About Me
I am Philippa Matthews (many call me Pip). I am a Registered Adult Nurse BSc and DipHB (KGH) and mum of a gorgeous 2 year old girl.
I currently live in Jersey, Channel Islands with my husband of 7 years, our daughter and our 3 year old collie-cross.
I cannot wait to teach alongside my fellow hypnobirthing teachers to help teach and share the wonderful work of Katharine Graves.
Why KG Hypnobirthing?
After attending a hypnobirthing course when pregnant with our daughter, my husband and I were surprised that not everyone knew about this. I wanted to find a teacher training course to allow me to teach it to other mothers and their birth partners, having found our own hypnobirthing experience invaluable. The practice my husband and I engaged in, in the lead up to our daughter’s birth brought us closer together, helped us prepare physically, psychologically and emotionally for the arrival of our little girl and enabled me to approach my birth confidently. It had such a positive impact in those first days/weeks as a new family.
KGHypnobirthing stood out to me when looking for a course to train in due to the wonderful response from others through feedback and also due to the accreditation with the RCM.
