Course Venue

Beside Westminster Bridge and just a few minutes' walk from Westminster or Waterloo, St Thomas' Hospital is easily accessable from London and beyond.

The training room in this prestigeous London hospital has wonderful views across London, and is quiet and peaceful as well as being so very convenient.  It is particularly convenient for the Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo Lines, and is only a few minutes' walk from Waterloo and Waterloo East stations so is ideal for couples who live in Clapham, Putney, Wimbledon, Bromley, Guildford, Surrey, Kent and the London suburbs. It is also only a short walk across Westminster Bridge from Westminster Station served by the Jubilee, District and Circle Lines.

Some of our course dates are on Sundays so you can easily park in the roads off Royal Street, just across Lambeth Palace Road from the hospital.

Classes are held in the Antenatal Training Room on the 8th Floor of the North Wing.

Hospitals can be confusing places, so I would be particularly grateful if you would arrive 15 minutes early so that we can start on time.

Nearest Tube:  Lambeth North (Bakerloo Line – 644 metres), Waterloo (Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern and Waterloo & City Lines – 966 metres),

Nearest Rail:  Waterloo (15 minutes’ walk)

Bus Routes:  2, 12, 53, 76, 77, 148, 159, 211, 341, 344, 381, 453, 507, C10, RV1

Road Access:  Close to A 304 for A3, A4, M4 and M25.

Parking:  The hospital has a car park which is quite expensive, but on Sundays and Saturday afternoons there is free parking in the roads around Royal Street which is a turning off Lambeth Palace Road opposite the hospital.

Congestion Charge:  St Thomas’ Hospital is in the Congestion Charge Zone, but no congestion charge is payable at the weekend.

Tea and coffee are provided in the breaks.  There are two cafes in the hospital and an M&S Simply Food, or you can bring a packed lunch.  There is also a room overlooking the river where you can eat your lunch.  There are not many places near the hospital that are close enough to be convenient.  On the second day we have a shared lunch so everyone brings something to share between us.  It is always a very happy occasion when we have the chance to get to know each other better.
