My name is Edwina and as well as being mum to two gorgeous girls, I’m a KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner; ‘Birthing from Within’ Birth Preparation Mentor; Life Coach and experienced Registered Shiatsu Practitioner, specialising in pregnancy. In a previous life, many moons ago, I was a Chartered Accountant!
As the founder of ‘Birthways’, I’m passionate about helping couples have a positive, empowering birth experience however events may unfold.
My range of qualifications and professional experience allow me to offer you support on many levels (emotionally, mentally and physically) throughout your pregnancy. I will give you the tools to achieve the best birth for you and increase your potential of a calmer, gentler birth.
You’ll learn ways to relax; release any fears and anxieties; build trust and confidence in your body’s ability to birth and feel fully prepared and aware of all your options.
My passion for birth started during a postgraduate course in ‘Shiatsu for Maternity and the Postnatal Period’. This simmering passion ignited after my two amazing home births. Despite some unexpected events along the way, including a hospital visit, throughout my labour I truly felt a deep level of calm and at one with the powerful flow of nature and birth. There’s nothing quite like that magic moment when you realise ‘I did it…We did it!!!’ The recognition that you stepped into the unknown; laboured; did what you instinctively needed to do to get through each moment and were now on the other side with your baby! I strongly feel that my birth preparation significantly contributed to what I can only describe as a life-affirming event.
When I’m not supporting pregnant couples, you may find me at yoga, cycling, playing tennis and being a ‘mummy taxi’ to my 13 and 10 year old daughters... amongst other things!
It’s such a privilege and joy to mentor mothers and their birth partners as they journey towards the birth of their baby and themselves as parents. I love my role as a KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner and Birth Preparation Mentor and look forward to meeting and working with many more families for years to come.
I currently work as a midwife at Kingston Hospital having three years midwifery training at St Thomas' Hospital, where I gained invaluable experience and knowledge caring for a huge array of women and families.
Prior to studying midwifery, I completed a Masters in Child Psychology and a BSc in Educational Studies with Early Childhood Studies. I am proud of my knowledge I have gained over the years and I have always admired the power of the human mind.
I have cared for hypnobirthing mums who have experienced analgesic free births and those who have needed emergency caesareans. Each birth is unique, powerful and emotional. I have seen hypnobirthing work and I believe removing fear and negativity can make the experience of pregnancy, labour and birth a magical one.
I'm Yetunde a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher and a mother of two. I discovered hypnobirthing in my first pregnancy while researching everything about birth. Having always believed that women are naturally designed to birth without drugs or pain I was thrilled to find proven techniques to facilitate this. Using the breathing techniques, visualisations and affirmations I enjoyed both my births and felt empowered by the process.
Knowing that hypnobirthing really works I wanted to share this with other women and their partners.
I have worked with children and families for most of my adult life and have been a hypnotherapist, psychosensory therapist and a master trainer for the past 7 years.
I do a great deal of work training school and children’s facilities staff as well as parents.
The work I do with parents ranges from those trying to become pregnant, being pregnant, giving birth to bringing up their children. It’s my passion and my whole life has been about finding out more about what makes us happy, healthy humans.
My husband and I have 3 daughters and 2 sons between us and we currently have 8 grandchildren.
Hi there, my name is Lisa and I am a KG Hypnobirthing teacher in Epping and East London. My background is in training, development and coaching, which has really supported me in becoming a hypnobirthing trainer.
I first came across hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my daughter, I had felt very anxious about understanding my antenatal care and the birth of my first child. KGH supported me greatly as a comprehensive antenatal course, and I now love being able to supporting expectant parents to have the best birth experience for them.
I cover Epping (and surrounding areas), Theydon Bois, Debden, Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Woodford.
My name is Shirley and I live in Fernhurst in the border of the three counties West Sussex, Surrey & Hampshire. We have three daughters. Two of these were hypnobirths. My third birth was at home and the most amazing experience I have ever had. I realised the importance of understanding the birth process and how to work with your body will enable you to have a positive birth experience.
Birth and children are my world! I also run world music and movement classes for babies and toddlers called Yo Baby.
I run a local Positive Birth Movement Group, a local Home Birth Support group where we lend pools for a donation, I am a Reiki Master and currently training in Indian Head Massage and as a ABM Breastfeeing Counsellor.
I am so passionate about spreading the Hypnobirth word, giving birth is a life changing experience. By practicing Hypnobirthing you are also learning new skills for life that you continue to use after your baby is born.

Providing support and care for women and families during pregnancy and childbirth isn't a job for me, its very much a part of who I am. I had a previous lengthy career working in a bank in Sheffield but gave it up to move to London to pursue my dreams of becoming a midwife.
I have never felt such a sense of pride or motivation for what I do until I found my calling and strive to ensure a woman always feels empowered, informed and in control of her birth. This is what led me to my interest in antenatal education and in particular, KG Hypnobirthing.
I am passionate about what this course provides, having seen first hand I can say undoubtedly that KG Hypnobirthing is a powerful tool that helps expectant parents feel confident, relaxed and informed about the exciting journey into parenthood.
Before training as a Hypnobirthing teacher I spent 10 years working as a fashion buyer, buying kids clothes. I loved my job, meeting lots of interesting people and presenting kids wear collections… But after having my girl, I was totally and completely inspired by the realisation that birth didn’t have to be something to be feared, but truly enjoyed and embraced. It drove me to rethink everything and I made the decision to make it my job to teach that.

Hypnobirthing produces effective, more stress-free childbirth to the mother and baby through the use of hypnosis methods to create relaxation. Our teachers are here to teach and support you, so that you can achieve this relaxation during your birthing for you and your baby.
We have teachers throughout Central London and Greater London, which means that wherever you live in the capital, you should be able to find someone who can support you and teach you hypnobirthing techniques for when you give birth. Each of them has been trained and assessed by us, so you can rest assured that whoever you choose, you will receive the best levels of support possible. If you wish to join a course with Katharine Graves she teaches once a month at St Thomas' Hospital. You can find out more details about her London Hypnobirthing classes here.
Each of our teachers also adheres to our code of practice, embracing ethics and best practice when teaching natural childbirth techniques, to enhance birthing for mothers. We also ask them to promote hypnobirthing and natural childbirth, if they do not do so already, to help make it a more widespread choice for a mother and to become more widely understood, generally.
