Hi, I’m Rachel, founder of Barefoot Birthing. I hope you're feeling well during your pregancy.

I first discovered hypnobirthing whilst pregnant with my daughter. After her fantastic birth I had a light bulb moment - hypnobirthing and proper birth preparation is a BIG deal. After my son's homebirth, I was hooked on all things birthing, and there was no question that I wanted to share this incredibly logical, profound, and life-changing concept with other mums-to-be.

The impact of a positive birth experience for mum and baby should never be underestimated. A healthy baby is not all that matters, mothers matter too.

Hello, I'm Sam and I am a mum of one beautiful little boy and have our second on the way. After having a less than straightforward birth with my first I realised that it was my hypnobirthing practice that got me through in such high spirits. Without hypnobirthing I wouldn't have had the knowledge or confidence to stay calm and positive. It was during my maternity leave that I trained as a KGH teacher so that I could share this incredible knowledge with all of my fellow parents to be.

The human body is such a wonderful and powerful thing and there is sadly such a huge lack of knowledge about what actually happens during pregnancy and birth. It has become my mission to empower parents with this information and give them the confidence to advocate for themselves and their birth.

I cover all of London including the following areas :

  • Catford
  • Hither Green
  • Lewisham
  • Brockley
  • Forest Hill
  • Dulwich
  • Peckham
  • Bromley
  • Beckenham
  • Greenwich
  • Blackheath

MAMACAN Hypnobirthing is a practical common sense approach to birth.

Back in 2015, a pregnant lawyer in search of an informed, calmer birth experience, I came across Hypnobirthing during some late-night internet searching. Intrigued by the refreshingly positive and practical outlook on birth, I signed up to a course (and then spent the evening convincing my husband I hadn't gone mad and become a hippy).
The scientific foundations that Hypnobirthing is built on, silenced the sceptic within and I was instantly a convert. My pregnancy was positive and enjoyable as I practised the relaxation and breathing techniques with my partner - I was even looking forward to my birth! My labour was short and the majority of time was spent in the bath at home. After the birth of my son, looking for a change of pace and wanting to spread the word of Hypnobirthing, MAMACAN Hypnobirthing was born.
My daughter was born a year and a half later at home in the birthing pool and it couldn’t have been a more positive experience. Being at home and so relaxed in my home environment, hypnobirthing, educating myself about birth and surrounding myself with positive birth – groups, people, and stories. And of course my wonderful husband and midwives!

I am a KG Hypnobirthing trained practitioner. I believe passionately about changing the way society views birth, and helping women understand their innate ability to give birth and ultimately achieve the best possible outcome for them and their baby.

I'm Vee, hypnobirthing teacher and mum to an amazing hypno baby girl. I first discovered hypnobirthing when I was four months pregnant. I was very apprehensive about giving birth. Since young age, I have always heard horror birth stories which made me panic with just the thought of pregnancy. I was very determined to find another way to bring my baby into the world, so I started searching the internet and I came across the magic word of 'hypnobirthing'. Hypnobirthing intrigued me and without a second thought I booked a course.

I longed for was a natural waterbirth in a birth-pool. When the time arrived things didn’t go according to plan, my waters broke early but I didn't go into labour. 48 hours later there was still no sign of surges and I was advised that an induction was necessary due to risk of infection. The waterbirth became a distant dream.

While I was waiting for baby to arrive, I managed to practice all the techniques I had learnt to build confidence, get the 'love' hormone flowing and keep myself calm and relaxed. I was talking to my bump, asking baby to arrive naturally, and thankfully she did.

Despite things not going as I hoped, I still had such an empowering wonderful birth experience. My lovely midwife, Rebecca, was supportive of hypnobirthing and all of the skills I had practised out me in the best frame of mind to help baby into the world. I was relaxed, focussed and went on to give birth in two and a half hours, with gas and air for relief during transition phase. I felt completely calm and in control and it was such a powerful and emotionally intense experience. My partner was incredible and I wouldn’t have done it without him. The midwife said it was the most beautiful birth she ever assisted - "You were born to give birth."

The birth of my baby and hypnobirthing inspired me to take on this journey to becoming a hypnobirthing teacher. I now want to share all these fantastic skills, inform and prepare mums-to-be and their birth partners for this magical moment in their lives.

I am the mother of two children and I have been a childbirth educator since 1995, having trained with the NCT.

I have prepared thousands of couples for labour, birth and early parenting in Battersea, Clapham, Twickenham and the surrounding areas.

On a personal note, I benefitted enormously from Hypnobirthing while preparing for the arrival of my second child. The birth was fast and completely natural; it was a joyous experience, to be cherished forever.

I hold a Diploma in Antenatal Education, a Diploma in Hypnobirthing and I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association. I thoroughly enjoy putting Katharine's training into practice.

Sacha has a broad range of experience. Having initially gained a degree in psychology, she then trained as a registered nurse and has over a decade of experience in the NHS, building connections and delivering education to members of the public.

Whilst still passionate about helping people, in recent years Sacha has shifted to a more holistic way of achieving this, through yoga, meditation, life-coaching and hypnobirthing. She is trained in pregnancy yoga, yoga for birth preparation and KG Hypnobirthing, and has a true passion for empowering women to have the birth experience that they want.

Coming from a healthcare background means that it is important to Sacha that she can always back up her teachings with evidence and/or logic, and that she can always find a way of communicating effectively with the person in front of her.

I first discovered yoga through a book in my parents home when I was about 10 years old. Oh how easy it was to go straight into lotus pose at that age! My practice since then has by no means been constant, but yoga, breathing and movement have always been a persevering presence and interest in my life. In the past 4/5 years I have been consolidating my knowledge and looked into digging deeper in the undeniably powerful effects and benefits of being able to connect with your breathing, as well as understanding more how your body works and how you can help shape not only your muscles but also you mind and thoughts. That is why I have combined courses that helped educate me from different perspectives, and I would like to help you achieve your personal goals, whether just getting fitter, less stressed, more active or to guide you through your pregnancy or even help you kick a bad habit. All through some guided techniques, exercises and routines that suit your lifestyle and goals.

Hi! I am Manu, a scientist, mum of a wonderful little boy, and an accredited KGH hypnobirthiong teacher.

When I first heard about hypnobirthing I was sceptical. As a scientist, I need things to be logical and evidence-based. So I did my own research and found that despite what people might think, hypnobirthing is based on science, evidence and logic!

Thanks to hypnobirthing, the birth of my son was the most wonderful and powerful experience, there was no drama and no trauma, which was a huge surprise to me and my husband given what we are all programmed to think about birth from media depictions and birth stories.

I enjoyed giving birth to my son so much, that I wanted to give other mothers the opportunity to have a calm, relaxed, confident and powerful birth.

Ciao!

I am a mother and events manager as well a trained KGHypnobirthing teacher. I believe firmly in the power of Hypnobirthing for all women and all types of birth whether it is a planned c-section or a water birth at home. I don't see hypnobirthing as a 'hippy dippy' technique only to be used it you want a 'natural birth' it is so much more than that. Hypnobirthing is the antenatal education all women and men deserve and should have. It explains labour, our bodies and hormones and what actually happens during the process of birth. It equips you with the latest statistics and research, allowing you to forget any assumptions and make your own decisions based on facts. It provides the most incredible bonding opportunity for the mother and birth partner, a rare chance to sit down, relax and together connect with your growing baby. And most importantly, it gets you excited and prepared, removing the negativity that constantly surrounds birth so that we can all get excited for the day you bring your baby into the world. All those things I believe are so invaluable to having a positive birth that is your own. I am friendly, compassionate and approachable and if you would like to, I would love to work with you.

My interest in hypnobirthing began while caring for someone on the labour ward in the hospital where I work as a midwife.

Although their birth preferences had changed due to a complication and the labour ward hadn't been their ideal choice of place to birth, they continued to use these incredible techniques for calm and focus throughout labour. Many of the team didn't believe they were in labour due to the controlled nature of how they handled their journey. I was continuously impressed and in awe of the power this person had over their body in a moment where many feel out of control. They were well informed and advocated their choices confidently. I thought it was amazing!

My teacher training has only improved this perception of hypnobirthing, nurturing my desire to help birthing people through their pregnancy experiences by giving evidence based information and techniques for an optimal birth for them. Whether that is a planned surgical birth or a physiological vaginal birth or anything in between, hypnobirthing can be valuable to everyone with the information and connection of the mind to the body that the courses provide.

When I fell pregnant with my son back in 2017 I was terrified and questioned whether I could actually give birth. I booked onto a hypnobirthing course and it was honestly the best thing my husband and I did. By the end of it, I felt so prepared and excited to give birth. I went on to have an empowered experience and was so proud of myself. Thanks to my son, I've found something I'm incredibly passionate about and I can't wait to teach as may women as possible.

Hello, I'm Silvana, a mum of two and a KGHypnobirthing teacher, as well as a qualified Hypnotherapist (I have an interest in the connection between mind and body) . My background is in Counselling and Therapeutic Play, and I worked for over 12 years supporting school children and their families in my local community in SW London, so providing emotional support and encouraging people to feel empowered, positive and confident feels really natural to me.

The course I did to become a KGHypnobirthing teacher was fantastic and a revelation into how to apply these skills at another crucial stage of life and development, in the context of labour and birth. Your wellbeing is my priority and I would feel privileged to accompany you for a while on your amazing journey.
