Hypnobirthing London - Teachers' Directory
I very much look forward to meeting you and working together to create a positive, natural birth experience for your family
I understand how good support during labour and birth, of both the woman and her partner can make their birth more positive.
I have studies level 3 (access course) and level 4 of the NCT and University of Worcester Birth and Beyond Foundation Degree and have completed the Doula pathway and the Antenatal and Postnatal New baby, new family pathways.
I am a qualified NCT Antenatal practitioner and am currently training to be a Hands on Baby Massage and Baby Yoga instructor.
I have also completed training in Aromatherapy in Childbirth.
Hello, I’m Kathryn Athill, hypnobirthing practitioner, early years teacher and mother to two young boys. I am based in South East London.
I first discovered hypnobirthing when I became pregnant with my second son and soon became obsessed! It all just made sense. I feel so impassioned about hypnobirthing and the benefits it has to a woman both pre and postnatally so much so that I trained as a hypnobirthing teacher with KGHypnobirthing.
Hi, I'm Lucy,
I'm a mum of three with a passion for birth and babies. All three of my babies were KGHypnobirthing births (although different experiences). I think all women should be able to go into their birth with a good understanding of what is happening, what is likely to happen and with techniques at their disposal to ensure they have the most calm and positive experience possible. I am also currently a trainee Breastfeeding Counsellor with the ABM.
In my younger years I studied social anthropology (and archaeology) at Cambridge University, travelled and lived abroad - including in New York City, trained as a massage therapist, and spent many years as a Communications / PR professional. I am a big fan of chocolate, tea, murder mysteries, walking on the beach and Netflix.

I'm based in Hackney, East London and live with my husband and my son (7) and daughter (almost 4). I had been wanting to teach hypnobirthing for years and finally in March 2020 I decided to take the plunge. In April 2020 Hackney Hypnobirthing was born- absolutely all puns intended.
My classes are straightforward, supportive and fun.
As they're are currently exclusively via Zoom they come from home to yours, wherever that may be... and the best bit? No need to travel anywhere - dial in from bed and wear your pyjamas if you like... Lots of my clients do!
Hypnobirthing produces effective, more stress-free childbirth to the mother and baby through the use of hypnosis methods to create relaxation. Our teachers are here to teach and support you, so that you can achieve this relaxation during your birthing for you and your baby.
We have teachers throughout Central London and Greater London, which means that wherever you live in the capital, you should be able to find someone who can support you and teach you hypnobirthing techniques for when you give birth. Each of them has been trained and assessed by us, so you can rest assured that whoever you choose, you will receive the best levels of support possible. If you wish to join a course with Katharine Graves she teaches once a month at St Thomas' Hospital. You can find out more details about her London Hypnobirthing classes here.
Our Core Principles
Each of our teachers also adheres to our code of practice, embracing ethics and best practice when teaching natural childbirth techniques, to enhance birthing for mothers. We also ask them to promote hypnobirthing and natural childbirth, if they do not do so already, to help make it a more widespread choice for a mother and to become more widely understood, generally.
