Hypnobirthing Warwickshire - Teachers' Directory
I have taught parents-to-be since 2010 after quality with Bedford University as an Antenatal Educator. In 2015 I qualified as a hypnobirthing practitioner with KG Hypnobirthing and I am a member of the Hypnobirthing Association.
My philosopy is simple 'that all parents-to-be are happy and fully informed about their choices, are able to make and agree any decisions about their care to the benefit of both mother and her baby'.
I have a general nursing background and bring a wealth of NHS experience to the team and a real drive to deliver the goals and aspirations of Bump2baby Reality to support local families. I am actively involved with Warwick Hospital maternity unit. In 2014 - 16 I chaired the Maternity Partnership, and I continue to attend the, Midwifery Guideline Forum. This enables me to keep the team up to date with local practises, and deliver information to parents-to-be that help them make informed decisions about their maternity care. I also lecture to student midwives at Coventry University about private antenatal provision.
My background is in acute nursing having worked as an RGN for 16 years both within clinical and managerial settings. I worked at Warwick Hospital for 8 years as a senior nurse in the operating theatre and within trust management holding positions of project manager and later a trust quality coordinator. I have also worked as a project nurse for Bedford NHS Trust and Bedford NHS direct. My final nursing position was as a nurse advisor for an international loss adjuster company. I am a member of the Federation of Antenatal Educators FEDANT National Registration Number 12180
Hi my name is Katy Cooper and I live near Leicester with my husband and we are the very proud parents of two wonderful children.
I had the pleasure of being trained by the the wondeerful Katharine Graves, and i'm completely passionate about the concept of KGHypnobirthing, in that it incorporates an antenatal educational programme as well as the wonderful Hypnobirthing techniques, and both of those combined together and the course being bespoked to you, makes a huge difference.
I myself am a hypnobirthing mummy and completely understand your interest and curiosity with Hypnobirthing and wanting a natural, drug free and calm birth, but also fighting with the fears and anxieties you may have picked up from friends negative birthing stories, the media, films and dramas. I have been there and felt the same way, but, hand on heart, hypnobirthing can change that perception and help to eliminate those fears and anxieties and help you to actually look forward to your birth and actually enjoy it!
I believe where possible every birth should be surrounded with calmness, trust, love, a relaxed environment, positivity, and happiness and this is where I will be able to support you and give you the knowledge and skills you need to have the best birth possible.

Choosing the right hynobirthing course is important. We all have different needs, motivations and concerns. When I teach, my goal is to ensure that everyone in the course feels comfortable, relaxed and at ease so they can ask the questions they need, practice and get as much benefit from the course as possible. Regardless of whether you choose to attend a group course or invest in private sessions, I am here to support you throughout the course and beyond to ensure you continue to build confidence right up to the birth of your baby.

Hi, I'm Lara. I am a mum of two and a community midwife. My passion for hypnobirthing started during my midwifery training when I completed a dissertation on 'fear of childbirth' and the effects that hypnobirthing can have in instilling confidence in women and their ability to birth. I have been a midwife for over 6 years and I am passionate about empowering women and their family. Prior to midwifery, I was a spa therpist, specialising in holistical therapies. During this time I learnt the importance of breathing techniques to aid relaxation and the importance that this can have on the human body both physically and mentally. Outside of my worklife, I am a wife and mum to two wonderful children who are my world.
My name is Harriet; mother, student midwife, and registered KGHypnobirthing Practitioner based on the Warwickshire/Cotswold border.
I’ve supported a number of women during pregnancy and labour journeys, appreciating their concerns, fears, wishes whilst empowering and advocating for them to achieve the birth they deserve. I have personally experienced a homebirth as a first-time mum and am experienced at birth in all settings and am therefore able to provide unbiased and evidence-based information for your pregnancy and birth choices.
