Running a busy home with two children, my partner and work as a Doula and Hypnobirthing Instructor, it can sometimes be tricky to balance life. I often find in these moments that I make myself take some “me time” and put to use the fantastic hypnobirthing techniques that I was taught by Katharine.
I very quickly remember how to slow everything down and gain perspective. Often I find my mind wandering to the women I am working with and I feel ….energised ….inspired ….in awe ….full of expectation ….and confident in our and their ability......then its game on!
Hi I'm Emily, a friendly local doula in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. I offer antenatal & KGHypnobirthing classes and birth & postnatal doula services. Check out my website emilythedoula.co.uk
I used KGHypnobirthing with my first baby, who I had at home. After experiencing the incredible power of our minds and bodies as birthing people, I trained so that I can help and guide others on their journey to parenthood.
Before becoming a doula, I was an artist making window displays for Anthropologie in London and before that I was teaching Art & Design to college students in Cornwall. I am creative and detail oriented and I thrive on helping others achieve their goals; be that through teaching, making shop windows look their best or just lending an ear to a friend to work through a problem together.
I would describe myself as a quiet extrovert, I gain energy from being with people but I don’t need or want to be the centre of attention. I have always been interested in other people and their stories. Once I am invested in people’s stories, I want to support till the end, so I offer continued support for parents who complete my course.
The values to which I hold myself are authenticity, patience, being positive or constructive, non-judgemental, considered, well informed, and open minded.

I am a birth and postnatal doula and a mother of two. I trained to become a doula a year after my second was born, and back in early 2018, I qualified as a KG hypnobirthing instructor. I have extensive experience supporting mothers in a variety of birth settings and am committed to providing parents with the calm support and guidance they seek in order to make your birthing experience as positive as possible. My support is enhanced by my hypnobirthing tutoring and I have seen first hand how hypnobirthing contributes to better birth outcomes. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like a chat about hypnobirthing.
Hi, Congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Julie, I am the founder of The Blossoming Birth Company, mum 2 two grown up girls and a Nanna to a wonderful little boy. I have been a midwife all of my life, being with women and their families is such a priveleged position, it is truly magical.
I know how important it is for women to feel informed, loved and supported during her pregnancy and then on into her labour and birth. Whether it be her first or tenth baby, whether her birth is a planned c-section or home-birth, the way she is supported and nurtured should not differ, that is, and always has been my approach to being alongside a woman during this miraculous time.
With my course I will ensure you have information, you laugh, you understand and you enjoy learning about what lie ahead. I and you will have the benefit of my midwifery experience, which is there to enhance the wonderful training I have experienced during my KGHypnobirthing course. My aim is simple..... you will leave my course feeling confident in your body, your mind and your ability to choose what feels right for you.
I cover Surrey, Berkshire, Middlesex.
I have been working in my own practice for many years as a Reflexologist specialising in all aspects of the fertility journey. I have close links with my Acupunturist husband and we have worked with many couples and individuals. I love hearing my clients tell me about their birthing experiences and I am so proud to be part of their moment. I have had four children and my births were the best experiences of my life, this is why I am a KGHypnobirthing teacher. My practice is based at home where clients can relax in a welcoming and calm enviroment. Do give me a ring to ask any further questions you might have.
My name is Charlotte and I am a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher and Doula based in West Berkshire. I am also Mum to 3 wonderful children, wife to 1 wonderful husband and a complete & utter birth nerd! When I had my first baby 13 years ago my passion for pregnancy and birth was born and I knew that somehow I had to do something to support & empower women to go on to have the positive births that they deserved.. just like I had. My second birth was equally as calm, relaxed and magical (she was born in her sac!) and I was even more determined to change the negative mindset that so many pregnant women find themselves in - that birth is a medical event & is going to hurt! I then trained to be a Doula in 2010 and was privileged to support many women through their pregnancies, births and early days of motherhood. Baby number 3 wasn't far behind and again my positive mindset, confidence, calm & relaxed attitude and understanding of the task ahead made for another quick, peaceful birth!! Being Mummy then took over my life and I had to put Doula duties on hold until my children became more independent... and then I discovered Hypnobirthing! I couldn't believe it, it was everything I had believed in and had practised with my own babies with scientific evidence to back it up and even better.. I could become a teacher! I didn't really have to consider it and soon trained to become a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher which is honestly the most wonderful "job" and I feel so lucky to be able to make a difference to pregnant women, their birth partners and their whole experience of pregnancy, birth and beyond.
My name is Joanna Williamson and I am a mother of three, midwife and KG Hypnobirthing teacher. I used KG Hypnobirthing for the birth of my son in 2018 and my incredible birth experience made me keener than ever to share with others what I learnt on the course. I love teaching and supporting women and their partners on their journey to parenthood or indeed to a growing family! I switched 18 months ago from working on labour and postnatal wards to in the community where I now provide antenatal and postnatal care and attend homebirths.

Your fears or concerns about birth.
Hi, my name is Claire and I have been involved in supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth for well over a decade. I am an experienced, fully qualified midwife with a passion for antenatal education and the empowerment of women through their pregnancy and birth experience. I currently work in a busy labour ward and so am up-to-date with evidence based practise - as every good midwife should be! I also am a mother, so I can speak from personal experience of pregnancy and childbirth. I would love to hear from you, even if it is just a phone call to ask some questions to work out if Hypnobirthing is something you would like to explore further.
Hi, my name is Amber McFarlane. Congratulations on your exciting news and the start of an amazing journey!
I am a qualified KG Hypnobirthing Practitioner, and I am currently working as a Maternity Health Care Assistant at Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Having seen hypnobirthing work for women within their labour and birth of their babies, amazed me and I found that I wanted to ensure as many women had a positive experience throughout their labour and birth even if their first experience wasn’t what they would of liked with their first or subsequent births. This has now become something that I encourage women to do when they are within the hospital or even at home.
I regularly attend courses in antenatal, intrapartum and post-natal care. From my job I am able to help you gain knowledge on what to expect from the start of your labour all the way to when your baby is born, and possibly after that too. We can also work through any fears that you may have and work through them to establish where they start and what we can do to make you feel as confident in yourself and your body. By doing this we will ensure that you and your partner are prepared for what may happen and that you are comfortable with what to expect and how to remain calm and relaxed throughout your experience, no matter how you chose to birth your baby.
Feel free to contact me for a consultation whether that is via email or by phone.
Hypnobirthing is an effective natural childbirthing method which brings a calmness to mother and baby through the use of hypnosis techniques for relaxation.
Each of our practitioners has been trained in one or more of the recognised hypnobirthing teaching methods and has then been through our assessment process to ensure they have the appropriate experience and skill we require. This ensures that the training they provide to expectant mothers is of a very high quality.
All of our hypnobirthing practitioners also subscribe to our code of ethics which includes delivering only good quality training and promoting good practice at all times. They are also firm advocates of natural birthing techniques, keen to see it taken up more widely as the delivery method of choice by mothers.
We have teachers covering the following areas including Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Reading, Slough, Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford, Calcot, Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, Eton, Wokingham, Woodley, Earlery, Winnersh and the surrounding areas.
