Theresa Pearce – New Moon Baby

8 Fishponds Way, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 3PJ, England

Welcome to New Moon Baby! Having welcomed two children into the world myself, I understand firsthand the importance of choosing the right Hypnobirthing course. My personal journey led me to experience two different programs, which ultimately inspired me to become a trained practitioner with KGH. Reflecting on my own births, I now realise that a full KGH course would have equipped me to make decisions that could have enhanced my birthing experiences.

During your pregnancy journey, conversations with midwives will increasingly focus on crucial birth-related decisions, such as your preferred birthplace, pain relief options, hospital choice, and vaccinations. However, many mothers are unaware of the numerous other decisions that significantly impact the birth experience, often viewing certain procedures as standard and obligatory. For instance, procedures like a ‘stretch and sweep’ are often presented as routine, but it is important to gather information to determine if it’s the right choice for you.

Our course at New Moon Baby is designed to inform and empower you with evidence-based knowledge, enabling you to make well-informed choices for yourself, your partner, and your baby. You will discover insights and information you didn’t know you needed, ensuring you feel confident and prepared as you approach your birthing experience.

A Little Bit of Honesty About Me…

I’ve always been passionate about Psychology, and since my undergraduate degree, I’ve been keen on applying its principles to everyday life. After my first child, I was fortunate enough not to return to work immediately, but I craved a challenge and personal growth. This led me to pursue a Master’s in Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London, with a goal of delving into scientific research, a field I found immensely fascinating.

Just a month after completing my Master’s, I discovered I was pregnant with my second child—a delightful surprise after some time trying. Balancing life with two children, I realised pursuing a research career was impractical without proximity to a major university. That’s when I started considering starting my own Hypnobirthing business. It took time and courage to take the leap, but now, I am confident and thrilled to share my knowledge and experience to support other parents on their birthing journey. Teaching Hypnobirthing allows me to blend my passion for scientific evidence with my dedication to helping others achieve a positive birth experience, all while being perfect for my own family’s well-being.

Outside of Hypnobirthing and caring for my children (which naturally takes up much of my time), I have a deep love for nature. I enjoy growing my own food and continually transforming my garden, often involving my children in these activities. My passion for learning persists, so I’m currently exploring Health and Wellness, which I love integrating into my teaching as well.

“I was finding the last trimester of my pregnancy really overwhelming, and Theresa really helped to calm me down. She gave me all the information I needed to make some really important decisions about induction.”

“Thank you Theresa, it was even better than I thought it would be!…You definitely convinced my husband and now he isn’t worried about being useless at the birth!”

“I learned so many things I didn’t know I needed to know. My labour and birth would have been so different if I hadn’t done this course.”

I believe in personalising my Hypnobirthing courses to meet your unique needs. Alongside the comprehensive KGH course, you can choose additional Pregnancy Wellness topics to explore with me. This customisation can significantly enhance your pregnancy experience, adding an extra layer of positivity and support.
