About Me
My name is Katie, I am the founder of Birthcare. I am a practising midwife, KG Hypnobirthing teacher, NCT antenatal practitioner, and a mother of my two daughters Holly and Chloe. I have been supporting parents-to-be since 2010, and have a passion for promoting positive birth experiences. As a midwife, I have supported women birthing at home, in birth centres and consultant led delivery suites, and most recently my career has led me to specialise in mental health where I now support a vast amount of women with anxiety or fear of birth, or those whose previous birth experience has left them feeling scared to do it again. Hypnobirthing is always my first recommendation as I know it works and have seen the incredible results it can achieve on the whole family’s experience.
Why KG Hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal programme designed to reduce the fear of birth and release tension, giving you the confidence to feel excited about the birth of your baby. Hypnobirthing will teach you about the process of labour and birth, and equip you with evidence based research to inform your decisions throughout pregnancy and birth. This course will give you the tools you need to approach your birth with a sense of confidence and calmness to promote a positive experience that you will remember forever.
At Birthcare, I use the Katharine Graves (KG) method of hypnobirthing. KG Hypnobirthing is the only teacher training course to be accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, and will provide you with an in-depth antenatal training programme that is logical and powerful yet simple, easy and enjoyable.
