My name is Shirley and I live in Fernhurst in the border of the three counties West Sussex, Surrey & Hampshire. We have three daughters. Two of these were hypnobirths. My third birth was at home and the most amazing experience I have ever had. I realised the importance of understanding the birth process and how to work with your body will enable you to have a positive birth experience.

Birth and children are my world! I also run world music and movement classes for babies and toddlers called Yo Baby.

I run a local Positive Birth Movement Group, a local Home Birth Support group where we lend pools for a donation, I am a Reiki Master and currently training in Indian Head Massage and as a ABM Breastfeeing Counsellor.

I am so passionate about spreading the Hypnobirth word, giving birth is a life changing experience. By practicing Hypnobirthing you are also learning new skills for life that you continue to use after your baby is born.

I am currently running courses in SE London (SE15) and am about to start new classes in Harlow, Essex. I first heard about Hypnobirthing when I was only 12 weeks pregnant with my first son, Soren, from two dads who were very enthusiastic. I immediately started researching Hypnobirthing and went home and told my husband about it. I couldn’t wait to learn more about this amazing technique which would enable me to stay calm and birth our baby without fear.

My husband was less convinced but said he would come along and support me. We signed up to a local class and we learnt how the body responds to stress and anxiety in labour and found out about the physiology of birth. This  was a real ‘wow’ moment for both of us. Using the hypnotherapy scripts, I was able to train myself to trust my body and my baby and believe that a calm and relaxed birth was possible. I was even looking forward to giving birth and couldn’t wait to put all our hard work into practice. I managed to steer away from negative stories and created a bubble around myself so we could prepare for the births our way. I went from ‘give me all the drugs’ to a natural birth within the space of a few weeks.

MAMACAN Hypnobirthing is a practical common sense approach to birth.

Back in 2015, a pregnant lawyer in search of an informed, calmer birth experience, I came across Hypnobirthing during some late-night internet searching. Intrigued by the refreshingly positive and practical outlook on birth, I signed up to a course (and then spent the evening convincing my husband I hadn't gone mad and become a hippy).

The scientific foundations that Hypnobirthing is built on, silenced the sceptic within and I was instantly a convert. My pregnancy was positive and enjoyable as I practised the relaxation and breathing techniques with my partner - I was even looking forward to my birth! My labour was short and the majority of time was spent in the bath at home. After the birth of my son, looking for a change of pace and wanting to spread the word of Hypnobirthing, MAMACAN Hypnobirthing was born.

My daughter was born a year and a half later at home in the birthing pool and it couldn’t have been a more positive experience. Being at home and so relaxed in my home environment, hypnobirthing, educating myself about birth and surrounding myself with positive birth – groups, people, and stories. And of course my wonderful husband and midwives!

I am a KG Hypnobirthing trained practitioner. I believe passionately about changing the way society views birth, and helping women understand their innate ability to give birth and ultimately achieve the best possible outcome for them and their baby.

I am Gina Potts, founder of ZenBirth, a leading provider of KG Hypnobirthing in Kent and South East London. I am a hypnobirthing mother of two beautiful hypnobabies, and I have been teaching hypnobirthing since April 2011.

I first found out about hypnobirthing from a friend late in my first pregnancy. I read the book, and I knew immediately that hypnobirthing was for me. I passed the book along to my husband and he was also enthusiastic about the hypnobirthing approach. We took semi-private classes and when on to have a beautiful 'zen' birth experience with our son. You can read all about it on my website (www.zenbirth.co.uk).

I am passionate about hypnobirthing and supporting couples to have positive birth experiences. I hold a Diploma in KG Hypnobirthing (accredited by the Royal College of Midwives) and a Certificate in HypnoBirthing (Mongan Method). Additionally, I am an NCT-trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. And I regularly undertake on-going study and continuing professional development. I am a member of the KG Hypnobirthing Steering Group, an active member of the Hypnobirthing Association (UK), and have also been member of the HypnoBirthing Institute (USA).

I'm Vee, hypnobirthing teacher and mum to an amazing hypno baby girl. I first discovered hypnobirthing when I was four months pregnant. I was very apprehensive about giving birth. Since young age, I have always heard horror birth stories which made me panic with just the thought of pregnancy. I was very determined to find another way to bring my baby into the world, so I started searching the internet and I came across the magic word of 'hypnobirthing'. Hypnobirthing intrigued me and without a second thought I booked a course.

I longed for was a natural waterbirth in a birth-pool. When the time arrived things didn’t go according to plan, my waters broke early but I didn't go into labour. 48 hours later there was still no sign of surges and I was advised that an induction was necessary due to risk of infection. The waterbirth became a distant dream.

While I was waiting for baby to arrive, I managed to practice all the techniques I had learnt to build confidence, get the 'love' hormone flowing and keep myself calm and relaxed. I was talking to my bump, asking baby to arrive naturally, and thankfully she did.

Despite things not going as I hoped, I still had such an empowering wonderful birth experience. My lovely midwife, Rebecca, was supportive of hypnobirthing and all of the skills I had practised out me in the best frame of mind to help baby into the world. I was relaxed, focussed and went on to give birth in two and a half hours, with gas and air for relief during transition phase. I felt completely calm and in control and it was such a powerful and emotionally intense experience. My partner was incredible and I wouldn’t have done it without him. The midwife said it was the most beautiful birth she ever assisted - "You were born to give birth."

The birth of my baby and hypnobirthing inspired me to take on this journey to becoming a hypnobirthing teacher. I now want to share all these fantastic skills, inform and prepare mums-to-be and their birth partners for this magical moment in their lives.

I live in Peckham with my husband James, son Joseph (5 years old) and daughter Iris (2 years old).

I am committed to doing everything I can to help you experience the empowerment of a gentle and natural birth with Hypnobirthing.

Hypnobirthing is logical, simple, practical… a very effective and complete antenatal education. I will teach you invaluable hypnobirthing techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment; very informative with lots of laughter too!

I am also an advanced Neurolinguistic Programming therapist (NLP). This is essentially a form of life coaching which uses tools to unlock unhelpful behaviours, thought patterns or habits, replacing them with more positive and helpful ones!

NLP gives me the expertise to provide not only the core Hypnobirthing techniques but also to offer tailor made tools and exercises to help parents–to–be get the most from my course. For example, if a mum-to-be says she simply don't know if she's physically or mentally able to have the birth she wants I have exercises to help her believe in herself.

I offer ongoing support after the course has finished and am on hand to help you and your partner get the most from your practice.

I'm Yetunde a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher and a mother of two. I discovered hypnobirthing in my first pregnancy while researching everything about birth. Having always believed that women are naturally designed to birth without drugs or pain I was thrilled to find proven techniques to facilitate this. Using the breathing techniques, visualisations and affirmations I enjoyed both my births and felt empowered by the process.

Knowing that hypnobirthing really works I wanted to share this with other women and their partners.

I have prepared thousands of couples for labour, birth and early parenting in Battersea, Clapham, Twickenham and the surrounding areas.

On a personal note, I benefitted enormously from Hypnobirthing while preparing for the arrival of my second child. The birth was fast and completely natural; it was a joyous experience, to be cherished forever.

I hold a Diploma in Antenatal Education, a Diploma in Hypnobirthing and I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association. I thoroughly enjoy putting Katharine's training into practice.

I have been teaching Yoga since 2006 and I have always been interested in the effect the mind has on the body and vice versa. My approach to yoga and life in general is through mindfulness and open-mindedness.

As a fully qualified pre and postnatal Yoga teacher I have worked with pregnant women for many years and have supported them throughout their pregnancy and in preparation for birth and beyond.

I teach Yoga birth preparation weekends for couples as I believe birth partners play a very important role; their re-assuring presence, love and support can make all the difference to a labouring mother’s birth experience.

With HypnoBirthing I have positively expanded what I can offer expecting couples in preparation for birth. I truly believe in the power that lies within each couple and individual to experience a calm and gentle birth, in whichever way their baby is born into this world.  HypnoBirthing actively supports parents so that they feel calm and at ease throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond and many of the tools and techniques that they learn will become life-skills.

In addition, I train other yoga teachers to become qualified pre-and post-natal Yoga teachers and lecture on YogaLondon’s Pre- and Post-natal Yoga teacher training programme; a training programme I designed with Anja Brierley-Lange of YogaEmbodied.
