Hypnobirthing Scotland - Teachers' Directory
I'm a full time mum of two wonderful wee people, hypnobirthing teacher and a part-time geophysicist.
I'm from south west Scotland but have been in Aberdeenshire for almost 10years, I love it here and my kids do too.
I found hypnobirthing during my first pregnancy through a wonderful yoga class and there's been no going back ever since. It made such a difference to both of my births that I felt compelled to train and allow more women to be able to experience a calm, relaxed birth. I love teaching hypnobirthing and sharing my passion for positive birth with other mums locally. Just get in touch if you'd like to know more about the classes available, I'm always happy to chat Hypnobirthing!
My name is Abi, I am a mum of two boys and live in the north side of Glasgow.
Im a qualified social worker, and am passionate about supporting and empowering others. I have been involved in the social care sector for over a decade.
My family and friends are the most important this to me, but I also love cooking, baking, music and sport.
I was originally recommended hypnobirthing by a friend who is a midwife. I was initially skeptical of it and imagined it being a very alternative "tree hugging" approach. However, I trusted by friend and her opinion and went on the course. After having two very positive births of my own, I know that hypnobirthing works, and can transform your birthing experience.
Im really excited and honored to be able to support other couples to be able to experience positive births.

The effects of hypnobirthing are wonderful and will empower you to relax and trust your body and your baby . The course teaches simple deep relaxation, massage and breathing techniques which allow for a better birth experience. Hypnobirthing also values the contribution of your birthing partner, giving them a role in helping you to bring your baby into the world in most gentle and loving way.

Hi my name is Suzanne and I'm a hypnobirthing mum too! I discovered hypnobirthing as labour absolutely terrified me and I was adamant there must be something out there that could help me get through it and there was! Hypnobirthing literally changed my pregnancies and made it such an amazing experience that I knew I had to pass this knowledge on to other mums-to-be so they can have the same positive experience as us.

Hi I offer a wide variety of services from Conception to birthing and beyond. I work as a Complementary therapist and Hypnotherapist at the Rosemount Centre in Aberdeen where I also hold my Hypnobirthing classes.
I am currently undergoing Doula training and Placenta Encapsulation. My own deliveries were very much in the clinical style 30 years ago even though I wanted a more holistic approach so Hypnobirthing is very much close to my heart.
I want mothers to feel in control of their deliveries and to have the best birth experience possible.

My own childhood experiences, becoming a parent myself and working with troubled and troubling people (in roles within social work, counseling, education and in the third sector) helped me recognize the importance of supporting parents and creating space to help each of us explore what parenting means and how to go about it.
KG Hypnobirthing provides a framework for couples to do exactly that: our classes share knowledge and skills that help parents skillfully navigate their way through the maternity system. Our classes remind us of the joys of childbirth and help us relax and explore our fears. Overall, hypnobirthing ensures that whatever circumstances arise, couples have the tools to remain calm, make the right decisions for them and have their best possible birth experience.
A positive birth experience creates a wonderful foundation for future family life.
I first became interested in hypnobirthing during my studies of hypnotherapy. I was amazed by the difference that hypnobirthing made and I am passionate about working with parents-to-be to encourage a positive birth experience. My background in paediatric nursing provided me with experience of working with families often in a supportive role. It was these experiences which encouraged me to pursue a Post-Graduate Certificate in Counselling Studies and a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Along with my nursing background, I have worked in a supportive role with Parentline, and also as a support worker for vulnerable adults.
My daughter was born in 2015 and my son arrived in November 2016. I realised after having my daughter how uninformed and underprepared I was regarding labour and I found it a frightening experience. I decided to train with KG Hypnobirthing as I have always promoted positive, mental and physical health for others, and also wanted to give myself the best opportunity for a positive birth experience with my second child.
AS a practising Clinical Hypnotherapist with many years experience, I have seen the many benefits of Hypnotherapy to help reduce stress, anxiety and help build confidence and an inner peacefulness. This is so very clearly demonstrated with my hypnobirthing parents .Hypnobirthing allows me to teach mums how to work with their bodies during this wonderful special time. I enjoy working with mums and dads to help them grow together during the pregnancy and birth in a calm and relaxed way.
