I’m Sarita and a proud mum of 3 beautiful children, living just outside Ashford, Kent. I am a qualified Doula, KG Hypnobirthing teacher and a Montessori educator of over 13 years.
I believe passionately in our innate ability to give birth free from fear, in calm, in comfort and with confidence. I completely trust in this marvellous, natural process that, when left undisturbed, can have an incredible impact on the outcome of pregnancy and childbirth.
Having experienced a beautiful home-birth and also both simple and difficult hospital births, I understand that sometimes things don't always go as planned, but you can always have a calm birth that suits your unique situation and circumstance.
I consider it a privilege to partner and journey with you in becoming more empowered and encouraged, to feel anticipation, excitement, joy and love in preparation and during the birth of your precious baby.
I am a Mind-Body specialist that has dedicated the last 17 years to passionately support women and men during the family building process. I am currently part of a team teaching KG Hypnobirthing in an UK hospital.
My background includes a solid experience as childbirth educator and birth and post-birth doula. In addition I am a UNICEF certified breastfeeding counsellor and I am now specializing in pregnancy massage with Suzanne Yate's Well Mother.
As I currently work and teach KG Hypnobirthing in a hospital setting, I have the privilege to continuously witness the power of this mind-body technique to help women and their partners discover the perfection of the birthing process, address their concerns about it and achieve a positive birth experience.
My training in psychotherapy (Gestalt and Body Oriented therapies) provides me with the skills needed to support women who feel especially anxious about birth or who have had a previous traumatic experience.
I bring to my Hypnobirthing classes my knowledge of the powerful mind-body connection as well as my counselling skills to offer women and their partners emotional and practical support that responds to their personal needs and circumstances during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
When I gave birth to my little boy Sydney in 2015 it was one of the most empowering moments of my life. I had a short, calm and comfortable birth - all thanks to the KG Hypnobirthing method. I am passionate that all women should be able to achieve a great birth that they can look back on with fondness, which is why I became a teacher myself.
I live in Dartford with my baby and husband, Matt.
I am Sophie and I live in Faversham, Kent, with my partner Ben and our two lovely children, Felix and Esther. Before I was a teacher I was a childminder and studying at university. I loved childminding as I worked with amazing families and wonderful children. I got to stay at home and see my little boy grow up. But after taking hypnobirthing classes with Kent Hypnobirthing and witnessing the hugely positive and life changing effect that they had on me I knew I had to become a teacher! My first birth was without hypnobirthing and that has shown clearly the powerful impact that the classes, practise and application have as my second experience of birth was totally opposite to my first. The relationship I have with my body, mind and the people close to me have been altered so positively. It's so exciting to pass this on to the future mums and dads I teach!
My name is Lindsay, I am a qualified Hypnobirthing teacher and a licensed NCT Antenatal practitioner, I live in Ashford with my husband, two young children and our dog. My own experiences have inspired and driven me to want to support other parents to become calm and confident as they approach birth or parenthood.
It is a great privilege to be a part of such a special time in people’s lives and knowing that I am helping parents to be to have a positive birth experience, has only fuelled my passion.
My name is Edwina and as well as being mum to two gorgeous girls, I’m a KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner; ‘Birthing from Within’ Birth Preparation Mentor; Life Coach and experienced Registered Shiatsu Practitioner, specialising in pregnancy. In a previous life, many moons ago, I was a Chartered Accountant!
As the founder of ‘Birthways’, I’m passionate about helping couples have a positive, empowering birth experience however events may unfold.
My range of qualifications and professional experience allow me to offer you support on many levels (emotionally, mentally and physically) throughout your pregnancy. I will give you the tools to achieve the best birth for you and increase your potential of a calmer, gentler birth.
You’ll learn ways to relax; release any fears and anxieties; build trust and confidence in your body’s ability to birth and feel fully prepared and aware of all your options.
My passion for birth started during a postgraduate course in ‘Shiatsu for Maternity and the Postnatal Period’. This simmering passion ignited after my two amazing home births. Despite some unexpected events along the way, including a hospital visit, throughout my labour I truly felt a deep level of calm and at one with the powerful flow of nature and birth. There’s nothing quite like that magic moment when you realise ‘I did it…We did it!!!’ The recognition that you stepped into the unknown; laboured; did what you instinctively needed to do to get through each moment and were now on the other side with your baby! I strongly feel that my birth preparation significantly contributed to what I can only describe as a life-affirming event.
When I’m not supporting pregnant couples, you may find me at yoga, cycling, playing tennis and being a ‘mummy taxi’ to my 13 and 10 year old daughters... amongst other things!
It’s such a privilege and joy to mentor mothers and their birth partners as they journey towards the birth of their baby and themselves as parents. I love my role as a KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner and Birth Preparation Mentor and look forward to meeting and working with many more families for years to come.
As a clinical hypnotherapist and having previously practiced as a midwife, I wanted to continue to support women through their child birthing experience. With my calm, nurturing approach to child birth, I can give you tools to enable you to have a calm, comfortable and confident birth experience.
After the birth of my first baby didn't go the way I had wanted I became increasingly interested in supporting parents both antenatally and postnatally in a way that respects their desires, instincts and goals. I have since become an accredited Breastfeeding Counsellor and now a Hypnobirthing Teacher. Through both of these I hope to give parents evidence based information that helps them to trust themselves, their bodies and their babies. My second birth, a hypnobirth was exactly as I had hoped my first would be. I felt calm and in control - a feeling I aim to pass on to all of the Mums and Dads I work with.
Hello my name is Kate and I live in Cliftonville, Margate with my husband Nathaniel and our two sons, Huxley & Beau. I learned about Hypnobirthing during my first pregnancy when it was recommended to me by a good friend who had experienced a wonderful 8 hour natural water birth. I did a Marie Mongan course and found it incredibly relaxing. I definitely feel that it helped me bond with my baby and my husband, as well as filling me with excitement and confidence for the birth of my baby. I ended up being induced as I was almost 2 weeks past my due date. This eventually led to a C-Section birth (not quite what I had planned), but I used the Hypnobirthing techniques during the labour and birth and they made a huge difference to the experience. My surges were intense but I can honestly say they were not painful and despite the unexpected outcome, I remained calm and connected. I was able to breastfeed immediately, went home the next day and had a very quick recovery. Yet I still felt, (and still do feel - over 3 years on), a sense of regret - a nagging kind of feeling that what had happened was unnecessary and that the decision process had been taken out of my hands. This made me want to revisit Hypnobirthing and I trained to be a Hypnobirthing teacher with Katherine Graves.
The birth of my second son was completely different to my first and although it also unfortunately resulted in an unexpected C-Section, (for what I feel were more necessary reasons),I felt in control and listened to and was therefore able to labour for longer using Hypnobirthing techniques which kept me calm and focused.
This time around, I felt empowered enough to make decisions that felt right for me when things did not quite go according to plan. Although on paper, this birth turned out to be more complicated than my first, I felt infinitely better about the experience. There was no sense of regret or lack of control, just a strong sense that what happened needed to happen and my husband and I made the decision that felt right for us. Once again, the techniques ensured I was calm and connected and helped tremendously through my surges, but this time I had the added benefit of feeing totally in control of how things progressed. This made all the difference and is for me, one of the most valuable aspects of the KG course.
Needless to say, I use what I learned during the births of my sons in my teaching along with my counselling experience (I have a Foundation certificate in Humanistic & Integrative counselling from BCPC). I am totally non-judgemental and non-prescriptive about how you choose to give birth. What matters to me is that you feel fully supported throughout your pregnancy and beyond which is why I also make myself available for as long as you need me after your baby is born. I truly am here for you.
I feel very privileged to be a Hypnobirthing teacher and share all I have learnt with parents to be. Hypnobirthing cannot promise the 'perfect' birth but I have experienced and seen the difference it makes. I am here to help you achieve the best birth you can as well as preparing you for any unexpected challenges that come your way.
I began my career in television production, spending twelve years working in many advertising agencies in London. After two successful hypnobirths of my own, I discovered a passionate interest in the deeper workings of the mind, particularly the mind-body connection, and completed a diploma in Hypnotherapy.
In founding Latitude Hypnotherapy I find great joy in enabling people to conquer the many varied challenges we all come up against in life.
My personal passion is in empowering women to have the fear-free, calm birth that every mother and baby deserves.
I utterly believe that every woman is capable of birthing her baby naturally, without interference, in the vast majority of cases. I whole-heartedly trust in the wisdom of nature and in every woman’s intelligence and inner wisdom to know what is best for her and her baby. My experience as a qualified midwife has confirmed my belief and I have been privileged to be ‘with women’ for many, many, beautiful normal births. I have never ceased to wonder at the power and wisdom of the labouring woman and how, if left alone, she will know just what to do and when to do it - peacefully and in perfect control of her natural urges to birth her baby.
As a psychotherapist, I am also passionate about the quality of the attachment relationship between a mother and her infant. There is a lot of literature that confirms my own experience and belief that the kind of birth a mother has directly influences, not only her early postnatal experience and relationship with her infant, but her psychological well-being and sense of self for many years to come. Birth is a rite-of-passage for every woman and I am privileged to be able to have the skills I need to help pregnant women to prepare for their birth and to maintain a sense of control and inner peace, whatever the outcome.

Why Choose a Hypnobirth?
Hypnobirthing and the use of hypnosis is becoming increasingly recognised as an effective method for giving birth as it helps the mother have a far more rewarding, relaxed and natural birthing experience than she may ever have thought possible. Not only that, but the baby is far more relaxed too as she has not felt any of her mother's stress or anxiety through the birthing.
We have members across the United Kingdom and beyond, with a number based throughout Kent, including practitioners in Ashford, Canterbury, Chatham, Cranbrook, Herne bay, Kings Hill, Medway, Maidstone, Rochester, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne, Tenterden and Tunbridge Wells. So we hope you will be to find a course reasonably local to where you live. Alternatively, many members can also provide individual classes, if that is your preference.
Our teachers are trained in KG Hypnobirthing and are experienced in teaching expectant mothers how to use these methods as they progress through childbirth. Each has been individually assessed to ensure they meet our high standards of practice, before they receive their accreditation from us.
