I am a Kent-based KGHypnobirthing advocate having used it in my own pregnancy. I live in Medway where I have taught primary education for ten years. I have loved working with children in my career and am excited to now support expectant parents so that they may feel informed and empowered in their pregnancies.
I heard about hypnobirthing early on in my own pregnancy and can honestly say that the Katharine Graves book was my go-to book. I was encouraged from the first few pages that discussed the comfort of ladies in labour, not the pain! I was bouyed by the positive view given and the confidence and self-belief that it promoted. I am a strong advocate for women being listened to and informed at every step of their pregnancy.
I feel strongly that pregnant women can be exposed to a number of unhelpful influences from the moment they announce the fantastic news that they are expecting a baby. Almost instantly they are given often very negative accounts of people's pregnancies and labours. None of which are particularly helpful. Even if they are able to avoid such information they are then confronted with all manner of irresponsible versions of childbirth on TV. KGHypnobirthing addresses any fears around childbirth and it gives women back the power and confidence to enjoy their labour and childbirth their way.
As it was so brilliantly put by a father whose expectant partner had used KGHypnobirthing:
"The thing about hypnobirthing is that it works."
I offer private sessions at your home or can arrange group sessions for 3 or more couples/ mothers and birth partner.
