. I take a great interest in building a trusting rapport with couples, giving them reliable information and helping them adapt to hypnobirthing to suit their circumstances.

I became a KG Hypnobirthing teacher following two amazing and, dare I say it, enjoyable births.  Before my first pregnancy I was incredibly sceptical about Hypnobirthing, so I was blown away when simply listening to some CD’s helped the birthing process and me.  For my second pregnancy I decided to book a complete course, to see what a difference it could make.  As a result, we birthed comfortably and quickly at home.

I want to enable you to have a positive birth experience, no matter what path it takes.

My career so far has been focused around empowering and enabling people in their chosen paths - from training volunteers in the charity sector, to supporting women's groups in India, to secondary school teaching. And then, discovering hypnobirthing during pregnancy was a game-changer. I had an amazing and empowering home birth. It opened up a whole new world of birth too - the physiology, the power of the mind, the issues around rights, the hundreds and hundreds of wonderful birth stories that are lessons within themselves.

Training with Katharine Graves and learning from all the midwives on the course spurred me on to establish Birth Story Hypnobirthing and become a certified birth addict! The more I learn, the more I want to know.
My courses can be easily tailored to you - your story will be unique from the start and I want to know about how you best learn and what we can do to ensure you have a powerful, confident and positive birth experience.

I studied for my KG Hypnobirthing teacher qualification at the same time as being pregnant for the first time myself. I was amazed at the quality of information and knowledge I gained from the course and now have in my toolkit to share with you. I went from being a bit scared and unsure about labour and birth to feeling calm and confident about my bodies amazing, natural ability to give birth to a beautiful baby in a calm, intuitive and comfortable way. Having taken the course my Husband also felt more knowledgeable and confident about birth, his role as a birth partner and the choices and decisions we would need to make along the way. I have a passion for sharing this knowledge and information with other Mum’s and their partners and can’t wait to share it with you. For more information you can contact me on my mobile or email today.

Many congratulations on your pregnancy! I am qualified to teach the Katherine Graves (KG) method of Hypnobirthing. Hypnobirthing is both logical and deeply relaxing and I am passionate about natural birth and empowering women in order for every baby to enter the world as they deserve to, in a calm and controlled manner. Birth matters. My entire career revolves around babies! I originally trained and qualified as a Nutritional Therapist with the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. I specialised in preconception and pregnancy health and additionally affilliated myself with a wonderful charity named Foresight helping couples with natural fertility and preconception care. I trained as a volunteer Breastfeeding Peer Supporter with Harrow and have since taken employment with NHS Brent who I have been lucky enough to train further with and am now a certified Breastfeeding Specialist. I completed the IAIM training course to become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) in 2011 and went on to train with Blossom and Berry for my Diploma in Baby Yoga which is a wonderful follow-on to complement baby massage. Most importantly, I am a mother myself. My son Noah was born in August 2010 and my daughter Robyn was born in January 2015 in a beautiful Hypno-home water birth.

I'm Danielle, mum to four fabulously crazy kids aged between 3 and 13. The birth of my daughter Amelie was a wonderful experience for my husband and I, as we decided to try a Hypnobirth. I had been fairly lucky in that I had no major interventions with my first three births, however they were all very medicalised and a natural, relaxed calm birth experience sounded well worth a try! It was a truly remarkable experience and it started me off on a path that has led me to where I am today. As an experienced mum I felt that I could help give support and advice to other mums, and so my journey to becoming a Doula began.  I trained with Kicki Hansard on her BirthBliss Aspiring Doula Foundation Course and completed a day breastfeeding training with a Lactation Consultant from the International Board of Lactation Consultants. I decided I wouldn't stop there, supporting mums and dad's during pregnancy, birth and beyond was wonderful, however I really wanted to be able to make a massive difference to the way women birthed their babies. My own peaceful Hypnobirth had given me an urge to help women achieve the same for them and their babies. I researched which Hypnobirthing courses were the best and decided to attend the Teacher Training course with the fabulous Katherine Graves, author and founder of KG Hypnobirthing. The course is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and includes a full antenatal program. I received my Diploma and I am now qualified to teach her wonderful Hypnobirthing techniques.  I have been told by others that I am caring and considerate, a 'mother earth' type, and reliable. I will always endeavour to do my best for anyone, using not only my knowledge but also having a common sense, or grounded approach, which is sometimes all we need when everything else around us seems to be so uncertain.

Joan Mills is a registered general nurse, certified Hypnobirth practitioner, qualified reflexologist, specialising in fertility and maternity therapy. Full member of Doula U.K. as a Birth Doula and mother of three children.

Following many years of general nursing practice, I trained as a complementary therapist, specialising in womens health, fertility and birth. After many years of this work, I heard about Hypnobirthing from several clients, did some research and decided to carry out the training.

It has been the most exciting jodiscovery of my life, I’ve trained in the original Mongan method, the Katharine Graves method, and most recently the revolutionary new British-based Wise Hippo method.

Drawing on all my training and experience, I offer couples a fantastic birth preparation programe that will equip them for their baby’s perfect birth experiences and their positive birth experience.

As a birth Doula, I often attend births and for me this is what it is all about. Women enjoying their baby’s perfect birth day, while dads play a key role in the whole process as protector and supporter of the labouring woman.Seeing really is believing.

A former actress, I first came across Pilates at the National Theatre Studio in 1997. Originally trained as a personal trainer working at Holmes Place, Fulham, I then became a Pilates instructor training with the Body Control Pilates Association® in 2003.

I initially became an in-house pilates instructor at Physio4 Life in Putney in London, and on moving to Hertfordshire joined the team of  osteopaths at the Penn Clinic in Hatfield. Meanwhile I also taught at the Hitchin Natural Therapy Centre and established my own small studio in Hitchin which I closed due to becoming pregnant with my first child.

I have and will always maintain professional development through Body Control and with some of the leading teachers in the Pilates field at Gordon Thompson’s studio in South West London. I regularly undertake courses and over the years have achieved additional Body Control qualifications in:

Level 4 low back pain course (I am currently working on my case study and have an exam to take before I qualify in this)

Intermediate matwork

Advanced matwork

Matwork Evolution 1

Chair 1 (I have a wunda chair at my home),

Reformer 1 (although I am yet to take the exam as I keep having babies!)

The Pilates Ball

Standing Pilates

Pregnancy 1 and 2

The foam roller

Small Ball and Toning Circle

The pilates Band

The Baby Arc

Pilates and osteoporosis

I have trained in regular 1:1 sessions over the years with Cheryl Liss, Simone Halfpenny, Johan Zwaenepoel and Laurence Petersen.

I have also taken workshops with, among many, Eric Franklin, Kelly Kane and Mitsi Pippa - all leaders in pilates related disciplines.

I pride myself on relating closely with many doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, craniosacral therapists, surgeons and other osteopaths in the area many of whom refer clients directly.

I'm on the Register of Exercise Professionals level 3, which is the latest standard for pilates training in the UK and a fully registered member of the Body Control Pilates Association®. All BCPA® members work to a laid-down Code of Practice governing teaching standards, class sizes, professional ethics and continuing education. For more information see: www.bodycontrol.co.uk

I am now also a registered Hypnobirthing practitioner, having gained my diploma in 2011.

I feel the combination of pilates and hypnobirthing creates a very informed basis for my teaching and a deep understanding of relaxation and how that affects our bodies.
