About Me

I am an experienced coach and mentor and founder of Sophrosyne Birth (formerly the Lovely Birth Company). I am fascinated by all things associated with pregnancy and birth.  I am passionate about hypnobirthing and have seen first hand the incredible impact it can have.

Choosing the right hynobirthing course is important. We all have different needs, motivations and concerns.  When I teach, my goal is to ensure that everyone in the course feels comfortable, relaxed and at ease so they can ask the questions they need, practice and get as much benefit from the course as possible.  Regardless of whether you choose to attend a group course or invest in private sessions, I am here to support you throughout the course and beyond to ensure you continue to build confidence right up to the birth of your baby.

Why KG Hypnobirthing?

KGHypnobirthing is a complete antenatal preparation which supports you in achieving the birth that you want. Whilst it cannot promise a perfect birth, it is more than likely going to make a real and positive difference to the experience of giving birth.  It gives you the tools you need to achieve the best birth for you. It provides information on how the body works, signposts the options available in all different circumstances and provides the knowledge and tools to reduce fear and empower both parents.  You will have the confidence to question and work with medical caregivers to understand the options available and make decisions which you feel comfortable with, and therefore allows you to feel in control of your birth and experience. Using the hynobirthing tools, you can reduce the need for pain relief and shorten labour and you are more likely to experience a natural, calm and comfortable birth without the need for medical intervention.  The techniques you will learn will carry forward after the birth and beyond, for parents and baby, in a whole range of life experiences and situations.
