About Me

Hi! My name is Carla I am a KG Hypnobirthing Antenatal Practitioner and Holistic Birth Mentor and trainee Hypnotherapist. I am a mum to two beautiful little souls and live in sunny Herne Bay on the Kent Coast.

Having discovered the benefits of hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my first baby, I simply could not keep it to myself, a view shared by many hypnobirthing mamas! As soon as my youngest was old enough for me to return to work I took the plunge and decided on a career shift, diving head first into the birth worker world!

I am a fully trained Holistic Birth Mentor. Think of me as the librarian of birth stuff. If you need any guidance or even just a chat please call or message me and I will be so willing to listen to you and help you through whatever it is you need. From finding resources, to making health/birth plans, I will endeavour to point you in the direction that will help you make those all important choices. I would never dream of influencing or making your choices for you, but it sure is nice to have a helping hand navigating the world of a million resources!!

I am currently training to be a registered Hypnotherapist. Because hypnosis undeniably helps in the birth environment, but can help before, after and otherwise. Fertility, conception, pre and postnatal anxieties, stopping smoking for pregnancy or for dads, the birth of your new arrival, even making healthier lifestyle choices, there are no end to the benefits of hypnotherapy. A core skill of the trade is that I make a fantastic listener. So, even if you would just like a friendly conversation with someone who is objective and impartial, I am here for you.

I take my role very seriously to know the material well and impart accurate and useful knowledge to the couples I will teach. I firmly believe the course content makes a hugely positive difference to the birth experience a couple will have, having experienced both a KGH birth and a non-KGH birth, I can vouch for the results. I have a deep passion to help people have a better birth experience than the ones demonstrated to us through movies and anecdotal stories throughout our lives. That doesn’t need to be our reality! Women are made to birth. We need to change the way educate next generations and wipe out the fear culture. You can achieve your best, most beautiful birth.

Why KG Hypnobirthing?

The course content is more than hypnobirthing alone, it is a full antenatal education course, teaching you everything you need to know and all you need to question. Understanding the process of birth as well as the environements in which we give birth will help you gather the information you require from your care providers in any setting, enabling you to make the best choices for you, your baby and your family.

Courses

I offer courses online and face to face by the three following options:-

Group - no more than five or six couples are on each group course, small enough to maintain an intimate atmosphere, without being one to one. 

Buddy - pregnant at the same time as a friend or relative? This is our middle ground option between group and private courses.

Private - private courses for mum and her birth partner.

Group course dates are available on the website, and buddy/private courses are avialable by arrangement.

Group face to face courses are held in Herne Bay, Whitstable and Canterbury.

Buddy/private face to face courses can be held either at your home or at my peaceful garden cabin at my home in Herne Bay.
