KG Hypnobirthing is the hypnobirthing method of choice for midwives and obstetricians, having trained over 5,000 health care professionals globally.

The KGH course for midwives is a complete antenatal training and the course is constantly evolving to keep up-to date with the latest evidence and research. The course counts towards your CPD. Midwives who have been present at a KGH birth already know that it is a completely different experience to a ‘normal’ birth.

In 2016, following the publication of the ‘Better Birth Report’, KGHypnobirthing was chosen to take part in the National Transformation Programme (NTP), and delivered training to 11 hospitals and providers in the Cheshire and Merseyside area. KGHypnobirthing were chosen as our service includes the core principles of the NTP, choice, continuity of care, quality service and improved experience for women and babies. As hypnobirthing continues to grow in demand, the NHS is recognising the need to provide this service.

Web-based Training

Hypnotherapy for Hypnobirthing is an online module that is streamed onto your computer. This module provides loads of practical information essential to you throughout your KG Hypnobirthing career. Presented as web based learning it will give you all the background knowledge you need to gain maximum benefit from the KG Hypnobirthing Teacher Training Module.

Overview

This is one part of the course that is sometimes under-estimated. It is important for teachers to have an understanding of and practice in hypnotherapy before they start to teach couples hypnobirthing, otherwise they will just be repeating the material by rote. To have a brief explanation is quite different to having spent time actually being shown the hypnotherapy techniques. We provide you with the best possible training, and you are provided with an in-depth manual to refer to after the course.

KG Hypnobirthing Teacher Training

Course Trainer

KG Hypnobirthing Teacher Training Course is taught by an experienced specialist hypnobirthing teacher who is either a senior midwife or else has in-depth knowledge of midwifery.

Overview

This module is the core of the course and we go through the content of the course, exploring why it is constructed as it is, and explaining how to teach it.

On this module you are given a copy of The Hypnobirthing Book, the KG Hypnobirthing relaxation CD, Colour and Calmness, your teaching folder, and a copy of the handouts you give to parents when you teach.

There is also a section on getting going as a new KG Hypnobirthing teacher, which includes information on marketing, insurance, etc. This is enormously helpful when you start teaching.

Assessment
