Hypnobirthing Essex - Teachers' Directory
I am a newly qualified KG Hypnbirthing practitioner. Having completed a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, I discovered the powerful impact of Hypnobirthing and just knew it would be something I would love to practise. I then completed by teaching course and have loved expanding my knowledge, supporting couples and bringing my knowledge of Hypnotherapy into the pre-natal world.
I had a positive birth experience when my son was born but felt challenged in my antenatal care by an overly medicalised approach to childbirth, as well as the popular notion that childbirth is an inevitably painful experience.
I used Hypnobirthing techniques suggested to me by a friend and it was these small pieces of advice that really helped me to navigate the medical system and to have a positive birth experience.
Realising after my son’s birth how integral these techniques had been, I looked into Hypnobirthing in more detail- reading books and speaking to people about their own Hypnobirthing experiences - and realised that the techniques I had used were just the tip of the amazing iceberg that is Hypnobirthing. I was astounded by the way that the skills that Hypnobirthing provides, along with the knowledge of how the body works in childbirth, can free women from the fear often felt about childbirth, enabling them to look forward to the birth of their child and to have incredibly empowering, positive birth experiences.
And so I knew I had to be part of it! I carried out my training with Katherine Graves and began in my mission to empower women and their partners to experience childbirth as the wonderful, natural experience it is.
I’m a mum of three with a background in performance. Pre-kids life consisted of auditions, occasional acting jobs and a lot of temping! I was a stay at home mum for a good chunk of my three little poppets’ lives. 2017 saw my last little one embark on school life; cue Mummy’s chance to retrain and re-enter the world of work. Teaching Hypnobirthing ticks all the boxes for me; I get to talk all things birth and positivity; I can work around my family life AND I have the pleasure of meeting and working with parents during the most beautiful and exciting time in their lives - lucky me!
I am a fully qualified Yoga Teacher, specialising in Pregnancy Yoga, and offering Parent & Baby Massage & Yoga classes. My name is Jules and I have been a hypnobirthing Practioner for the past 9 years now.
It was the birth of my second child which elated me so much that not only would I rather give birth like that everyday than have my bikini line waxed but which made me train as a Hypnobirthing Practioner in order to give back the enormous gift I had been given; informed learning.
Hypnobirthing gave me confidence I had not felt before as a birthing person. It encouraged relaxation along with active labour and educated me of much freer ways to birth. It also taught me the fundamental roles of all my care providers within the medical system but most importantly I was taught how to ask the right questions in the correct way resulting in me being more informed to make the right choices for myself. Without this knowledge I would not have been able to control my birth the way I had.
I am a true advocate of informed choices leading to empowered situations especially within birth and around birthing matters. Knowing your birthing rights is fundamental in todays society yet they are rarely spoken about within mainstream care. I strive to provide all the current information that birthing mothers and birthing people need as well as informing of the amazing biological and scientific reasons of why our bodies do what they do during birth.
When I am not geeking out over birth and hypnobirthing I am being Mum to Evie and Connor, taking long walks, planning our next holiday to Cornwall and researching the next best way of how to present this endless and fascinating programme to you amazing people.
Hello! My name is Linda. I am a fully qualified Hypnobirthing teacher, mum to two beautiful hypnobabies and an enthusiastic home baker.
I discovered Hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my first child, George. It completely changed my perception of giving birth and left me feeling empowered, confident and really excited at the prospect. I went on to have a fantastic home birth, in a birth pool with no pain relief needed. Hypnobirthing gave me the tools to achieve this
I have been a secondary school teacher for 9 years and absolutely love inspiring young people. After having my second child I decided to combine my teaching experience and my enthusiasm for HypnoBirthing and train to be a HypnoBirthing teacher myself. I am thrilled that my teaching has taken a new direction. Teaching women and their birth partners is so valuable as birthing your child is one of the most important events in any persons life. Teaching hynobirthing also means I get to bake as I make homemade cakes for every class – I could not be called Bun in the Oven Birthing without offering decent cakes!
I feel so privileged to have stumbled upon HypnoBirthing because it made my birthing experiences so positive. I want all women to have access to this course so they can in turn have a wonderful birth. I run small group classes from my home in Chelmsford, Essex and am also happy to travel to your home if you and your partner would like a private course.
I distinctly remember caring for my first 'hypnobirthing mum' as a student in 2012 and marvelling at how calm and confident she was during her labour and birth. Throughout my work since, I have continued to see the positive effects that hypnobirthing techniques and a good antenatal education can have on women and their partners. Knowledge is most definitely power in the context of maternity!
I'm based in Upminster, Essex, but currently offer virtual, private hypnobirthing and antenatal classes via Zoom. Feel free to reach out to discuss hypnobirthing and in-depth antenatal education further or to arrange a booking, or book directly at http://thebirthprepco.com
