Hypnobirthing Review – Charlotte (Mum to be)
I started my Hypnobirthing course with Victoria when I was 31 weeks pregnant. Prior to this I had been in regular contact with Victoria discussing the first steps into Hypnobirthing and how to proceed going forward.
This is my first pregnancy so is all new to me; I had briefly heard of Hypnobirthing in the past and always had an interest in getting to know it better when the time was right.
Victoria had been referred to me via a friend, and by god am I glad of this! I now have a complete different outlook on my birth, and have a much calmer approach to it. The course I had with Victoria was very informative, relaxing and she gave me a lot of practice techniques to use in between now and my birth which are helping by the day. Victoria gave me the confidence to see the ability in myself to birth my baby and see things in a different way and now I am so excited to experience this next chapter in my life.
Victoria was very natural at delivering her course, she spoke from experience and really made my birthing partners see the importance of their role too. She made us all feel at ease and gave my husband and mum a different outlook on what is to come.
I am still in contact with Victoria now as she sends me the occasional text here and there to check on my progress and advise me she’s there with any questions I may have. I felt and still feel thoroughly supported throughout this journey and thank Victoria very much for her delivery of the Hypnobirthing Course. I can’t wait to share with her my birth story in a few short weeks. Until then, where my mind goes my body follows, and the positivity shall always continue!
Many thanks,
Charlotte – Mama to be
My wife had always been interested in Hypnobirthing and when we found out we were expecting she read up a little on it however never booked onto a course. It was when she was around 25 weeks pregnant that she was referred to Victoria via a friend and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get to know it a bit better. I had never heard of Hypnobirthing before and it was mentioned more and more as birthing techniques when we attended Birthing Classes at our local hospital. It was only then I realised that Hypnobirthing was an actual form of preparing for birth!
We went to meet Victoria when Charlotte – my wife was 31 weeks pregnant to undergo the course. I went in with an open mind but never really understood the meaning behind it. Victoria spent the whole day with my wife, her mum and I and I left feeling more excited for the birth of my baby than ever before. The course Victoria delivered us was such an eye opener to what’s behind hypnobirthing and it was explained and delivered to us in a way we all understood. It was focused towards us birthing partners as much as my wife (mum to be), which made me realise the importance in our roles at this exciting time in the pregnancy in preparation for birth. My wife is so much more relaxed, and positive that she is like a new person! We practice the techniques Victoria gave us from the course every day. I know Victoria keeps in regular contact with my wife Charlotte which keeps her spirits high too.
From starting off not knowing anything about Hypnobirthing I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is slightly interested in trying it out! Victoria was an amazing teacher and I would highly recommend her!
Many thanks,
