I am a registered midwife and KGHypnobirthing teacher. I have gained a lot of experience of the past 5 years and I am incredibly passionate about reducing intervention, providing informed choice and supporting families to feel comfortable, safe and relaxed throughout their pregnancy and birth.
Besides my professional qualifications, I am a wife, an aunty and a mummy to a beautiful golden cocker spaniel. When I am not spending time with my precious family or working, I play netball, drink more coffee then I probably should and I enjoy relaxing with some meditation.
I am very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable and I can't wait to embark on this journey with you.
I'm Verity, a KGHypnobirthing teacher, Birth & Postnatal Doula working in Essex, Herts and North London. I am also a proud mum of one.
Hypnobirthing allowed me to have a calm, confident and empowered birth through mindfulness and relaxation. Like many newly pregnant women I was fearful of birth and was very anxious through the first half of my pregnancy. After practising Hypnobirthing I was surprised to find that as my due date approached I was completely relaxed and calmly excited at the thought of giving birth.
Giving birth was the most empowering experience of my life. I was left in awe of the process of birth and what our bodies can achieve. When I started to meet other new parents I slowly discovered how important our birthing experiences are to us. I heard many mothers describe the impact their negative experiences had on them and their partners and how this had affected the first precious days, weeks and even months with their baby.
I had taken my positive experience for granted as I realised that my birth wasn’t just one amazing day to look back on with fond memories, it moulded me as a mother.
I decided to become a Hypnobirthing teacher and Doula because I am passionate about helping parents to feel in control of the birth of their baby no matter what direction it may take, to guide them in making informed decisions about their birth preferences, and ultimately give them the best possible start to life with their new baby.
I provide group and 1-2-1 KGHynobirthing classes in Harlow, Sawbridgeworth and surrounding areas. I also offer a Birth Doula with KGHypnobirthing package.
I am an accredited hypnobirthing teacher. I entered the world of hypnobirthing 6 years ago and have since given birth to my 3 children using hypnobirthing – 3 very different births but equally positive and empowering.
It breaks my heart every time I hear a woman mention that she had a difficult birth experience. Which is why I decided to use my skills and experience to get involved in making a difference to women who might be feeling as little (or very) overwhelmed by the prospects of giving birth to her baby.
With my background in coaching and leading group training, I am able to create an environment where people feel comfortable opening up. My facilitation skills are professional yet friendly, personable and approachable. I have deep knowledge and experience of hypnobirthing, so whether this is your first baby or you are already a parent, know that you are in good hands.
I'm Meghan Roe, a midwife, KG Hypnobirthing teacher and mum from Hertford, Hertfordshire. I have over 10 years of experience as a practising midwife in a busy London hospital. I love my job and am passionate and fascinated by birth. I trained as a hypnobirthing teacher as I was so impressed with the knowledge and calm of hypnobirthing parents. I also used hypnobirthing with my own birth, which was so beneficial and I had a very positive birthing experience.
My name's Louise, I live in Weston in Hertfordshire, I'm the proud mummy to my little girl Arya and I'm the founder of Powerfully Birthing.
I set up Powerfully Birthing to help women like me achieve the best possible birth for them. I was petrified of giving birth and when my urge to be a mummy became so strong, I knew I had to combat my own fear.
As a born cynic, I was very sceptical that hypnobirthing could work for me, but after completing my course I was hooked. I had a beautiful birth in the water with my little girl and I felt incredible. From then on, I knew I simply had to help other women achieve positive and powerful birth experiences.
I have a background in marketing for big brands and I have always loved building relationships and people management. There's nothing I love more than helping other's achieve their goals and gain positive experiences out of life.
I am a qualified teacher with over fifteen years’ experience across the 3-18 age range. This has been in mainstream schools and as a Social and Emotional Development therapist for students with special educational needs. I have a bachelor’s degree in Education (BEd Hons) from the University of Cambridge.
Additionally, my training in therapy has enabled me to work within a range of healthcare settings, including a hospice, a BUPA care home for the elderly and MIND, the mental health charity. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling Studies.
I have travelled extensively with my husband and two teenage daughters, and lived and worked abroad, including for a counselling charity involved with supporting expatriates. Before embarking on a career in teaching, I worked as a private Nanny.
I enjoy meeting new clients, either at my Berkhamsted practice, online or in their own homes. I am calm, empathic and passionate about helping others’ find balance. To facilitate this, I am resourced by a varied career profile, containing a range of complementary and holistic therapy training and experience.
I am proud to be a registered KG Hypnobirthing practitioner (DipHB KGH), a premier training course accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.
I graduated with Distinction from the British School of Meditation (BSoM) where I am an accredited teacher. Additionally, I am trained as a Neuro-Linguistic Programme practitioner (NLP Prac).
To continue evolving my professional development and in order to support my personal wellbeing, I have also studied Reiki (to Practitioner Level 2) and Quantum Touch.
I hold an enhanced certificate with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Hello, thanks for stopping by to find out more. I'm Emma Anderson-Brown, a Hitchin based mum of one. I founded Fuel for Mama following my own positive birth experience using hypnobirthing.
I was petrified of childbirth until I tried hypnobirthing. I was surprised when it made me excited to give birth. Futhermore, I had smooth natural birth as I allowed my body to do it's thing.
I was so astonished at how I took it in my stride, I wanted to share this with others. As a result, I trained in Hypnobirthing under Katherine Graves, author of the Hypnobirthing book. My training is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and as a result, I have a diploma in hypnobirthng. Katherine is largely credited with being responsbile for bringing hypnobirthing to the UK.
All people want to do is tell pregnant women horror stories. My mission is to reach pregnant women, and let them know great birth experiences exist. Because of this I champion positive births and want to make this mindset approachable for everyone. Consequently, my Hitchin hypnobirthing classes empower women to have better birth experiences.
I also run a popular baby & toddler group in Hitchin. I meet so many new mums and hear many varied birth experiences. Many mums or mums to be are dubious about hypnobirthing, considering it to be ‘new age’ and ‘a bit hippyish’. Therefore, when I created Fuel for Mama, I wanted to offer a dynamic approach to hypnobirthing and birth preparation. I aim to appeal to even the most pragmatic and skeptical. Most importantly my ethos is to be accessible, supportive but also have some fun.
I also love bringing people together. What I dislike is when it feels patronising or forced. Parents need support. Creating a local network of friends is a great way to get this. Just having a few other local mamas who you can chat to, can have a huge impact on wellbeing. Knowing someone else understands what you're going through can fuel you. The Fuel for Mama course connects like-minded people with shared interests. It facilitates conversation and getting to know each other in a natural way.
While my courses are based in Hitchin, I am happy to travel to you and cover Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Buckinghamshire and London
Birth has a profound and lasting effect on the birthing person's life, their babies life and their partners life. That is why it is something that needs to be carefully considered and prepared for. I believe that meaningful guidance supported with the antenatal knowledge, that a KG Hypnobithing course provides, is paramount to the mental and physical health of families. This is something I believe every birthing person should experience.
Speaking from a personal perspective, I was terrified of birth; often I would have panic attacks about the thought of it. KG Hynobirthing gave my partner and I the tools to work with my body, navigate the NHS and the ability to make informed decisions around our care. I went on to have a calm and gentle birth with our son in 3 hours. I want to share this knowledge with other parents to enrich their experience of this precious time. We live in a culture that often over medicalises birth and one that undermines the natural process of labour. I work with parents to help them build trust in their body and their babies ability to birth, and provide them with the information to be in control of their journey.
I believe when parents feel empowered by their birth experience and are not recovering from physical or emotional trauma, they go on to feel confident in their abilities to parent and bond with their baby.
KG Hypnobirthing teachers are trained and assessed to provide you with the best Hypnobirthing teacher you could find. This ensures that they are all trusted to deliver to a very high standard when working with expectant mothers, training them in hypnobirthing methods.
Our teachers have all signed up to our ethical code to embrace best practice when teaching natural childbirth techniques, with the aim of enhancing the childbirth for mothers. They are also strong advocates of promoting hypnobirthing and natural childbirth to bring it to a wider audience and make it a more widespread choice for a mother.
Hypnobirthing is recognised for bringing an effective and more relaxed childbirth to both mother and baby through the adoption of hypnosis methods.
