The results speak for themselves from hospitals, midwives, mothers and fathers & we invite you to read our testimonials and birth stories. Our happy clients, both parents, teachers and midwives are the true testament to how well Hypnobirthing works.
Katharine Graves, founder of KG Hypnobirthing and the Hypnobirthing Association has developed and adapted the course over the years in response to the latest research, client feedback and the needs of mothers and babies. Her outstanding knowledge and skills have resulted in KG Hypnobirthing, a comprehensive, in-depth antenatal course being accepted as the premier UK course for professionals and parents alike.
Today Katharine concentrates her time training Medical Professionals and Teachers, and writing and speaking about Hypnobirthing and Natural Childbirth, and she also still teaches the hypnobirthing she loves to couples.
KG Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal training that is simple, logical and profound.
As well as being the leading training in the UK for hospitals and midwives, the course covers active birth and mindfulness, and we have been told that it is the most comprehensive and in-depth training available.
KG Hypnobirthing provides a complete support system to help you establish hypnobirthing in your hospital.
The results and benefits are exceptional:

Midwives report that it renews the vision that brought them into the profession and gives them greater job satisfaction.
Hospitals that we have trained as hypnobirthing hospitals have reported that, although very naturally some members of staff were sceptical at the beginning, within a year everyone is on board because they have seen the difference that hypnobirthing makes.
This does wonders for staff morale, saves midwifery time, and creates a positive change of ethos in the department.
Improved Birth Outcomes
For Mothers hypnobirthing helps them enjoy a more comfortable birth, and for many this has meant a shorter and more straightforward labour. For some it has actually been a pain free birth. Even when labour takes an unexpected turn, the hypnobirthing training a mother receives prior to birth will help her, and we often receive very positive reports even after an induced labour. There are many benefits for the mother even if she is having a planned caesarean. If a mother experiences birth as calm, gentle and drug-free, then so does her baby. A responsive and healthy baby is ready to bond with its mother and the medical and developmental advantages of this are significant. Good feeding and sleeping patterns often go hand in hand with hypnobirthing.
The unit benefits from the financial savings due to shorter labours with less interventions.
From the figures from the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust:
A 5% reduction in caesareans brings a considerable saving.
A 10% reduction makes a very substantial saving.
Fewer complications mean shorter hospital stays and less midwifery time. This releases funds for other projects in the department.

We provide on-going support for midwives with study days for cpd after training. Every unit is different, but we will work with you and your unit to support you in the way that is best for you. What Does the KG Hypnobirthing Course Cover?
Our specialist hospital division has been carefully put together to give you the best possible training. Every hospital has different needs and priorities so we will listen to you, and tailor a training that will work for you in your hospital.
An overview of topic areas is shown below. If you wish to know more details about any of these areas please contact us.
Hypnotherapy for Hypnobirthing is an online module that is streamed onto your computer. This module provides loads of practical information essential to you throughout your KG Hypnobirthing career. Presented as web based learning it will give you all the background knowledge you need to gain maximum benefit from the KG Hypnobirthing Teacher Training Module.
This is one part of the course that is sometimes under-estimated. It is important for teachers to have an understanding of and practice in hypnotherapy before they start to teach couples hypnobirthing, otherwise they will just be repeating the material by rote. To have a brief explanation is quite different to having spent time actually being shown the hypnotherapy techniques. We provide you with the best possible training, and you are provided with an in-depth manual to refer to after the course.
- An introduction to hypnotherapy
- Achieving the maximum effect
- Laws of the mind
- Induction techniques
- Deep confidence
KG Hypnobirthing Teacher Training Course is taught by an experienced specialist hypnobirthing teacher who is either a senior midwife or else has in-depth knowledge of midwifery.
This module is the core of the course and we go through the content of the course, exploring why it is constructed as it is, and explaining how to teach it.
On this module you are given a copy of The Hypnobirthing Book, the KG Hypnobirthing relaxation CD, Colour and Calmness, your teaching folder, and a copy of the handouts you give to parents when you teach.
There is also a section on getting going as a new KG Hypnobirthing teacher, which includes information on marketing, insurance, etc. This is enormously helpful when you start teaching.

- The mind/body continuum
- How to achieve the best possible birth
