Hypnobirthing Yorkshire W - Teachers' Directory
I am an advocate for normal birth and believe preparation is the key. We prepare for many life events, and we research thoroughly when making major life decisions, but birth preparation is often disregarded or left until the last minute and undertaken in a panic. Our understanding of the birth process is commonly based on horror stories shared by wellmeaning family and friends or based on misguided representations by the media. Positive Beginnings aims to address the balance with the 3 P’s.
POSITIVITY, PREPARATION AND PRACTICE.
I'm a practising midwife with nearly 10 years experience. I have worked across all areas of maternity but have a passion for birth and promoting a positive birth environment.
My name is Aimee, I'm a mum of two beautiful little humans and a former Secondary School teacher of ten years! I'm also proud to say I am a trained KG Hypnobirthing teacher. I felt my heart was moving towards this area of work after experiencing what Hypnobirthing can do for both mum and her partner. Hypnobirthing was a very personal journey that helped me overcome so much fear and I feel extremely lucky to be in a position that gives women that same experience.
Practising midwife for 26 years. I am currently a community midwife. I have worked widely in all aspects of maternity care and help deliver part of the Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond programme in Leeds. I am also a clinical educator working withh students doctors and midwives. I believe passionately in promoting normality in pregnancy and empowering women to make informed choices regarding all aspects of their pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.
Lover of cake, a good cup of tea and the sea. My happy place. Oh and the big one, I am also a trained KGH hypnobirther and therapist.
My work as a therapist has allowed me to spend lots of time with people working through their feelings of anxiety and low self esteem. It is through this that I fell in love with talking to expectant parents and challenging them to expect more from their birth experience.
I believe that every woman should be able to find a useful, authentic message about the options they have to birth their baby. Just as every person is different, every birth is your personal experience and one that should be embraced without fear. My work is about giving women the information they need to understand their wonderful bodies and plan for their birth experience.
What I am promising you is the opportunity to learn everything you need to know to make the right choices for you. To learn practical techniques to use during your labour and have the delivery you want. The best delivery for you and your baby. To let go of the fear and embrace your birth for the amazing experience it is.
So have a read, check out a class or drop me a message to chat about getting started.
My name is Sara, proud mama to my baby daughter and birth geek spreading positivity across the Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate area.
After discovering hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my first child I was intrigued. The more I read about it, the more convinced I was that I should try it.
A few months later and I had confidently and calmly brought my son into the world using all the techniques I had learnt when I took the course myself. I felt utterly empowered and amazed by how perfectly my body was made to give birth.
At this point I couldn't understand why every couple wasn't using these techniques to prepare for the birth of their child and wanted to spread the word. I realised perhapsthe best way to do this was to train as a hypnobirthing teacher myself.
I am already a teacher by trade, so teaching hypnobirthing seemed like the perfect fit for me, and so far I love teaching it.
I am a qualified practising midwife working in a busy maternity unit supporting women and their families in pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. I am also a licensed KG hypnobirthing teacher (DipHB KG) trained via the KG Hypnobirthing, accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.
I believe in the power of the mind and its ability to change how we view and tackle our experiences. I also strongly believe in the body’s ability to birth.
I am passionate about supporting women and their partners to be knowledgeable about pregnancy and become confident in their ability to birth and manage their birth experience, however challenging, in a positive way.
I am a fully qualified KG hypnobirthing teacher.
I am passionate about hypnobirthing since using it to birth my son in 2013.
I am also a fully qualified counsellor / therapist; a mother of 2 and an enthusiastic gardener and chicken keeper!
Congratulations on your pregnancy and thank you for visiting my page. I am a KG Hypnobirthing teacher trained by Katharine Graves. Being a KG Hypnobirthing teacher is a huge privilege and I welcome the opportunity of working with you to achieve the best birth for you and your baby.
Giving birth to my daughter in 1997 I was interested in having as natural a birth as possible. During pregnancy I listened to a tape (no CD's in those days!) which had relaxing music and guided suggestions, I learned to relax through breathing and visualisations and used this during the birth. The midwives commented how calm I was as a first time older mother.
Hypnobirthing teaches you how your body works, and how to work with your body. It provides you with relaxation techniques, breathing exercises and much more. It is a full in-depth antenatal training programme - logical, simple and practical. Your body is designed by nature to give birth and giving birth can be the most wonderful and empowering experience of your life. KG Hypnobirthing can allow you to experience the magic of birth to the full.
I am a qualified teacher in Adult and Further Education and look forward to working with you.
As a hypnotherapist and a mother having had two very different births, I was very excited to explore KG Hypnobirthing myself as it was so highly recommended by my Hypnotherapy tutor. Being a KG Hypnobirthing teacher is a privilege because it means that I am able to assist women in having an empowering birth experience and increase the likelihood of them having a calm and natural birth with little or no need of pain relief.
I was a State Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience running my own business in the healthcare industry. After supporting my own daughter through the birth of her first child I was amazed at the powerful effect hypnobirthing could have. My daughter had a great fear of childbirth from a very early age and her fear was completely overcome by a course of hypnobirthing. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl in a very calm and controlled way without the need of any pain controlled drugs or any medical intervention. This led me into my new and rewarding career change and I am delighted to be able to pass on my knowledge to couples in an enjoyable way. Being a hypnobirthing teacher means I can give couples the confidence that they can look forward to their babies birth by teaching them techniques that work effectively to reduce the fear of childbirth and increases the likelihood of having a natural birth with less need for pain relief.
