About Me

Hello, I am Sally.

Congratulations upon your pregnancy. I am the recent founder of the Underwood Baby Academy but have been a midwife for many years. I am currently working as a midwife matron within a London NHS Trust. I started teaching KGHypnobirthing last year and it has really changed my life. I found it's simple logical and profound approach to antenatal education, inspirational and wish I had learnt about it earlier. It would have really supplemented my clinical practice and definitely assisted with the births of my 6 children!

The underwood baby academy offers various membership packages for couples to join during or after their births. Our packages incorporporate different modules - starting with KGH hypnobirthing antenatal education training, to pregnancy yoga, baby massage, first aid courses, positive parenting courses, nutrition advice, weaning workshops, discounted spa sessions, keep fit and even a pregnancy photo shoot.

We have a small team of midwives and professionals and would love to meet you and your partners at the start of your journeys to parenthood. 

Why KG Hypnobirthing?

KGHypnobirthing is truly inspirational. I am completely convinced that it is the most marvelous way to really enjoy the whole being pregnant thing and allowing your body to work as it is designed to do. 

I have only qualified as a KGH teacher recently - having been a midwife for over 35 years!! 

Most of my colleagues and my daughter find it amusing that I am so enthusiastic now. They have been trying to convert me for ages.

Katherine Graves training was brilliant and I learnt loads and now see hypnobirthing as the most logical, simple, practical and effective way have a baby. It empowers and changes both the mother and the father and the midwife, which will hopefully last forever.

Courses

Midwife led KGHypnobirthing courses starting in March 2020 - running over 4 evening classes or over a weekend - venues in Surrey/Berkshire - Natural Baby Shower/Chobham/Windsor

Followed  by Baby is Here class which incorporates feeding/life with new baby/emotion support following birth/nutrition/wellness.
