I am a mother of 5 with a wide range of personal birth experiences from home birth to Caesarean section. I wish that I had known about Hypnobirthing when I was having my children!!
I have lived in Newquay since 2007 when I moved from London.
I am a community midwife. I completed my training at Kings College University London in 2005 and worked as a caseloading midwife for St Thomas’ for 2 years before the lure of the sea got me. Since the move I have been working as part of the Newquay Community Midwife Team.
In 2018 I developed my love of yoga and completed my teacher training in India.
In 2019 I decided to amalgamate the two and took the next logical step to do my Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga teacher training in St Agnes.
I have been teaching pregnancy yoga at Shiva Studio in Nansledan since 2020 (pandemic allowing) and at Atlantic Reach since 2022, and as the classes progressed more and more towards breath work and calming the mind, I realised that the next obvious step for me was to combine everything that I love and am passionate about and do my training as a Hypnobirth Teacher which I completed in January 2022 with KGH.
The KGH course was the obvious course for me as it is scientific and evidence based which appeals to the midwife in me!
