Hypnobirthing Ceredigion - Teachers' Directory
I am anaesthetic midwife, which basically means that I am a nurse specialist in anaesthesia and a current student of midwifery. I have been calming mothers in the most terrifying situations of their lives for years, and have also worked with newborn babies and young children going through serious medical and surgical rough patches. For you, this translates as a mountain of practical knowledge and experience to help guide you and open up options for you and your birth. As a hypnobirthing teacher, I won't be invoking my medical training, but I use my skills and lived experience to deliver a pragmatic, gentle, eveidence-based and empowering course. I know that knowledge is power and I will pass mine on to you by the bucketload; and I have witnessed just how paralyzing fear can be, especially in childbirth, so I will teach you how to step out of anxieties, how to keep yourself calm (and each other!) and find your inner strength to discover just how much you are capable of. Questions and skeptics and enthusiasm are all welcome!
During my first pregnancy, I felt this amazing empowerment and connection with my body, my partner and my child. The birth experience was intense and powerful and I found the pain manageable and natural. I am so proud to share my positive birth story with whoever wants to listen (and some who have no choice!). I have KGHypnobirthing to thank for this!
Since becoming a parent and having such an empowering birth, I became a bit obsessed with Hypnobirthing and felt the overwhelming need to share my experience and knowledge to help as many parents as possible! I qualified as a Hypnobirthing teacher in 2018, trained by KGHypnobirthing the original UK Hypnobirthing and the teacher training course is Royal College of Midwives accredited.
I currently live and work in Hertfordshire and work with families across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and also in my home town of Aberystwyth, West Wales.
