About Me
Having never heard of Hypnobirthing until I discovered it at 30 weeks pregnant, I am still amazed by the experience and the path it has led me to follow.
My husband and I were intrigued about what Hypnobirthing claimed to be able to do for us and as soon as we started attending our local classes, we were instantly impressed. We learned so much more than the other antenatal classes we attended and we realised there was a very real alternative to the drama, pain and drugs portrayed on television, in films or through the media, along with friends' stories/experiences and what is generally expected by all women.
The techniques I learned in the classes quickly helped me release all the anxiety and fear that I had been feeling, so the latter part of my pregnancy became a much more relaxed and enjoyable affair!
When the big day came, it couldn't have gone better. I was calm and relaxed throughout, didn't need any pain relief at all and my daughter came out coo-ing instead of screaming, appreciating her calm entry into the world as much as we did!
As a result of my experience, I knew more parents needed to know about Hypnobirthing, so I decided to change careers completely and become a HypnoBirthing Educator in 2012, training with The HypnoBirthing Institute in The Mongan Method. I am so very passionate about Hypnobirthing, having experienced it first hand, understanding how much it can help women during their pregnancy, during labour and even long after the baby is born and watching all the couples I teach transform and go on to have better birth experiences too.
In 2020, I furthered my Hypnobirthing career by training with KGHypnobirthing, the home Hypnobirthing in the UK, so that the couples I teach can have the very best experience from the course and further increase their chances of having a wonderful birth. There is so much to gain from attending a KGHypnobirthing course and I am so happy to be teaching this UK-based programme to local mums and dads so they can experience a calm, relaxed and comfortable birth too.
Why KG Hypnobirthing?
My courses will provide you with all you need to help prepare for your labour and baby's birth. KGHypnobirthing is a complete and comprehensive antenatal education, so you do not need to attend other antenatal courses although some couples still do.
The course fee includes all of the following:
- 12 hours of face to face tuition based on the latest research in birthing
- The Hypnobirthing Book by Katharine Graves, your companion towards birth
- Core relaxation tracks and access to additional tracks if needed
- A comprehensive folder of handouts to support your learning, preparation and also the birth itself
- You also have my full support after the course is finished with any questions, wobbles or changes in your care as your pregnancy continues. I am here via phone/text/email to help you have more information and/or context to help you feel confident in the decisions you make.
My role as your KGHypnobirthing teacher ultimately is to educate, empower and support you as you prepare for your baby's birth.
