About Me
Hi. I'm Verity, a lawyer, birth aficionado and mum of two boys (and therefore proud owner of a terrifying number of toy cars, trains, tractors and diggers...)
After a difficult birth with my first baby, I did a hypnobirthing course and had an absolutely magical homebirth with baby number two with no pain relief apart from a birthing pool and a bit of swearing at my husband. And all this was despite being an absolute cynic and having a hefty 9lb 1 baby.
Before having children my take on giving birth was pretty accurately summed up by Miranda from Sex and the City: "When this gets going, don't let anyone get all cheerleadery on me. I don't want any of that, you can do it, push push" And actually I still have that view as with hypnobirthing YOU are your own cheerleader and doing a hypnobirthing course will equip you with all the tools you need to know that you CAN do it (without any overzealous support from the sidelines).
I consider it an immense privilege to empower women to have the best birth possible for them.
