Hypnobirthing East - Teachers' Directory
I am a newly qualified KG Hypnbirthing practitioner. Having completed a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, I discovered the powerful impact of Hypnobirthing and just knew it would be something I would love to practise. I then completed by teaching course and have loved expanding my knowledge, supporting couples and bringing my knowledge of Hypnotherapy into the pre-natal world.
I am a Qualified State Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirthing Teacher registered with the NMC, RCN and Hypnobirthing Association. I have over 30 years’ experience working within the NHS and private sector and I am committed to teaching expectant parents the wonders of the KG Hypnobirthing technique. As a midwife I will be able to explain some of the obstetric terminology that can confuse parents; My hypnobirthing classes will prepare parents emotionally, psychologically and physically in the antenatal period for their new baby and will empower them to question routine treatments and methods used in current obstetric practices.I am also a mother of three and only wish I had had the knowledge, skills and confidence to have been a hypnobirthing mum so I could have enjoyed the natural process of childbirth. Please read my website for information on course dates or call me to discuss (as dates do change and I am very flexible and can offer weekend visits). I look forward to introducing you to the wonders of Hypnobirthing so you can achieve a more relaxed, gentle and comfortable birth.
“Hypnobirthing is the most wonderful empowering experience that parents can bestow upon their unborn baby, bringing them into the world gently, calmly and naturally". I run group or individual sessions which are broken down into practical and theory , there is plenty of laughter and I am very approachable and friendly and have many "Hypnobabies in London and Bedfordshire area". I believe in evidence based practice and I continually strive for excellence and attend KG Hypnobirthing refresher courses and link with local antenatal services including the NHS and NCT, giving talks and attending active birth workshops. If parents remain skeptical please try a taster hour session which answers many of your Hypnobirthing question's and parents can experience a relaxation session !
I offer a full range of services: from KGHypnobirthing classes, to normal birth preparation classes, aromatherapy for childbirth, mizan therapy massage, doula services, postnatal help as well as breastfeeding support.
I am a KGHypnobirthing teacher and yoga instructor specialising in pregnancy and postnatal care in addition to Restorative Yoga, which focuses on training the body to relax and find calm. I have worked with hundreds of mums during their pregnancy and beyond. I completed the KGH training because I felt it was a natural progression for my experience with pregnant women.
I offer small group and private course options, currently all online until lockdown eases further. One positive aspect of being in lockdown is that you don't need to travel further than your living room!
I cover all London areas, including the following:
Isle of Dogs
I live in East London with my husband, Emerson, and our two children, Hudson and Harper. Both of my children were born here using Hypnobirthing, which gave me a lot of comfort and confidence throughout my pregnancies and births. In a time of uncertainty, I appreciated the boost KGHypnobirthing gave to me, not only in confidence, but in excitement. Instead of fearing birth, I began to look forward to it, and shouldn't we all? It is such a special time, after all. In addition to teaching Hypnobirthing, I've been teaching yoga since 2011 and have a degree in human biology. I'm lucky that my work consists of teaching things that I have felt the true benefits of, and my passion for what I teach drives me to keep learning and refining what I share with others.
I began my training as a doula with Nurturing Birth Doulas in June 2019 following the birth of my daughter in 2018. Her birth came after several years of infertility, IVF and pregnancy loss.
Once I was ready to believe that I finally was going to have a baby, I put everything into finding out all that I could about pregnancy and birth. I undertook Active Birth and Hypnobirthing courses and practiced the techniques. I was determined to not let the birth of my child be defined by the medical intervention that defined her conception. As IVF pregnancies are often categorised as ‘high risk’, this was not straightforward. However, I did end up having an extremely positive birth experience, one that I believe may not have been possible if I hadn’t prepared in the way that I did and hypnobirthing was a key aspect of this.
After the birth, I immediately knew that I was not ready to leave that world behind and wanted to support others going through pregnancy, birth and new parenthood. I decided to train as adoula and immediately knew that I wanted to be able to provide KGHypnobirthing to my clients, this having made such a significant impact on my own birth experience.
I'm based in Hackney, East London and live with my husband and my son (7) and daughter (almost 4). I had been wanting to teach hypnobirthing for years and finally in March 2020 I decided to take the plunge. In April 2020 Hackney Hypnobirthing was born- absolutely all puns intended.
My classes are straightforward, supportive and fun.
As they're are currently exclusively via Zoom they come from home to yours, wherever that may be... and the best bit? No need to travel anywhere - dial in from bed and wear your pyjamas if you like... Lots of my clients do!
I've always looked for the most natural approaches to life, from food to any kind of treatments and products. As an Osteopath and Holistic Therapist, I could repeatedlyverified the great power of the body, mind and nature and how they perfectly work together when in harmony. During my pregnancy, my maternal instinct also guided me to look for the most natural approach to pregnancy, labour and my baby's birth. I've always believed in the miracle of life and how special is pregnancy from conception to birth. As the woman body is absolutely capable of growing a baby, it is equally capable to give birth because it is designed to do it.
I found out that Hypnobirthing could confirm my theories, I started to read books about it and then my partner and I have decided to attend a Hypnobirthing antenatal course. I believe that Hypnobithing chose me, my natural way of feeling and living life put me on this wonderful path where I found the best approach to the greatest experience in a woman's life. I loved any moment of the course, from the classes to the daily practices. I increasingly felt more confident about me, my pregnancy and the birth of my baby and I was sure that everything was going to be ok, that I would have the best birth for me and my baby. It was indeed the best empowering experience ever, it was swift and easy, a magical event for my baby, my partner and I.
Even before giving birth to my baby, I had decided that I wanted to transmit this knowledge to any woman who wanted the best natural labour and birth. I've trained directly with Kathatrine Graves, the founder of KGHypnobirthing, which was a great honour for me and a wonderful opportunity to deepen the Hypnobirthing concepts and anything else related to pregnancy and birth. My previous knowledge about the body, my specialisation as Osteopath in treating pregnant women and newborns, my holistic and natural approach to health, my training as a KGHypnobirthing teacher are essential tools in guiding mothers and couples in achieving the best care and the best labour and birth possible.
I am an experienced Pregnancy Yoga Teacher who following my passion and desire of helping women to achieve a calm and empowering birth, I decided to extend my knowledge by becoming a KGHypnobirthing Antenatal Educator.
I offer couples an extensive private Hypnobirthing antenatal course. This will be a special time to reinforce the knowledge about your body, pregnancy and birth, achieving confidence, calm and serenity. Creating a healthy pregnancy and subsequently a wonderful birth experience for you and your baby.
I’m originally from Mexico where pregnancy and the transition into Motherhood is really supported by families and the community. Since I was a little girl, I found myself being part of this support and with time I realised that here it was the place where the seed of my passion for pregnancy and birth was placed, to eventually germinate and growth.
I have been living in London for the last 19 years, where my yoga practice and personal development started. I’ve been able to help hundreds of women through my yoga classes and HB courses to achieve a calm and positive pregnancy and also to have an empowering birth. Please read some of my testimonies and if my energy resonates with you and feel the call to reach out…I will be looking forward to hear from you and your baby.
