Hypnobirthing West - Teachers' Directory
Hello, I'm Silvana, a mum of two and a KGHypnobirthing teacher, as well as a Student Hypnotherapist (I have a growing interest in the connection between mind and body) . My background is in Counselling and Therapeutic Play, and I worked for over 12 years supporting school children and their families in my local community in SW London, so providing emotional support and encouraging people to feel empowered, positive and confident feels really natural to me.
The course I did to become a KGHypnobirthing teacher was fantastic and a revelation into how to apply these skills at another crucial stage of life and development, in the context of labour and birth. Your wellbeing is my priority and I would feel privileged to accompany you for a while on your amazing journey.
A mum to a lovely little girl-eager to spread the word on Hypnobirthing.
I have worked with children and families for most of my adult life and have been a hypnotherapist, psychosensory therapist and a master trainer for the past 7 years.
I do a great deal of work training school and children’s facilities staff as well as parents.
The work I do with parents ranges from those trying to become pregnant, being pregnant, giving birth to bringing up their children. It’s my passion and my whole life has been about finding out more about what makes us happy, healthy humans.
My husband and I have 3 daughters and 2 sons between us and we currently have 8 grandchildren.
Hi, I am Karen.
I come from Scotland where I began practicing as a midwife 33 year ago. I am passionate about preparing women for a positive birth experience and supporting them through the post-natal period. For this reason, I teach hypnobirthing and also offer a range of complementary therapies.

I am a mother, a primary school teacher and a passionate believer in the power of Hypnobirthing. I don't see Hypnobirthing as some sort of strange birth tool, rather a complete antenatal education that goes far beyond what you might expect. We live in a world where birth is presented in a negative way. It does not have to be like this and if you can give yourself some time to prepare and relax in the lead up to birth, and understand the amazing systems at play, you will have a much more empowering experience. I am a compassionate, empathetic, and approachable person and I simmply want to help families have wonderful birth experiences! That is why I trained to teach and if you let me, I would love to help you.
Robyn Spens is a leading therapist, who makes a difference in people’s lives. She is an empathic communicator and understands how the power of the brain and the words we tell ourselves have an immense impact on our behaviour and our bodies. The sole aim of the work I do is to help couples achieve and maintain the best possible mindset.
Hello, I am Diana! I was almost born in Tokyo. Yet my father, who spoke fluent Japanese and could have supported my mother during her delivery as both a birthing partner, and a translator, simply refused to be in the delivery room. He was absolutely terrified of the idea of witnessing birth.
Sadly, to this day, so many parents are apprehensive and anxious about the birth of their little baby. Working as a baby photographer for several years now, I have met so many wonderful parents-to-be, who are ecstatic about meeting their little baby, but oh so nervous about the birth.
As someone who has been privileged to meet many mummies-to-be for their maternity shoots, and then shortly after that for their newborn shoots, I have been fortunate to hear so many birth stories and experiences. Each unique and significant to the expecting family. Yet one approach to birth that seemed to be incredibly profound was Hypnobirthing.
Hearing so many positive stories sparked my desire to acquire all the knowledge necessary to support and prepare women for one of the most significant days in their lives - the day they meet their little baby!
Having trained with Katherine Graves, I am a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher, who is determined to introduce as many expecting families as possible to the benefits of Hypnobirthing in a modern, relaxed and tailored approach.
I would be delighted to support you and your birthing partner in overcoming any fear or preconceptions about birth, as well as teaching you the tools and techniques to enable you to birth your baby confidently in the way that works best for you!
I have always approach life in an optimistic manner, learning from every single experience and continuous re-inventing myself.
My background is very eclectic. Engineer by training (big science background) with an MBA but deeply caring about people, I have developed some strong healing abilities. Biology and medicine have always been a passion of mine. Reason why I did start my holistic practice aside my international corporate career. I am now working 100% on my wellness practice.
Aside from my personal healing abilities which developed naturally, I am an official KGHypnobirthing and mindfulness teacher, Sophrology therapist (aggregate deep relaxation practices with visualization. you can read more on my website about this practice), Reiki and energy teacher.
Sophrology and Healing can support pregnancy in complement to hypnobirthing in a lot of different ways :
* helping with pregnancy symptoms to improve the quality of daily life
* work at a deeper level on stress and anxiety reduction
* heal past trauma (sexual or prior traumatic birth)
* postpartum depression
Do reach out if you are curious and/or have questions, I would be more than happy to have a chat.
