Mind and Body Scotland is owned by Renee who provides Hypnotherapy, aspects of pregnancy, birth and early parenting support including hypnobirthing and Brain Working Recursive Therapy. Renee began working as a Complimentary Therapist in 2003 after training as a Reiki Master and a Massage Therapist. Specialising in Antenatal Care and Parenting Renee became a Well Mother Practitioner 2007 and then trained with NCT graduating from the University of Bedfordshire as an Antenatal Teacher 2012. At the same time she completed her training and became an recognised Birth & Postnatal Doula with Doula UK and the Scottish Doula Network.
As her work progressed Renee recognised that Hypnosis would help many of her clients, i.e. those with phantom limb pain, those for whom massage was not appropriate e.g. clients with cancer and the mums that she had been supporting for a number of years with teaching breathing, positions for labour & birth and relaxations. The needs of her clients encouraged her to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy 2014 and to go further and specialise in Hypnobirthing 2014 & 2017, Weight Management & Eating Issues 2016 & most recently Psychosexual Dysfuction 2017 and Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) 2017.
Currently Renee is a Mentor of newly trained Doulas for Doula UK and a lay member of the NHS Lothian MSLC.
Renee’s range of qualifications and experience blend together to provide quality regulated therapy and her practice is approved by the C.N.H.C.(set up by the government to protect you). Renee works with a variety of people to help and support them through different times in their lives, from: school children, students, young childbearing age parents to people who have painful or distressing illnesses and people who have severe phobias, those suffering from food, alcohol, gambling, some drug addictions to those men and women in need of end of life support.

Before undertaking the KG Hypnobirthing course,I was a registered nurse working in both hospital and general practice. This experience coupled with being a mother and grandmother has provided me with valuable knowledge and skills to ensure delivery of a caring and empathetic antenatal experience to you and your baby
I first became interested in hypnobirthing during my studies of hypnotherapy. I was amazed by the difference that hypnobirthing made and I am passionate about working with parents-to-be to encourage a positive birth experience. My background in paediatric nursing provided me with experience of working with families often in a supportive role. It was these experiences which encouraged me to pursue a Post-Graduate Certificate in Counselling Studies and a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Along with my nursing background, I have worked in a supportive role with Parentline, and also as a support worker for vulnerable adults.
My daughter was born in 2015 and my son arrived in November 2016. I realised after having my daughter how uninformed and underprepared I was regarding labour and I found it a frightening experience. I decided to train with KG Hypnobirthing as I have always promoted positive, mental and physical health for others, and also wanted to give myself the best opportunity for a positive birth experience with my second child.
My name is Victoria. I am a qualified midwife and have four children. Throughout my career as a midwife I have worked in three large hospitals, two in London and one in Edinburgh. Completing my family in 2014, having four children under the age of 4 years old, gave me a different focus and changed my ideals. I had witnessed women using hypnobirthing for their birth experiences before and was amazed at the benefits. This is what led me to becoming a KG Hypnobirthing teacher. My vast experience as a qualified midwife and a Mum of four children gives me invaluable added knowledge. I am very passionate and excited about the programme I teach. I know it works! The knowledge and skills I will teach you will make a positive difference to your birth experience. I am passionate about positive birth and sharing knowledge and information to acheive the birth that you want. I provide KG Hypnobirthing classes, one to one, in West Lothian, South Queensferry, Falkirk, Kirkliston, Bo'ness, Stirling and Edinburgh. I also provide Relaxation In Pregnancy antenatal classes in Linlithgow on a Tuesday evening in 4 week blocks and Hypnobirthing Basics classes too as an introduction to Hypnobirthing. More information is on my Facebook page, KG Hypnobirhting West Lothian.
