Hypnobirthing Belgium - Teachers' Directory
A British Expat living in Belgium, able to teach you in English or Flemish. Having given birth in Belgium I understand at first hand the procedures that take place here regarding birth and the importance KG Hypnobirthing will bring to any couple bringing a new life into the world.
To briefly introduce myself, I am Johanna, a mum, yoga teacher specialised in pre-and postnatal yoga and yoga for stress management, a hypnobirthing teacher, a postpartum doula and a career/ life advice coach for parents! I LOVE all these different things that I do and always give my all in everything I do. I am based in Brussels, Belgium, but happy to work anywhere! I work in English, French & German and speak Flemish as well. <3
I love working with pregnant couples and parents in the postnatal period by teaching yoga and relaxation techniques and helping with parent and baby/ child connection. Pre-birth I can support you in preparing for a calm, confident birth on your own terms through my hypnobirthing and birth preparation/ relaxation classes. Post-birth I can also work with you on your body image and building strength again and can teach you how to massage your little one. As a postpartum doula, I can also come to your home and help out for a couple of hours, listen to you, help with the little one(s) and more. I am trained in breastfeeding, sleep and postnatal depression support.
In yoga, my second passion lies in anxiety and stress management through yoga and other relaxation, breathing and mindfulness techniques. I especially like working with schools (primary and secondary) to support both students and teachers deal with stress, pressure and anxiety.
Additionally, I enjoy working with families and little yoga groups of friends in the comfort of their homes. We will do relaxing and fun yoga together, learning new poses. No previous yoga experience needed.
Thirdly, I love training new wonderful pre- and postnatal yoga teachers! So reach out for me if you are interested in my online trainings that you can start at any point and can finish as quickly or slowly as you like.
Having changed career/ life paths multiple times in my twenties, my passion lies in helping those on a career break (e.g. parents who didn't work for a while) or thinking about changing to a new career (perhaps even in a completely different or unknown field) with this process.
I provide support in finding your next endeavour, preparing a tailor-made CV for your situation, a great cover letter for the job of your dreams, helping you prepare for job interviews and much more!
I further love working with companies and organisations to help create a less stressful work environment. No yoga room needed - Most exercises can be done at your desk/ on a chair :)
Ahh, I would absolutely love to hear from you <3
Don't hesitate to contact me with any and all questions no matter what it's about :)
Have the best day!
All my love,
I am committed to empowering women to have a positive birth experience and that no matter how you birth your baby you feel calm and safe. Sharing the wonders of hypnobirthing with you would be my greatest pleasure.
Before coming to Belgium I was a qualified nurse with 25 years practical experience and a Master of Studies in Primary and Community Care from Cambridge University. Studing for a Diploma in Antenatal Education from the University of Bedford (UK) kept me busy as we settled into life in Belgium. I was a Prenatal Teacher for the BCT for 5 years. I qualified as a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher in August 2020.
Hello, I am Cindy. I am a KG Hypnobirthing teacher, pregnancy photographer, doula and yoga teacher. I work in German, Spanish, English and French.
I was born and raised in Berlin but have lived since 2007 in Seville (Spain) and London (UK). In 2017, love brought me to Brussels where I currently live with my family.
I didn’t take the pregnancy of my first baby for granted. Maybe this is why I enjoyed it that much. I’d never felt that much magic: I was growing a tiny human inside of me. How amazing was that? How was my body able to master that extremely beautiful task?
I was so impressed by everything I learnt reading during the pregnancy that I decided to dig deeper and dedicate myself to that wonder on earth: birth. I combined that love with my other passions: photography and yoga.
It is mostly the natural and intimate moments and feelings I love to capture.
My two children were born in a midwife-led birth house integrated in a hospital and until now I still believe that thanks to the midwives' loving holistic approach to childbirth, the births of both of my children became the most empowering and beautiful experience I could have wished for. It was them who introduced me to hypnobirthing.
Unfortunately, having magical and loving support while you birth your child into this world is not the norm and for that reason I decided to become doula: no women should feel alone, pressured or without support while doing the most magical thing on earth: bringing a human into the world.
