Hypnobirthing Surrey - Teachers' Directory
I am a mother to two little girls, Jorja and Jazmine. I have always wanted to be a mum, so to find out I was pregnant after our honeymoon was a blessing. At 5 months pregnant, a mum I met shared her birth story with me which left me in dread at the thought of giving birth. Luckily for me, another mum I met told me about hypnobirthing and was adamant that I try it. I thought what have I to lose, and I started to do some research into what was hypnobirthing. I read a lot about it and I loved it so much it became my bible throughout my pregnancy. My husband and I attended a hypnobirthing course as I felt it was important that he was also prepared for the big day. Like any man, he was doubtful and did it only because it was important to me.
The testimonials I read, I truly believed they were made up and there was no way a birth like those were possible. It was only after the birth of Jorja that I suddenly realised that all these stories were actually true and a birth experience that made you feel like super woman was actually possible. I had a water birth with Jorja, not because it was part of my birth plan but because the midwife I met just before her shift finished suggested that I try it. It was the most amazing experience and I will treasure it forever.
Being pregnant for the second time, I worried about how it would go and wondered if everything would work out as well as the first. I gave birth to Jazmine on my birthday and in the same pool as Jorja was born in. To have another water birth with no drugs or intervention is a testament to the power of the body, mind and hypnobirthing.
Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher but ended up working in finance. After two positive birth experiences, I've decided I want to help other women prepare themselves for one of the best experiences of their lives, take away any fear or doubt that they may have and give them the tools to enjoy the wonderful gift that is giving birth.
I am a certified Katharine Graves hypnobirthing practitioner, a qualification which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I am a professional member of the Hypnobirthing Association. My aim is to work with each couple to help them achieve whatever birth plan that is right for them. This includes the use of pain relief and where and how you choose to give birth.

Hi! I'm Nat, a mum of one and a bump, a yogi and hypnobirthing teacher! I discovered hypnobirthing when I was preparing for the birth of my own daughter; now 8! And was blown away by now amazing it was. Once my daughter was old enough, I knew that I had to train to share the amazing skills that I learnt; every family deserves a hypnobirth. I love working with parents, sharing this knowledge and helping on this wonderful stage in their journey.
Hi, I’m Rachel, founder of Barefoot Birthing. I hope you're feeling well during your pregancy.
I first discovered hypnobirthing whilst pregnant with my daughter. After her fantastic birth I had a light bulb moment - hypnobirthing and proper birth preparation is a BIG deal. After my son's homebirth, I was hooked on all things birthing, and there was no question that I wanted to share this incredibly logical, profound, and life-changing concept with other mums-to-be.
The impact of a positive birth experience for mum and baby should never be underestimated. A healthy baby is not all that matters, mothers matter too.
Hypnobirthing Surrey
Hypnobirthing is a form of natural childbirth which involves training expectant mothers how to use effective hypnosis techniques as part of a more calm and relaxed birth for them and their child. We believe that this gives you, as a mother, more peace of mind over your birthing, and also gives your birthing partner much more involvement in the birth in a very positive way.
