I am Eleanor, a KG Hypnobirthing teacher and postnatal doula based in rural Wiltshire, near Bath.

I am passionate about the need for birthing people to understand as much as possible about their baby’s birth, and to have the confidence to ask questions, do research and make informed choices. My training as both a hypnobirthing teacher and doula has given me the in-depth knowledge on birth physiology, the support needed and the rights woman have when in labour and birthing their baby. It makes complete sense to me to use what I have learnt, then learn more about hypnobirthing and put the two things together as they overlap and complement each other so well. 

I feel so incredibly lucky to have had such positive birth experiences with both my daughters, and very much want to share my knowledge with others. Everyone has the right to a positive and empowering birth experience.

KG Hypnobirthing provides the birthing person with evidence-based scientific information, relaxation tools and support to ensure they are confident, calm and feel safe enough to give birth effectively and without fear, reducing pain, interventions and the risk of complications and surgery. It gives both the birthing person and partner the knowledge and understanding of the choices they have and helps them to make informed decisions to enable them to be fully prepared for the birth of their baby. 

It equips the birth partner with a good evidence-based understanding of the birth physiology, the labour process and what they might expect during labour and birth. It alleviates fear and enables them to be fully supportive of the birthing person. It provides them with the resources needed to provide relaxations to build confidence in the birthing person and to create a calm and safe environment for them to give birth in. 

When KG Hypnobirthing is used, the labour is shorter and therefore less stressful for the baby. The baby will be born in a calm, relaxed environment where the birthing person feels safe, which helps their bonding experience, leading to them being more likely to have a successful breastfeeding experience.

KG Hypnobirthing is effective for all types of birth, including caesarean births.
