Hypnobirthing Bedfordshire - Teachers' Directory
I am a Mother to a wonderful little girl born Oct 18, a registered nurse and Public Health Practitioner, with over 10 years experience working for the NHS.
I believe that a woman’s experience of birth is fundamental in her journey to Motherhood, and it is therefore my mission to ensure that all births are reflected upon positively, with women confident that they had the best birth for them and their babies.
The RB Project’s Hypnobirthing course is a simple and logical birth education programme which provides women and their partners with the knowledge, tools and techniques, for an empowering birth experience. It covers the physiology of birth, the impact of fear on the Mother, baby and birthing process and prepares Mother’s and their birthing partners with the tools to remain in a calm and confident state, allowing the mind and body to work together for the best possible birth, whatever the path. The course also considers the medical system and how to confidently navigate this in order to achieve personalised care, right for you and your baby.
I am a hypnotherapist of 10 years and have now qualified as a Hypnobirthing teacher.
My husband and 2 teenage daughters have lived in the growing community of Cambourne for the last 17 years. I began training 13 years ago with the NCT to become a fully qualified antental and postnatal facilitator. I run courses in and around Cambridge weekly and have good links with the local hospital and am involved in the local Maternity voices committees.
Along side this, I have worked as a birth and postnatal doula for 10 years, supporting many families through pregnancy birth and their early parenting experiences; trained wtih BabyCalm and the school of Babywearing and have completed lots of online learning modules with the University of Warwick.
I am keen and excited to be running hypnobirthing sessions to offer parents a more comprehensive and postitive pregnancy and birth experience.
I am a mum of 3 young boys, an ex-city lawyer and a passionate advocate of hypnobirthing. I truly believe in the connection between the mind and the body - we all have the ability to prepare our minds to be positive and relaxed and when we do that we are also preparing our bodies to be the same. I think knowledge empowers and I want to dispel the myths and mysteries around birth so that every woman can enjoy the most amazing thing she will ever do - bring a little human being into the world.
Hypnobirthing mums all report the difference it can make to the mother's birth experience and the baby's wellbeing at birth. The positive effects of hypnobirthing and being born in a calm, alert and controlled way can have a positive impact throughout a baby's life. I am a qualified KG Hypnobirthing teacher and Hypnotherapist and a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society. I hold hypnobirthing courses and also work individually with many clients addressing many conditions releasing fear and anxiety. I am a practising Reiki Master with 20 years’ experience. My courses are held throughout Bedfordshire either within small groups or individual teaching. I facilitate meditation groups and hypnotherapy sessions which gives individuals the tools they need to release anxiety, fear, aid relaxation and promote well-being. I also work with with mothers who have post traumatic problems after the births of babies.
