Laura Gronow – Sunrise Birthing

My name’s Laura, I’m a band 6 Midwife, based close to Wolverhampton. I am passionate about supporting women and couples during their pregnancy, labour and birthing experiences and truly believe it helps strengthen the bond between couples and their newborns. Having previously completed a degree in Biological Sciences, it was important for me to teach a hypnobirth course based on science and fact. This course allows you to learn how the mind and body are linked and how we can use our minds to support the natural progression of labour.

Through this course, I aim to educate couples, helping them to have empowering birthing experiences. I aim to help couples understand as much as possible about birth, giving them the confidence to ask questions, do research and make informed choices that suit their needs. The techniques I teach will help in releasing any anxiety and fear associated with birth, helping women to relax and have more positive experiences.

Alongside working within a local hospitals midwifery-led and obstetric-led wards, I enjoy completing further courses to to help women through birth. Alongside KG hypnobirthing, I am also qualified in aromoatherapy for chidbirth.

In my freetime, I enjoy keeping fit by running and attending gym classes. I also enjoy taking my dog for long walks through the Peak District…. I balance this out with my love of baking!
