Hypnobirthing South - Teachers' Directory
Hello, I’m Marie Linton at Essence Hypnobirthing. I'm trained in two methods of hypnobirthing, The Mongan Method and KG Hypnobirthing. I'm a Midwife (retired) with over 25 years experience and a Hypnotherapist. I'm also trained in the art of Swedish Massage ( I.T.E.C.)
I live in Kingston Upon Thames and cover South West London and all areas in Surrey.
I'm currently teaching a private tailor-made Hypnobirthing course in the comfort of your own home. Perfect for busy couples who prefer flexible sessions and privacy.
I've had positive natural births with both of my own babies. They’re strapping teenagers now living very full lives which allows time for me to share the amazing benefits of KG Hypnobirthing .
During my midwifery career I've supported many women choosing to hypnobirth in a variety of settings, obstetric unit, the birthing unit, and at home including water births. It’s such a privilege to be present and support couples during this transformative time. I've had a long career as a midwife working in both the public and private healthcare sectors. Having this 'inside knowledge' I'm able to help you navigate these healthcare systems, which ensures you achieve the best possible birth for you and your baby.
While living in Sweden I was introduced to the practise of meditation and started to feel the benifits of quietening my mind. My general health and outlook on life improved dramatically. With this focus on the power of the mind and body connection and my love of supporting women I trained as a Hypnobirthing teacher in 2011. I went on to teach couples while living in Sweden and Dubai, I've taken these skills around the world with me making a difference to couples whatever their circumstances. Fascinated by the 'hypnosis' part of hypnobirthing I went on to training as a hypnotherapist with world reknown hypnotherapist and Author Beryl Comar.
As you've probably guessed, I’m quite obsessed about all things related to birth. Over the years I've attended heaps of birth related courses run by global birth educators, resulting in a big bag of birthing skills and info which I’ll share with you during the course: Spinning Babies, gentle massage techniques, mindful breathing, birthing positions and Rebozo to name a few. All of the birth information I share is based on up to date evidenced based research
I offer a highly personalised, bespoke hypnobirthing course. If this is something you’re considering, please get in touch and arrange a free, no obligation, taster session
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hypnobirthing & Pregnancy yoga classes in LONDON WATERLOO
I'm Yetunde a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher and a mother of two. I discovered hypnobirthing in my first pregnancy while researching everything about birth. Having always believed that women are naturally designed to birth without drugs or pain I was thrilled to find proven techniques to facilitate this. Using the breathing techniques, visualisations and affirmations I enjoyed both my births and felt empowered by the process.
Knowing that hypnobirthing really works I wanted to share this with other women and their partners.
The birth of my baby and hypnobirthing inspired me to take on this journey to becoming a hypnobirthing teacher. I now want to share all these fantastic skills, inform and prepare mums-to-be and their birth partners for this magical moment in their lives.
I am based in Sutton, South London, Surrey and surrounding areas such as
* Worcester Park
I came to Hypnobirthing like many Hypnobirthing teachers, through being pregnant, using it to birth and absolutely LOVING IT!
Hypnobirthing was first mentioned to me during my first pregnancy, where I had read everything about birth (I was totally prepared for any ante-natal quiz) and took a weekly pregnancy yoga class, all in preparation for the unknown event of birth which I was secretly terrified of. My best friend who was also expecting her first child was telling me about Hypnobirthing and I thought it sounded very much like what I was doing already, getting clued up on ante-natal knowledge and relaxing, so I decided not to pursue it further.
During my labour I knew there was a better way for me, my body and baby to birth but I didn't have the tools.
When I came to my second pregnancy, I knew I was willing to invest in myself and my birth experience as they were invaluable to my wellbeing and that of my family.
I decided to look into Hypnobirthing for myself, my baby and also my husband who wanted to be a part of the experience.
I loved the whole experience throughout pregnancy and during labour, the connection I had to my body and the process was empowering.
The sense of teamwork it gave my husband, me and our son along the journey was so important in preparing us all for the transitions and transformations that were happening. We all enjoyed the birth experience and started family life calmly, positively and empowered.
Having had that experience I knew that better birth experiences were out there and every mother and family deserved to have them. I also knew Hypnobirthing was a great tool in enabling them.
As a teacher I work positively and realistically; supporting you in discovering the birth choices that are uniquely right for you and enabling your unique positive birth. As a Birth Trauma Resolution Practitioner I am also skilled in supporting those planning a healing birth or looking to overcome previous trauma as they prepare.
I am always honoured and privileged to work with people at this stage in their lives and each birth deepends my respect and fascination of birth and how to support it for families.
