Hypnobirthing Shropshire - Teachers' Directory
Hello, I am Michelle Howse; Company Director of Our Baby. I offer a wide range of antenatal classes, and services to help you to prepare for the birth and to enjoy being new parents, do visit my website for more details. I'm thrilled to teach Katherine Graves Hypnobirthing and hope that you will join me in my class so that I may help empower you to relax and enjoy preparing for the birth of your baby. I qualified as a midwife in 1987 so I have been practising for 27 years! I have experience in all aspects of midwifery but have specialised in community and midwife led care mainly in and around Shropshire, I am proud to have attended many women who gave birth at home. I have many years’ experience in providing NHS antenatal education classes for expectant parents, professional training to health care practitioners and teaching childcare and health and social care in schools and colleges. I discovered a love of imparting information and facilitating decision making which led to learning labour relaxation and active birth techniques. I have training in UNICEF Baby Friendly breastfeeding support. For many years I taught pregnancy exercise to music and aquanatal classes. I qualified as a health visitor in 2004 and as a teacher in 2006. I am also qualified to teach baby massage and paediatric first aid. I look forward to meeting you
I am a Registered Psychologist and have also been fully trained in HypnoBirthing by Katharine Graves, the pioneer of the first UK-based HypnoBirthing method (the KG method). As well as working professionally in this area, I am also a HypnoBirthing mum of 2 sons; I fully understand the significance and importance of your own individual birthing journey. Given my own incredible experience of birthing my two young children, I am a staunch advocate of the HypnoBirthing method of birthing and this is what inspired me to teach this to other expectant mums and dads.
