Hypnobirthing Wales - Teachers' Directory
When we found out I was pregnant, my partner and I knew we wanted to do something to prepare positvely for our birth and decided that hypnobirthing would be part of our story. Having personally experienced the benefits I am testament to the value of hypnobirthing through pregnancy, birth and beyond, for mother, partner and baby. This experience led me to train as a KGHypnobirthing teacher. I am passionate about sharing these tools with other women, to help families achieve the very best start to their story.
I'm a Registered Midwife and have worked in all areas of maternity. I am passionate about supporting women's choices and helping them to achieve the birth that's right for them.
I'm a mother of two adult boys and slave to a naughty dog and a haughty cat.
I love teaching and feel enormous gratitude that I am able to witness the transformation that women and their families go through as they journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Originally trained as a counsellor, I worked with young people with addiction and later qualified as a secondary school teacher. During this time I also learned to meditate and soon began to pass on this skill to others; I have now been teaching meditation for almost thirty years. Having used a form of hypnobirthing for my second and third births, and to support my own daughter in the birth of her baby, I wanted to combine this knowledge with my knowledge of relaxation and mindfulness techniques to support pregnant women further. I completed the KGHypnobirthing course to enable me to offer this specialist technique with the antenatal element which I believe so strongly is crucial to empowering women in taking control of their births.
My name is Cate Awelan and I am a qualified KG Hypnobirthing teacher. I originally trained as a social worker and now am a work at home mum to two girls. I have lived in Conwy, North Wales for the past 7 years and love being on the edge of Snowdonia and beside the sea! As well as teaching Hypnobirthing and being at home with my daughters, I work for a community transformation charity and am on the advisory board for a Birth Trauma Listening organisation. After having two hypnobirths, one at home and one in the hospital, I am passionate about seeing women empowered to have the best birth possible. I believe that Hypnobirthing is a fantastic tool to empower and resource mums and their partners.
I am an ex midwife/nurse, trained therapist and Hypnotherapist who is passionate about Hypnobirthing. I am a mum with 3 grown up children and have a granddaughter and grandson. Both my daughters used Hypnobirthing and found it extremely beneficial. I am currently working as a Senior Therapist and a Hypnotherapist in a local University and run a private practise. I can also be found as a practitioner on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy website Registration number 045310. However, I have always missed being a midwife so feel this opportunity to teach Hypnobirthing gives me the best of both worlds that I would love to share with prospective parents!. I would be happy to meet to discuss your requirements either in person or over the telephone or skype.
I am the mother of three beautiful daughters, age 9, 5 and 1, all birthed using hypnobirthing. I was so amazed by my experience of birth, being quite sceptical initially, I found myself desperately wanting to share the empowering experience I had with other expectant mothers. What better way than to teach others what I had learnt. I therefore chose to train as a practitioner with Kathrine Graves. My training is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), covering three elements hypnosis for birthing, hypnobirthing, and birthing foundation. I am an enthusiastic, friendly and patient teacher. I am passionate about empowering couples to achieve the best possible birthing experience they can. I am a warm and compassionate person who can support you through the training process and beyond. As a mother who has used hypnobirthing to deliver three beautiful baby girls into the workd I know it works and have confidence that it is truly possible to achieve a personally satisfying birth for all involved.
Hi – I’m Lindy, having been a proud HypnoBirthing Mum to my second child, inspired and passionate, I had the opportunity to change my life path and became a HypnoBirthing teacher, bringing the’ KG’ methods to North Wales.
I am 41, a mother of two. I discovered hypnobirthing during my first pregnancy. I knew I wanted to give birth at home, where I felt safest. I had read about Hypnobirthing and being a primary school teacher I thought more knowledge is a good thing! My husband would not even consider a home birth but after only the first Hypnobirthing session he agreed that I should be where I felt safest. Not only did I feel empowered but so did he, realising that he would be actively involved. Both our children are hypnobirthing babies, born gently and calmly in a birthing pool. My own experience inspired me to become a hypnobirthing teacher. I am passionate about helping other couples welcome their babies to have the most calm, comfortable and memorable birth possible. Hypnobirthing brings the whole family together right from the beginning!
