I'm a passionate believer in not only taking care of your body throughout the different stages of life but also your mind. I have a huge interest and love for complementary therapies to bring about a sense of good health and general well being. I'm not only a trained hypnobirthing practitioner but also a Massage therapist and reflexologist, specialising in pregnancy.
I'm a mummy to three small children and I discovered my passion for pregnancy & birth after the birth of my babies. It was by far the most empowering experience I've ever had! I was not aware of hypnobirthing at the time and it wasn't until a friend told me about it, that I realised how similar my birthing experience was to those who had used hypnobirthing. It fascinated me and I thought back to the ways in which I had prepared for the birth of my babies. Without knowing it I had followed a very similar route to hypnobirthing in terms of getting your mind mentally ready. I read lots of positive birth stories thanks to a book called spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin and I did weekly pilates classes. What I didn't realise at the time was how I was flooding my subconscious with all these lovely positive affirmations, so when the time came my mind and body was in the best place to birth my babies naturally. Lots of people create an image in their mind of the 'perfect birth' but in reality I do not believe such a thing exists. Having the ability to relax, to release fear or anxieties and ultimately allowing your body to be able to do what it needs to, will help you on your way to having the best birth possible. I feel if i'd have done hypnobirthing I would have been in an even better place, not just before and during labour but also after the birth of my babies.
It's important to remember that whatever kind of birth you have you're totally amazing!! Enjoy your babies they grow up so fast!

I am a hypnotherapist specialising in Hypnobirthing and I was a Science and Psychology teacher for 10 years. These skills enable me to be very flexible in my approach. I use a wide range of techniques so that we can find the ones that work best for you, whatever your birth preferences.
There are so many things I love about preparing couples for birth, such as seeing how quickly sceptical partners convert, watching fear turn into anticipation, hearing wonderful birth stories and of course, if I’m lucky, meeting the adorable babies.

I became a KG Hypnobirthing teacher following two amazing and, dare I say it, enjoyable births. Before my first pregnancy I was incredibly sceptical about Hypnobirthing, so I was blown away when simply listening to some CD’s helped the birthing process and me. For my second pregnancy I decided to book a complete course, to see what a difference it could make. As a result, we birthed comfortably and quickly at home.

I'm Danielle, mum to four fabulously crazy kids aged between 3 and 13. The birth of my daughter Amelie was a wonderful experience for my husband and I, as we decided to try a Hypnobirth. I had been fairly lucky in that I had no major interventions with my first three births, however they were all very medicalised and a natural, relaxed calm birth experience sounded well worth a try! It was a truly remarkable experience and it started me off on a path that has led me to where I am today.
As an experienced mum I felt that I could help give support and advice to other mums, and so my journey to becoming a Doula began.
I trained with Kicki Hansard on her BirthBliss Aspiring Doula Foundation Course and completed a day breastfeeding training with a Lactation Consultant from the International Board of Lactation Consultants.
I decided I wouldn't stop there, supporting mums and dad's during pregnancy, birth and beyond was wonderful, however I really wanted to be able to make a massive difference to the way women birthed their babies. My own peaceful Hypnobirth had given me an urge to help women achieve the same for them and their babies.
I researched which Hypnobirthing courses were the best and decided to attend the Teacher Training course with the fabulous Katherine Graves, author and founder of KG Hypnobirthing. The course is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and includes a full antenatal program.
I received my Diploma and I am now qualified to teach her wonderful Hypnobirthing techniques.
I have been told by others that I am caring and considerate, a 'mother earth' type, and reliable. I will always endeavour to do my best for anyone, using not only my knowledge but also having a common sense, or grounded approach, which is sometimes all we need when everything else around us seems to be so uncertain.
