Hello, I am Heidi and I teach KGHypnobirthing, Pregnancy Yoga and Baby Massage in and around the North Cornwall area. I have been teaching hypnobirthing to couples in groups and one to one sessions since 2010.
I am also a hypnobirthing mum myself, with my daughter born in 2011 and my son in 2012. The techniques helped me to release a lot fear around birth that was drip fed to me via recounts of my own birth and those portrayed in the media.
My wish is for you and your baby to have an empowered birth experience and the best start to life together.

I teach KGHypnobirthing (the teacher training course is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives) which is a complete and in-depth antenatal course. I give you the information and knowledge around the systems of birth and within the NHS. We will look at options and the implications of choices so that you can do what is right for you and your baby. Most importantly, and unique from other antenatal courses, we dispel the myths of a painful labour. We build a positive expectation of birth as a normal and natural function of the body so that you can release fear and trust your body, your baby and your instincts. I will guide you in techniques in breathing, deep relaxation and other tools that you and your birth partner will practice beforehand so that when the time comes to birth your baby you will feel confident, comfortable and relaxed.

"Hi Heidi, just to let you know that on Sunday 2nd December we welcomed our gorgeous son George William England into the world. He was 6 days late in the end! And weighed 8lb 8. He's a little beauty and doing really well.
Thankyou so much for all that you taught us, I felt very prepared & relaxed leading up to the birth. Unfortunately the birth didn't go as well as I'd hoped. After 27hours of labour George was born via emergency c-section as I was unable to get to 10cm. Thanks to all I had learned during the hypno birthing classes I managed to stay really calm & focused & 'in the zone' for a lot of the labour. Admittedly I did hit a few walls throughout but overall the nurses would continuously comment on my calmness and the mp3s got me through a very long & tiring labour. I'm also very pleased to say that George never once got in distress & I do believe this was down to being as relaxed as I was. The course is approximately 10 hours long and taught with the birth partner as group sessions or one to one courses. Refresher courses are available at a reduced price and length.
Weekday evening courses are 2 1/2 hours long and taught over 4 weeks or over 2 Saturdays consisting of 5 hours. I also offer a hypnobirthing intensive for those pushed for time. Private sessions also allow for more flexibility with times. Please enquire.
