Hypnobirthing Berkshire - Teachers' Directory
Hi my name is Abi.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and for taking the first step to looking into hypnobirthing and what's offered out there. I have two sons 12 and 6, it was their labours which ignited my passion to teach women about birth preparation and tool them with all the knowledge they need in order to achieve the birth that is right for both mother and child. I also feel very passionate about helping Dad/birth partner to feel as involved as they can and to tool them so that they don't feel like a spare part.
It doesn't matter whether this is your 1st pregnancy or your 5th - hypnobirthing is for everyone and each time that I run the course I learn something new. I have taught first time mums who haven't a clue what to expect, second and third time mums who want to have a birth that they feel in control of, mums who are in the medical profession and twin mums. I have had women who when they first came to me had been told how they would labour their babies but by the end were working with their care team to have the birth that was right for them and their babies. A lot of dads or birth partners don't want to initially attend but all who have attended the first session have fallen in love with the contents and have become so passionate about hypnobirthing that they can't help but tell anyone who will listen about what they are learning.
As a KGH teacher I will support you from the moment that you book onto my course until after baby is born. I also offer postnatal support.
Hello, my name is Grace Collins. I am a Doula UK birth and postnatal doula and a qualified KG Hypnobirthing instructor. I offer one to one and group antenatal and hypnobirthing workshops. Please visit www.essenceofbirth.co.uk or www.you-birth.com for more information on the free taster sessions and workshops I offer with my doula colleague Nuria Pozas.
I am a birth and postnatal doula and a mother of two. I trained to become a doula a year after my second was born, and back in early 2018, I qualified as a KG hypnobirthing instructor. I have extensive experience supporting mothers in a variety of birth settings and am committed to providing parents with the calm support and guidance they seek in order to make your birthing experience as positive as possible. My support is enhanced by my hypnobirthing tutoring and I have seen first hand how hypnobirthing contributes to better birth outcomes. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like a chat about hypnobirthing.
Congratulations on being pregnant mama! It’s such an exciting time.
My name is Rachel and I founded Hey Mama Hypnobirthing because I believe every woman should give birth feeling happy and proud of what her body and baby have achieved. My background in Psychology has given me an understanding of how the mind and body work together.
Why choose Hey Mama Hypnobirthing Co.?
I was sceptical that it could actually have a profound effect on my birth, but it did. My waters broke 2 days before he was due after listening to a relaxation MP3 and talking to him, convincing him that it was perfectly safe to come. After 6 hours and no contractions I put on the same MP3 and yup you guessed it my contractions started. Safe to say 12 hours later once he was born I was amazed and overwhelmed with positive feelings towards my body and my baby. It was a great start to mamahood!

You’ve got this mama!
Hello and congratulations on your pregnancy.
The experience coupled with the tools I learnt in hypnobirthing have quite literally changed my life -as cheesy as it sounds, both my husband and I live a much more stress free, fulfilled life and we are calm, confident parents.
On my work as a doula, having accompanied women and couples in very varied settings and reflecting back on some of these experiences, I learnt how hypnobirthing can make a difference and decided to train as a hypnobirthing teacher.
Currently I co-facilitate the Reading Positive Birth group as I am a firm believer on the importance of bringing positivity around childbirth.
Please get in touch if you are interested in hypnobirthing and antenatal preparation :)
I completed a BSc(Hons) in Applied Ecology and Conservation, followed by an MSc in Species Identification and Survey Skills. I worked as an Environmental Specialist for a few years, then I fell pregnant.
Constantly thinking what if something happens. Always reminded of the things that could go wrong, all aimed at preventing them from happening, but in my head I was thinking what if. Absolutely terrified of what could happen if I got anything wrong. If I wasn’t good enough.
Hypnobirthing gave me the strength I needed to get through my pregnancy and have a birth experience I am proud of. Because of that, I now teach Hypnobirthing to women who are experiencing the same thing 💖
I also get the absolute joy of being there for the birth of some of my clients as a Birth Doula. I am well and truly addicted to seeing mothers thrive 🥰
I am a very calm happy individual and feedback from my clients tell me I instil positivity and confidence in class. I have a wealth of birthing experience to draw on and am proud to say I’ve had the pleasure of assisting all my 7 grandchildren into the world in every which way: a caesarean section for breech followed by vaginal birth after caesarean with mum spending most of her labour in a birth pool; a homebirth with Buster (family dog) sitting quietly in the corner observing events only to move once baby was born; a waterbirth (on the Birth Centre where I was Matron) with dad supporting in the pool; and finally ‘Alicia’ who arrived unexpectedly and in a hurry in my living room, one sunny spring afternoon. This means I can never move from my house as it holds such special memories for me! I embrace normal birth in all its forms and take great satisfaction in helping women to achieve the birth they want.
I also believe it is every woman’s right to have a calm, gentle, satisfying birth for both herself and her baby no matter what type of birth is planned. Serenity-hypnobirthing welcomes what I call ‘Special Cases’ i.e. A Planned Vaginal Birth After Caesarean Section (VBAC), Twins, Elective Caesarean Section (El CS), Birth following a Traumatic Delivery, and women who are now pregnant after putting off having a baby because of their deep-seated fear of birth.
I’m Ruth Prowse a qualified hypnobirthing practitioner through KGHypnobirthing. I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2009 following a Psychology BSc at The University of the West of England.
I am also a hypnobirthing mum myself!
Hypnobirthing is an effective natural childbirthing method which brings a calmness to mother and baby through the use of hypnosis techniques for relaxation.
Each of our practitioners has been trained in one or more of the recognised hypnobirthing teaching methods and has then been through our assessment process to ensure they have the appropriate experience and skill we require. This ensures that the training they provide to expectant mothers is of a very high quality.
All of our hypnobirthing practitioners also subscribe to our code of ethics which includes delivering only good quality training and promoting good practice at all times. They are also firm advocates of natural birthing techniques, keen to see it taken up more widely as the delivery method of choice by mothers.
We have teachers covering the following areas including Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Reading, Slough, Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford, Calcot, Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, Eton, Wokingham, Woodley, Earlery, Winnersh and the surrounding areas.
