Our Hypnobirthing courses are designed to give you the knowledge and tools to have a positive, calm and natural birth. We’ve all heard the horror birth stories and whether it’s your first baby or your 2nd, 3rd, 4th… we’re here to teach you the science and give you the confidence to trust your instincts, work with your breath and believe that you are capable of having a wonderful story to tell. Benefits for you and your baby • You are likely to experience a more comfortable and sometimes pain free birth • The length of labour is often much shorter • Less drugs and medical intervention is highly likely • Mums often bounce back quicker both physically and emotionally You will learn • Breathing techniques for each stage of labour to help you stay focused and in control • Deep relaxation and self-hypnosis to allow you to ‘get into your zone’ yet stay alert and in control • How to address fears and re-programme negative beliefs about birth • All about your hormones, your muscles and your nervous system and how you can tap into nature’s very own form of pain management

As a Kinesiologist I have a passion for helping others to be healthy and there is no better start to a person’s life than a calm, pain free, drug free birth. The positive impact on both mother and baby’s lives is so important to me and it’s my absolute pleasure to work with families to achieve this. I am a proud hypnobirthing mother of two and now expecting our third baby which I’m extremely excited about. My teaching style is calm and relaxed yet enthusiastic. Teaching KG Hypnobirthing is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done and I love supporting my family, friends and clients during their pregnancy, labour and post-partum journeys.

My husband and I attended a two day hypnobirthing course with Jo in March 2019. Initially I was a little apprehensive as I knew this would be something that would take us both out of our comfort zones, however I wanted to try it to alleviate some of the anxiety I was feeling about labour, particularly given this was our first baby and I had heard birthing horror stories from my friends and colleagues. This course did not disappoint and exceeded both of our expectations. Jo immediately made us feel relaxed and at ease. The course was extremely well structured, delivered and very informative. It was more than just about breathing techniques and relaxation, it provided the science behind the processes and gave me a greater understanding of how my body will adapt in labour. It also helped my husband to understand the importance of his role during the birth and I actually feel like it has brought us closer together. I am now no longer apprehensive about giving birth and am even looking forward to it! We are also planning to use some of the techniques we learnt long after the baby is born to help us relax in our otherwise crazy lives. Thanks Jo, fantastic course, highly recommended!
