I'm really excited about meeting lots of new mums-to-be and helping you to feel excited about welcoming your baby into the world!

Are you hoping for a calm, comfortable and more enjoyable birth? Do you want to feel more in control of the birth of your baby?

Whatever kind of birth you’re planning – home birth, hospital, birthing centre – I can help.

I have a degree in English Literature and work as a publicist. I have over a decade’s worth of knowledge and experience in how words and language can be incredibly powerful tools in creating positive messages – a vital tool for hypnobirthing.

In 2016, while pregnant with my first child, I came across hypnobirthing. I was nervous about giving birth, having heard a lot of negative stories from relatives and friends, and was keen to try anything that might help. I loved hypnobirthing - it was incredibly relaxing, helped me to sleep well during the latter stages of pregnancy, and made me feel really excited about having my baby. Everything it taught made complete sense, and no part of it felt odd or strange. It also made a real difference for me on the day my daughter arrived.

I became a fully qualified hypnobirthing teacher in 2017, training with the Royal College of Midwives accredited KG Hypnobirthing  programme.  KG Hypnobirthing is the original UK Hypnobirthing course, which is designed especially for mothers in the UK.  The course is constantly evolving to keep up-to-date with the latest evidence and research.

Hello, I'm Michelle, a hypnobirthing practitioner and birth educator. I have a first class Batchelor of Science honours degree in Psychology, and have worked in education for over ten years. All of my courses are evidence-based and rooted in Science.

Birth is such a personal experience. My aim is for you to feel positive about your birth, no matter how or where you choose to have your baby. After completing one of my courses I would love for you to be excited about birth, but also feel calm enough to be able to trust yourself to 'go with the flow', whilst being equipped with the tools and birth education to be able to confidently navigate our maternity system and any decisions that you may be faced with. Two births could be identical on paper, but it is how you feel about your birth that really matters, that's what defines a positive birthing experience to me.

Hi, I’m Kirstie.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

As well as being a hypnobirthing teacher I am a birth and postnatal doula, pregnancy yoga teacher, antenatal teacher and I have lots of other roles working with pregnant people and new parents. I am also the Chair for the Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership across Mid & South Essex, working to improve maternity services and ensure your voices are heard.

I’m a mum, a step mum and I’m married to Steve. I still use the positive affirmations and relaxations that I learnt when I was pregnant in everyday life to calm and ground me on busy days, I can't wait to share some of these with you!

I’m truly honoured to have attended lots of births during my time as a doula. The births I’ve attended have varied greatly, from water births at home, to elective and emergency caesarean births. All births matter and I’ve seen hypnobirthing techniques used during all types.

I am passionate about all things related to pregnancy and birth, but particularly about people know their rights and choices, informed decision making is very important for yourself and your baby. I am also passionate about educating people about how their body and baby work together to make birth an empowering experience.

I love to learn, so if I'm not attending a birth, teaching a yoga class, Chairing a meeting about maternity or teaching antenatal sessions, you'll find me learning something new, often relating to the work I do and love.  There is a list of my qualifications over on my website www.breathebirthyoga.co.uk on the 'about Kirstie' page.

I'm a big fan of Instagram and other social media channels, so if you'd like to find out more about me please take a look

Being informed (intuitively or externally), having your decisions respected, knowing your options and understanding that the choice is always YOURS to make is key to having a positive birth experience.

I have experienced all types of births during my role as a Doula. I have witnessed and heard of wonderful birth experiences that have left the new parents elated, proud and empowered.

I have also heard of and encountered a few negative birth experiences, one of which was my own caesarean birth 25 years ago.

I want all families to feel that their birth was a positive one, whatever journey it took,  however it unfolded, and in whatever environment it happened.

I am a mum to two gorgeous girls, wife to my lovely husband and before training to become a hypnobirthing teacher I worked as a Marketing Manager. Hypnobirthing truly changed my life. I always imagined I'd be unable to cope when I was giving birth, that it would be a terrible, painful experience - this is what lead me to hypnobirthing. I wanted to take control of the only thing I could - my mind! Both of my labours were incredible, both were calm and relaxed and two of the best experiences of my life. Having these experiences made me want to help others achieve the same. It is so rewarding and enjoyable teaching my lovely couples and helping them on their journey to what is their ideal birth.

I am available to teach throughout Southend and Essex.

My name is Charlotte and I am a practicing midwife, KGH hypnobirthing teacher and a proud mum of one hypnobirthed baby. I have years of experience as a midwife and have had the pleasure to be at many different types of birth during my career so far. I have seen how hypnobirthing can help women feel prepared and in control during their pregnancy and go into their labour and birth with a positive mind set. I am passionate about pregnancy, birth and parenthood and believe that antenatal preparation is vitally important. I feel privileged to be able to teach women and their birth partner the techniques of KGH hypnobirthing to enable them to have the birth they want. I experienced personally how powerful hypnobirthing can be when I gave birth to my own baby and I want you to feel the same!

I'm Verity, a KGHypnobirthing teacher, Birth & Postnatal Doula working in Essex, Herts and North London. I am also a proud mum of one.

Hypnobirthing allowed me to have a calm, confident and empowered birth through mindfulness and relaxation. Like many newly pregnant women I was fearful of birth and was very anxious through the first half of my pregnancy. After practising Hypnobirthing I was surprised to find that as my due date approached I was completely relaxed and calmly excited at the thought of giving birth.

Giving birth was the most empowering experience of my life. I was left in awe of the process of birth and what our bodies can achieve. When I started to meet other new parents I slowly discovered how important our birthing experiences are to us. I heard many mothers describe the impact their negative experiences had on them and their partners and how this had affected the first precious days, weeks and even months with their baby.

I had taken my positive experience for granted as I realised that my birth wasn’t just one amazing day to look back on with fond memories, it moulded me as a mother.

I decided to become a Hypnobirthing teacher and Doula because I am passionate about helping parents to feel in control of the birth of their baby no matter what direction it may take, to guide them in making informed decisions about their birth preferences, and ultimately give them the best possible start to life with their new baby.

I provide group and 1-2-1 KGHynobirthing classes in Harlow, Sawbridgeworth and surrounding areas. I also offer a Birth Doula with KGHypnobirthing package.

My name is Jules and I have been a hypnobirthing Practioner for the past 9 years now.

It was the birth of my second child which elated me so much that not only would I rather give birth like that everyday than have my bikini line waxed but which made me train as a Hypnobirthing Practioner in order to give back the enormous gift I had been given; informed learning.

Hypnobirthing gave me confidence I had not felt before as a birthing person. It encouraged relaxation along with active labour and educated me of much freer ways to birth. It also taught me the fundamental roles of all my care providers within the medical system but most importantly I was taught how to ask the right questions in the correct way resulting in me being more informed to make the right choices for myself. Without this knowledge I would not have been able to control my birth the way I had.

I am a true advocate of informed choices leading to empowered situations especially within birth and around birthing matters. Knowing your birthing rights is fundamental in todays society yet they are rarely spoken about within mainstream care. I strive to provide all the current information that birthing mothers and birthing people need as well as informing of the amazing biological and scientific reasons of why our bodies do what they do during birth.

When I am not geeking out over birth and hypnobirthing I am being Mum to Evie and Connor, taking long walks, planning our next holiday to Cornwall and researching the next best way of how to present this endless and fascinating programme to you amazing people.

Hi. I'm Verity, a lawyer, birth aficionado and mum of two boys (and therefore proud owner of a terrifying number of toy cars, trains, tractors and diggers...)

After a difficult birth with my first baby, I did a hypnobirthing course and had an absolutely magical homebirth with baby number two with no pain relief apart from a birthing pool and a bit of swearing at my husband. And all this was despite being an absolute cynic and having a hefty 9lb 1 baby.

Before having children my take on giving birth was pretty accurately summed up by Miranda from Sex and the City: "When this gets going, don't let anyone get all cheerleadery on me. I don't want any of that, you can do it, push push" And actually I still have that view as with hypnobirthing YOU are your own cheerleader and doing a hypnobirthing course will equip you with all the tools you need to know that you CAN do it (without any overzealous support from the sidelines).

I consider it an immense privilege to empower women to have the best birth possible for them.

So if you want a no-nonsense course which gives you and your birth partner the facts about birth and the options open to you and think that I would be a good fit for you then get in touch. (And if your birth partner needs any encouragement then the good news is that the course I run from my home is only 150 yards from a pub...)

I cover the North Essex/Suffolk region including:

  • Sudbury
  • Halstead
  • Braintree
  • Haverhill
  • Witham
  • Bury St Edmunds

For over 24 years I have had the privilege of working with many women, supporting them through conception, pregnancy and in a post-natal capacity.  I have also worked with new mothers and their babies immediately after their births. I am so excited to now be able to teach KGHypnobirthing, I know that the knowledge and information that unfolds during the course will be invaluable to the parents and to the baby. The skills they learn will enable them to have the most empowering birth and the effects of the course will continue to blossom through their relationship and the rest of their lives. I am a fully qualified Cranio Sacral Therapist, Reflexologist, Aromatherapist, Shiatsu Practitioner and KGHypnobirthing Teacher.  I have three grown up children.  I am empathetic have a great sense of humour and am a home maker too.

Through my own birth experiences (an emergency caesarean, a planned caesarean, and a home water birth) and the births I have attended as a doula, I am constantly amazed by the intricacy of the human body, and how well and how delicately nature contrives what’s best for us and our babies, when we give it a chance. My goal is to ensure this perfect choreography, this dance of the hormones, which enables birth to proceed optimally, is protected and preserved. Hypnobirthing is a great tool to achieve this.
