Hypnobirthing Dorset - Teachers' Directory
My name is Tish, I'm a mummy of one and a student midwife based in Dorset. I absolutely love taking part in antenatal education and empowering women to have incredible birth experiences, no matter what form that may be in. My passion prompted me to attend the Royal College of Midwives accredited KGH hypnobirthing course to become a qualified hypnobirthing practitioner. This compliments my midwifery training beautifully and allows me to better support women on their journey into motherhood. It also provides me with a wonderful opportunity to help birth partners in their role and support you as a team. I will teach you the skills, and help equip you with the knowledge, to have the birth that is right for you.

My name is Emma. I am a KG hypnobirthing teacher, breastfeeding peer supporter and a pre & postnatal personal trainer. Living in the beautiful Tarrant Valley in Dorset I am raising my 2 lovely daughters.
I used hypnobirthing for both my births in two very contrasting scenarios. I had pre eclampsia with my first daughter so had a very medicalised induction. With my second I had a homebirth.
In both these situations hypnobirthing helped enormously. I remained calm, relaxed and in control. I found the sensations powerful but not painful. To me giving birth is the most empowering and wonderful experience I have ever had.
I decided to train as a KG Hypnobirthing teacher as I feel every mother deserves a positive birth experience whatever birth journey she is given.
KG is a fantastic course with just the right balance of science and hypnobirthing technique. You will come away feeling prepared, knowledgable and excited for your birth. With practice you and your partner can experience this life changing event with confidence and control.
I am also a trained breastfeeding supporter and hope that this will allow me to help new mums in those crucial early days.

A KGHypnobirthing teacher and Doula, I live on the stunning Dorset coast near Wareham. I am passionate about helping women achieve a calm and happy birth, no matter where and how it takes place. I particularly love surprising birth partners with hypnotherapy and teaching them how to be really useful in labour :-) I have been a teacher for 25 years and came to hypnobirthing when my daughter gave birth using it. It blew my mind and knew that this was what I wanted to do. My approach to teaching is enthusiastic, calm and kind - I think you will enjoy learning with me.
I am a qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor and can offer you a relaxing and safe space to learn in. I have two teenage children and love to work with others to help develop that fundamental relationship that you will have with your baby right from the word go
Hi , My name is Corinne, I'm a trained hypnotherapist specialised in hypnobirthing.
I discovered hypnobirthing 17 years ago when I was pregnant with my first daughter. My husband and I attended a week end course in London. When we left, all our fears about birth had been dispelled and we felt both confident, calm and empowere. I couldn't wait for my labour to start to put into practice all the tools that I had learnt.
My daughter was born 3 weeks later in two hours at our local birth centre, in a birthing pool. I felt no need of using any pain relief.
I went on to have 3 more children who were all born at home and for all of them I used hypnobirthing.
I'm passionate about teaching the KGH method. It will enable you to make informed choices when it come to the birth of your child.
KGH prepares you for all the scenarios of birth. Feeling calm, empowered, and in control, being able to make informed choices will makes all the difference in your experience of birth.
KGH is a complete antenatal education which will provide you with all the informations that you need about childbirth. I'll take on a journey during which you'll discover how the body is perfectly designed to give birth.
I'll give you some tools such as breathing exercises, relaxation and positive visualisations to prepare your body and your mind to give birth.
In 2007, I gave birth to my daughter using Hypnobirthing following my own course with the inspirational Katharine Graves herself. It was my own life-changing, positive birth experience then which led me to change career direction and bring the benenfits of Hypnobirthing to Bournemouth.
In 2010, as well as passing my hypnotherapy diploma with distinction, I qualified to teach Hypnobirthing. I haven't looked back since then and love helping expectant parents on their journey to calm labour and birth for themselves and their babies.
My name is Sophie Annett and I have been a practising massage and holistic therapist for 13 years. I trained to become a certified Infant Massage Instructor in 2013 giving me a chance to lead many courses in this wonderful, ancient process. After using KGHypnobirthing with the home-birth of my son, I became increasingly amazed and awe-inspired by its immense power and simplicity. I knew it was a tool that I wanted to share with as many expectant mothers and their partners as possible and feel incredibly privileged to now teach it. I am easily accessible, teaching both from my home in Lyme Regis or from your home and can travel between Dorchester and Exeter easily.

I have been trained to be a hypnobirthing teacher by Katharine Graves. I have home educated my son and now he is off on his adventures, I thought it was time for me to have mine! I have been involved with AIMS (Assoc. for the Improvement in Maternity Services) for many years on the committee and as Publications Secretary. I have a good knowledge of the issues surrounding birth and decided to teach hypnobirthing to get closer to the mums. I am continually amazed at the power of hypnobirthing and love passing on the techniques and message to couples.
