Katy Williams – Birthscapes

14. Morgy Hill West Crawcrook, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear NE40 4UG, England

Hello there, I’m so glad that you’ve found me here.

At Birthscapes I offer support to parents and parents to be, from conception onwards, with a particular focus upon parental wellbeing.

As well as being a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher, I am an API Positive Parenting Educator and I always say that starting with hypnobirting is a wonderful way to start your parenting journey positively, for both you and baby.

Hypnobirthing is not just for birth… although hypnobirthing supports a more comfortable birth experience, it reduces stress levels and helps to produce positive hormones that have so many benefits for the birth person / mum as well as baby, with positive implications on baby’s long-term development.

Additionally, hypnobirthing provides birth partners with education and tools to be able to become a wonderful birth advocate, and help to protect your “birth bubble”.

KG Hypnobirthing is not a “set of relaxations and breathing exercises” it is a 5* fully comprehensive antenatal eduction and it is something that all parents deserve to gift themselves as they approach the birth of their baby.

With KG Hypnobirthing you receive the tools, support and education to have a more informed, positive and empowered birth experience.

Location

Hello there,

I’m Katy, founder of Birthscapes, former KG Hypnobirthing mum, trained Occupational Therapist and perinatal wellbeing practitioner. I am based in the North East (UK), within a small village in Gateshead near to the Tynedale Valley where I live with my husband and daughter (my hypno baby).

Following the birth of my daughter, I decided to draw on my training to create Birthscapes, providing holistic support to parents and parents-to-be from conception onwards.

At Birthscapes parental wellbeing is at the heart of everything I do.

I offer holistic support to expectant parents, with my training as a KG Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Teacher complimented by my training as a 3 Step Rewind trauma & phobia practitioner (specialising in fertility, birth and postpartum trauma & tokophobia).

I offer a combined package owith KGHypnobirthing and 3 Step Rewind trauma & phobia release on a 1:1 basis, for expectant parents who may have had a previous traumatic birth experience.

I offer comprehensive support packages where there are special circumstances (e.g. breech birth, gestational diabetes, elective cesarean). I find that due to my background and approach, I am a good match for parents who may benefit from extra guidance and sensitivity.

Further to this, I am a trained Before and Beyond Birth Mental Wellbeing Practitioner with the Beyond Birth Collective, Attachment Parenting International (API) Attached at the Heart Positive Parenting Educator, Starting Solids Workshop Facilitator, Grow with Me Mum & Baby Group Facilitator, and I am a trainee infant massage instructor, mindful breastfeeding supporter and tree babies guide.

I have became a huge birth nerd and have a specialist interest in the role of oxytocin (the hormone of love, birth and bonding)… you’ll hear all about this as part of the KGHypnobirthing course.

I pride myself on offering opportunities for parents to connect both in person and online, as having our parenting tribe is so very important.

Whether you are first-time parents or not, I’d love to chat with you and see whether I may be a good fit for you here at Birthscapes.

Warmest wishes,

Katy

Louise (2nd time parent)

‘Katy’s input really had a positive impact on my pregnancy and birthing experience after a previous traumatic birth. She has fantastic knowledge and as different things came up in my pregnancy she would provide me with research and knowledge and ensure that I knew all of my possible options to enable me to make informed decisions. She was flexible and always willing to go that bit extra to help in any she could.

I would recommend Katy to help deal with previous birth trauma and be able to focus on a future birth with a clearer mind, and/or to approach birth with knowledge and empowerment to make the experience more positive’

Vicky (1st time parent, attended hypnobirthing taster session):

‘Katy is a really knowledgeable practitioner who is passionate about ensuring birthing people feel empowered and supported. Thanks for all your help Katy.’

Please head to https://www.birthscapes.com/ or email to find out more about my current prices and offerings.

I offer support online globally, and I may be able to offer face to face support within the North East (within a 30 mile radius) depending upon COVID-19 restrictions. Where face to face support is arranged this is on the basis of both parties completing a lateral flow test in advance.

I provide support to all parents / birthing persons, for all birth choices, including elective cesarean. The beauty of the KGHypnobirthing course is that it is suited to all birth scenarios.

I regularly provide hypnobirthing taster sessions online, please head to https://www.birthscapes.com/ for more information.
