About Me

I am Mama to three boys with a background in psychology. I am passionate about birth and empowering women having had two wonderful hypnobirths myself (after a less than ideal hospital birth first time round). I am in awe of what women's bodies are capable of and believe strongly that if women and their birth partners are fully informed and equipped with the right tools, then they will have an empowering and positive birth experience wherever and however they choose to birth their baby. Nothing is more rewarding for me than helping women and their birth partners prepare for this key moment in their life.

Why KG Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is little to do with hypnosis or hippies, contrary to what it sounds like! Hypnobirthing is scientifically grounded and logical. Firstly you will learn about the physiology and psychology of birth and come to understand how the muscles and hormones work during labour. Secondly you will learn different techniques to ensure you remain calm and relaxed throughout labour enabling your body to work comfortably and efficiently. Hypnobirthing also gives the birth partner a real and important role and brings couples closer together as they practice what they have learnt in the lead up to the birth of their baby. It is truly a magical time and Hypnobirthing will help you release any fears you have surrounding birth allowing you to look forward to the birth of your baby with excitement, as is it will be an amazing and empowering experience.

Courses

Group classes run monthly over the course of a weekend from my home in Newton Abbot, Devon. Please contact me if you'd like to join a class. Private classes are also available and can take place in the comfort of your own home. Please contact me for further details.
