Helen Keast – Bump2baby Reality

I have taught  parents-to-be since 2010 after quality with Bedford University as an Antenatal Educator. In 2015 I qualified as a hypnobirthing practitioner with KG Hypnobirthing and I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association.

My philosopy is simple ‘that all parents-to-be are happy and fully informed about their choices, are able to make and agree any decisions about their care to the benefit of both mother and her baby’.

I have a general nursing background and bring a wealth of NHS experience to the  team and a real drive to deliver the goals and aspirations of Bump2baby Reality to support local families. I am actively involved with Warwick Hospital maternity unit. In 2014 – 16 I chaired the Maternity Partnership, and I continue to attend the, Midwifery Guideline Forum.  This enables me to keep the team up to date with local practises, and deliver information to parents-to-be that help them make informed decisions about their maternity care. I also lecture to student midwives at Coventry University about private antenatal provision.

My background is in acute nursing having worked as an RGN for 16 years both within clinical and managerial settings. I worked at Warwick Hospital for 8 years as a senior nurse in the operating theatre and within trust management holding positions of project manager and later a trust quality coordinator. I have also worked as a project nurse for Bedford NHS Trust and Bedford NHS direct. My final nursing position was as a nurse advisor for an international loss adjuster company. I am a member of the Federation of Antenatal Educators FEDANT National Registration Number 12180
