About Me
My background is in mental health, having worked in an array of different areas, yet specialising in my passion for pre and postnatal mental wellbeing.
I graduated university with a First Class Honours in Counselling & Psychotherapy and went on to study as a Parent & Baby Wellbeing Consultant with classes in
- Pregnancy Relaxation & Baby Confidence
- Baby Massage
- Postnatal Wellbeing
My hypnobirthing journey started with my own personal experience, having utilised it throughout my pregnancies and birth journeys with my children, and welcoming this to my clients is truly exciting.
My personal journey was one of overwhelm and anxiety as I started my journey as a young Mum. My own experience of pre and postnatal anxiety and depression led me to advocate for women to become more educated and informed around their pregnancy journeys and birth choices. I have dedicated my professional development to just that and I am honoured to be part of such a great organisation with KGHypnobirthing who encompasses the birthing experience to be that of women's empowerment and choice.
Why KG Hypnobirthing?
KGHypnobirthing is a complete antenatal training programme which is simple, logical and profound. The results from hospitals, midwives, mothers and fathers speak for themselves and so read our testimonials and birth stories. These are a true testament to how well it works. Hypnobirthing is centred on releasing fear and building confidence in the natural process of birth through practising relaxation techniques and asking questions about your care.
Accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and not only will it give you all the tools and techniques to guide you through pregnancy, labour and birth, we explain the science of how your body works and the powerful connections between the mind and body. We will take you through the maternity system and discuss some obstacles you may face along the way so you feel fully informed and in control.
Presented to you in an easy-to-access and structured format, you will be armed with various exercises, including breathing, visualisation and touch, to help you release any fears you have around birth and know that your body is designed to give birth efficiently and comfortably.
