Hypnobirthing Wales - Teachers' Directory
Hi I'm Claire:-) I am a fully qualified KGHypnobirthing Instructor, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher and Baby Massage Instructor with a passion for helping mums, dads and babies to achieve the best possible birth for them and the most wonderful start in life. I am very privileged to have have been teaching prenatal and postatal classes since 2005 and just love being involved in such this very special time for both men, women and, of course, their little ones. I learn something new from every parent I meet and bring that new knowledge to every course I run. I also bring elements of pregnancy yoga which I find complement hypnobirthing beautifully. I have met many wonderful people through hypnobirthing and yoga, and lots amazing hypnobabies! I am a fully qualified Hypnobirthing Instructor, Yoga Teacher & Baby Massage Instructor. I have trained extensively with Katharine Graves KGHypnobirthing, The British Wheel of Yoga, Birthlight, Yoga Alliance, IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage) and am a member of FEDANT (Federation of Antenatal Educators) and REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals). I have been pacticing yoga since 1995 & teaching since 2003 and regularly attend workshops and training courses to further develop my personal practice and teaching skills.
I am an ex midwife/nurse, trained therapist and Hypnotherapist who is passionate about Hypnobirthing. I am a mum with 3 grown up children and have a granddaughter and grandson. Both my daughters used Hypnobirthing and found it extremely beneficial. I am currently working as a Senior Therapist and a Hypnotherapist in a local University and run a private practise. I can also be found as a practitioner on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy website Registration number 045310. However, I have always missed being a midwife so feel this opportunity to teach Hypnobirthing gives me the best of both worlds that I would love to share with prospective parents!. I would be happy to meet to discuss your requirements either in person or over the telephone or skype.
Originally trained as a counsellor, I worked with young people with addiction and later qualified as a secondary school teacher. During this time I also learned to meditate and soon began to pass on this skill to others; I have now been teaching meditation for almost thirty years. Having used a form of hypnobirthing for my second and third births, and to support my own daughter in the birth of her baby, I wanted to combine this knowledge with my knowledge of relaxation and mindfulness techniques to support pregnant women further. I completed the KGHypnobirthing course to enable me to offer this specialist technique with the antenatal element which I believe so strongly is crucial to empowering women in taking control of their births.
My love for Hypnobirthing started almost six years ago when I was pregnant with my first daughter; as there were no classes in my area I bought ‘The Hypnobirthing Book’ and taught myself. Now, having experienced two beautiful natural births I am passionate about helping other women achieve the best possible birthing experience. My drive to help other women is deeply rooted and I feel a responsibility to pass on the knowledge I have gained through KGHypnobirthing to others. I have been told that my enthusiasm for Hypnobirthing is infectious and I love helping future mothers and fathers at such an important and wonderful time for them.
I’m Lisa .. Mother of four, Doula, KGHypnobirthing practitionerband founder of birth roots. I offer individualised, nurturing care as one journeys towards and through birth into their post-partum. It’s a joy and honour to walk with and bear witness to women’s power and to support their choices, whatever they may be. . I have no particular focus on one type or place of birth, simply the birth that is right for you, one that aligns with your presenting and evolving needs and desires. My care for women over the maternal year begins by providing support antenatally through to birth and into the postnatal period. This phase, termed the fourth trimester, can often be overlooked, but time taken here always benefits the new Mother, and in turn the whole family. By Mothering the Mother, through nurturing and nourishing care, it allows her to rest and recover, while gently transitioning into her new role, while the whole family adjust to their new rhythm of life. Complementing this I am a Holisitc Therapist, offering Reflexology, Massage and Aromatherapy; for those choosing to enhance their holistic wellbeing. I am also a Placenta Remedies Specialist, working for women who choose to include their placenta as part of their post partum healing, in the form of encapsulation, tincture, essence and homeopathic remedies. Additionally I hold skills in Rebozo, Homeopathy and Acupressure for childbirth, while crafting bespoke Mother Blessing ceremonies and Closing the Bones ceremony, which takes place post partum. My experience personally, and with the clients I support, is that when a woman understands the processes of birth and all the choices available to her within this, receives respectful and compassionate care, she is then better able to emerge powerful, joyful and intact because birth has been positively transformational. This matters to me because women are important, our needs are important, birth is important, Motherhood is important. I admin our local positive birth group, holding monthly birth circles too, nestled here in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Hi there, I'm Charlotte. I am a qualified KG Hypnobirthing teacher, yoga teacher in training and founder of Baía Rituals - a brand dedicated to encouraging soulful living throughout every aspect of life.
I am Mum to Indio and Calia, both born at home calmly and I have Hypnobirthing to thank for that. I can quite honestly say - Hypnobirthing changed my life!
Hypnobirthing didn't just give me two wonderful birth experiences, it completely changed my life. It opened my eyes to the power of the mind, the body and the soul, and during pregnancy and after birth I started exploring practices that aligned with this way of thinking. I now practice yoga regularly and meditate to maintain a balanced and grounded life, but ultimately it's all about a frame of mind.
"Your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change" - John Assaraf

Over the years, my career has moulded me into a unique combination of a nurse specialist in anaesthesia and a registered midwife. I have been helping mothers and fathers in some of the most life-changing situations of their lives for a very long time, and have also worked with newborn babies and young children going through serious medical and surgical operations.
For you, this translates as a mountain of practical knowledge and experience to help guide you and open up options for you and your birth.
As a KGH certified and Royal College of Midwives accredited hypnobirthing teacher, I use my skills and lived experience to deliver a hands-on, interactive, gentle, evidence-based and empowering course.
