We are a mother and daughter team and we feel extremely excited to be able to offer insight from not only someone who has practiced hypnobirthing herself, but also a birthing partner who has experienced hypnobirthing from this perspective.
We completed our hypnobirthing training with KGHypnobirthing, which is an internationally renowned programme, and the gold standard of hypnobirthing teacher training. The KGHypnobirthing Teacher Training Course is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, so you can have confidence in our professionalism and the quality of the course.

Hi, I’m Chloe. I am a qualified hypnobirthing teacher. Hypnobirthing became a passion of mine after this transformed the pregnancy and birth of my daughter. Entering the world of the maternity system can feel scary and daunting, I felt like I didn’t have the knowledge and understanding that I needed to make informed decisions for me and my baby. I wholeheartedly wanted to make the best decisions for my baby’s entry into the world but felt completely overwhelmed by all of the different opinions, antennal conversations and all the negative and dramatic birth stories. I was terrifying myself and was on a self-fulfilling path for a traumatic birth where I’d likely pass out (this being my usual reaction to highly stressful situations), because this is what I told myself… after all, most of us share the perception that birth is painful and very dangerous.
Then I found hypnobirthing. I gained so much knowledge about how to navigate the maternity system- I understood what questions to ask and when. I knew exactly what I wanted the birth of my baby to look like. I had tools that I would use during my pregnancy to prepare me for the birth. I felt in control, knowledgeable, calm and relaxed in the lead up to the birth and during the birth.
I truly believe that all parents need to know how natural it is to birth a baby and how it is something that your body is designed to do- it just happens and you just need to move out of the way to let your body do it. I am a true believer that knowledge is power which is very relevant in pregnancy and birth; when mothers/birthing people get the information they need to make the birth of their baby a positive one, they then have the tools to make childbirth empowering.
A baby’s journey into the world is such an important one and it needs to be prepared for and planned like any other big life event. Pregnancy and birth is such a special and important time and it would be an honour to be part of your journey.

Hi, I’m Jo. I have recently had the pleasure of being a birthing partner for my daughter, Chloe, which introduced me to hypnobirthing and I experienced the positive impact hypnobirthing had on my daughter’s wellbeing throughout labour and my granddaughter’s birth story.
I am a mother of three and although I did not benefit from hypnobirthing throughout any of my pregnancies, I completed a Human Science (Anthropology) Degree between my second and third child, in which I studied how childbirth varies in different cultures and became very aware of the medicalisation of childbirth in westernised / first world countries; knowledge which empowered and informed my decision making around the birth of my third child, which was much calmer and a lot less invasive as a result. I feel I am in a perfect position to teach hypnobirthing as I witnessed first hand, as a birthing mother, the difference being well informed and mentally prepared for birth had on me and my third baby, as well as being a birthing partner for my eldest daughter.
I am a qualified Social Worker currently practicing in Adult social work but with several years’ experience in Children’s social work also. My main areas of interest that inform my practice are Systemic Practice; Trauma Informed and Strengths Based, all of which fit beautifully with the hypnobirthing programme. Button Moon Hypnobirthing looks at the bigger picture: using elements of systemic practice (how we have evolved to be perfectly designed to give birth alongside the medicalisation of labour and birth and the impact this has had on our cultural conditioning), it aims to prevent trauma from occurring (by supporting the body and mind to work together to achieve a calm and more comfortable birth) and it is a celebration of the intricacies of the physiology of human birth and the power of the mind, which is very strengths focussed.
Although my career in social work is very rewarding, as a professional I generally become involved in people’s lives when there is a problem or issue, whereas in the role of a hypnobirthing teacher, I have the privilege of being at the very beginning of a story, supporting parents to achieve the labour and birth they want, which fills me with an overwhelming sense of pride, joy and enthusiasm.
I am very much looking forward to meeting you!
“Thank you so much Chloe for all that information. I am so grateful for it all, thank you so much!! It’s all really opened my eyes to labour and I feel a lot more prepared. I can’t believe how much happier I feel and more relaxed I feel after talking to you about it all.”
