Hypnobirthing London - Teachers' Directory
Hi, I’m Jackie, a NCT & Hypnobirthing instructor. I live in South East London with my partner and our two lovely children.
I first came across Hypnobirthing around 8 years ago when I discovered, with elation, that I was finally pregnant for the second time. Whilst I was of course delighted, I was not looking forward to the birth at all.
A friend told me about Hypnobirthing – something I’d never heard of. I did my research, attended a course and then spent the rest of my pregnancy relaxed, feeling in control and having tools to hand to turn to if I had a wobbly moment. I even dared to look forward to the birth!
My daughter’s birth was calm, EASY, comfortable and pretty amazing and I felt like Superwoman afterwards :-D I felt on top of the world and the whole experience could not have been more different compared to my first birth.
Before completing my Hypnobirthing course I had no idea that birth could be this way.
My experience made me become very interested in all things birth, and amazed at how well Hypnobirthing works. I decided to train with the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) as an Antenatal Instructor, gaining my Diploma in Antenatal Education in 2012 via the University of Bedfordshire. I then went on and trained as a Hypnobirthing Instructor with Katharine Graves.
I love delivering both courses and love working with parents at this amazing time in their lives. Whether it’s your first, second, third or beyond pregnancy – the techniques you practise work at keeping you feeling calm, relaxed and clear headed. Take a look at our testimonial page to read some lovely birth stories direct from the parents themselves – www.baby-bumps.net/testimonials
Hypnobirthing is not about creating a perfect birth, but a positive one – and one where you feel prepared for whatever turn your birth takes on the day. You will be knowledgeable about what will be offered to you as you near the end of your pregnancy and during labour and know where to get more information and support if required. Whilst we most certainly focus on the type of birth you want, we also chat about any ‘what if? scenarios leaving you feeling fully prepared whether you choose to have your baby at home, in a birth centre or on the labour ward.
I am fully insured, a member of the NCT and the Hypnobirthing Association.
In addition to all things pregnancy and birth, I am also a Reflexologist with 11 years’ experience, specialising in Fertility and Pregnancy Reflexology and running Baby Reflexology courses for parents.
I am a fully qualified KG Hypnobirthing Teacher, Hypnotherapist and Counsellor. However, I believe my most important qualification is actually being mum to one very active little boy!
I didn't discover hypnobirthing until after my son was born and I remember wishing that I had known about it sooner so I could have benefited from using it myself. After becoming a hypnotherapist I saw the wonderful way in which people were able to use hypnosis and relaxation techniques to bring about states of calmness and self-empowerment and so I was determined to learn more about how this could be applied in pregnancy and labour. I then decided to train in KG Hypnobirthing by Katharine Graves, specifically because this method is designed for the UK market and is also very simple and practical for hypnobirthing mothers and their partners to fit into their daily lives effectively.
Hello! my name is Sonia,

Sharing our positive birth stories is of service to our sistershood, our daughters and their daughters! Hypnobirthing is creating a positive birth-story revolution and I am proud to be a part of it.
This course will help you to recover your innate faith and trust in your body and its natural ability to birth, without fear. It will give you a wealth of tips and tools that you will use during labour (ie. breathing techniques, sensory anchors) and after. You discover all your “Birth Rights” and choices you have for the birth of your baby.
As a Hynobirthing mom I can honestly say that doing KG Hypnobirthing was the greatest decision I ever made for myself, my little girl and my family and I look forward to sharing this work with you.

“Hypnobirthing is the most wonderful empowering experience that parents can bestow upon their unborn baby, bringing them into the world gently, calmly and naturally". I run group or individual sessions which are broken down into practical and theory , there is plenty of laughter and I am very approachable and friendly and have many "Hypnobabies in London and Bedfordshire area". I believe in evidence based practice and I continually strive for excellence and attend KG Hypnobirthing refresher courses and link with local antenatal services including the NHS and NCT, giving talks and attending active birth workshops. I live in Peckham with my husband James, son Joseph (5 years old) and daughter Iris (2 years old).
I am committed to doing everything I can to help you experience the empowerment of a gentle and natural birth with Hypnobirthing.
Hypnobirthing is logical, simple, practical… a very effective and complete antenatal education. I will teach you invaluable hypnobirthing techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment; very informative with lots of laughter too!
I am also an advanced Neurolinguistic Programming therapist (NLP). This is essentially a form of life coaching which uses tools to unlock unhelpful behaviours, thought patterns or habits, replacing them with more positive and helpful ones!
NLP gives me the expertise to provide not only the core Hypnobirthing techniques but also to offer tailor made tools and exercises to help parents–to–be get the most from my course. For example, if a mum-to-be says she simply don't know if she's physically or mentally able to have the birth she wants I have exercises to help her believe in herself.
I offer ongoing support after the course has finished and am on hand to help you and your partner get the most from your practice.
My name is Amy and I live in Crystal Palace with my husband and two young boys. I am completely passionate about working with and supporting parents-to-be. It is such a privilege to play a part in each incredible journey.
As a first time mum, I was recommended to go to NCT antenatal classes, which my husband and I found extremely informative and fun. After the classes we felt confident approaching birth and parenthood and met some great people locally who have become lifelong friends. When I became pregnant again I really wanted to have a calm and positive birth experience, so after lots of research we attended a Hypnobirthing course. My second birth was such a positive experience: calm, relaxed and I actually enjoyed it.
My experiences have inspired and driven me to support other parents-to be become confident as they approach birth and parenthood. Both NCT classes and hypnobirthing helped us in so many ways and I am now thrilled that I can help others at such a special time.

Qualified Hypnobirthing teacher, member of the Hypnobirthing Association and mum of two
I am Dr Alice Len a qualified HypnoBirthing teacher with a Diploma in HypnoBirthing (HB) from the HypnoBirthing centre. I was instructed the Katharine Graves method by Katharine herself, which is a Royal College of Midwives accredited method and I am registered as a teacher at the HypnoBirthing Association website (where only qualified teachers can be registered.). I also have a BSc Class 1 Honours and PhD in Biomedicine and have been in the field of Biomedical research for nearly 20 years where I am currently still actively working in this field at UCL as a researcher and lecturer. My strong reason for choosing to teach HB was due to the significant difference it made to my relaxation state and the amazing success I had with implementing the technique into the birth plan for my first child and how it helped me to continue to have a positive frame of mind post birth. I remember starting the course in preparation for the birth of my first child with fear and walking out at the end thinking birthing is not as fearful as people make it out to be and I can do this calmly and with confidence. This mentality strengthened further with practicing HB and on the day of birthing my child I accepted the situation whole heartedly and took away the experience as a positive one. In combination with my strong research and teaching background as well as my advocacy for HB I wanted to 'spread the word' of the benefits of HB, this naturally led me to become a HB teacher. I absolutely love teaching it and knowing that I can and have made a profound difference for how parents to be approach the birth of their child gives me immense satisfaction.
Hello! My name is Lottie, author, writer and mum to two hypno babies - Mia and Lily. I'm a self confessed birth junkie and Doula having trained with the great Michel Odent in February 2013.
Being pregnant and giving birth is one of the most precious moments in life that should be cherished and experienced with gentle trepidation and positivity. Every baby deserves a beautiful calm birth and every mum deserves the support, information and tools to enable her to experience the birth she desires.
Informed choice is such a big issue for me. I believe that all women deserve to know that they are the only ones to 'allow' anything that happens to them or their body during pregnancy. We needn't live in undue fear.
I aim, with my courses to teach a calm and controlled approach to pregnancy and birth, and beyond. Incredibly passionate about breastfeeding, natural immunity and gentle attachment parenting I aim to share the knowledge I have gained since becoming a mum to help other mums to be (and dads) to benefit fully from the get go.

Hypnobirthing produces effective, more stress-free childbirth to the mother and baby through the use of hypnosis methods to create relaxation. Our teachers are here to teach and support you, so that you can achieve this relaxation during your birthing for you and your baby.
We have teachers throughout Central London and Greater London, which means that wherever you live in the capital, you should be able to find someone who can support you and teach you hypnobirthing techniques for when you give birth. Each of them has been trained and assessed by us, so you can rest assured that whoever you choose, you will receive the best levels of support possible.
Our Core Principles
Each of our teachers also adheres to our code of practice, embracing ethics and best practice when teaching natural childbirth techniques, to enhance birthing for mothers. We also ask them to promote hypnobirthing and natural childbirth, if they do not do so already, to help make it a more widespread choice for a mother and to become more widely understood, generally.
