Hypnobirthing Kent - Teachers' Directory
Hi, I'm Sarah and a-side from co-creating my two little humans, Hypnobirthing has been the most amazing thing I have ever experienced, It really has been the best gift I have ever given myself. Who knew you could breath a baby out? (A lot of clued up super mama's that's who).
When I'm not in the From Mum To Another's Office (any coffee shop in Sevenoaks) I fill my days by ferrying the wildlings around and taking in my beautiful surroundings with the pooch.
So come along to one of my classes, bring the bump and I'll bring the biscuits xx
A sunny warm welcome to you and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Elizabeth and it fills me with pride and pleasure to be able to teach expectant mothers the art of hypnobirthing. But first of all let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and i have a practice in Canterbury. I am completely dedicated to helping people overcome a vast range of problematic areas in their lives such as stress, anxiety and habits. I also teach hypnobirthing to expectant mums and their partners.
I am a happy mum of three and a self confessed pregnancy and labour O'Holic. My passion for antenatal care has been paramount in creating Bloom Hypnobirthing, something that I pride myself and the business on.
Outside of Bloom I love to learn - I'm always reading!! I also am a huge CrossFit fan and when I'm not teaching courses, playing mum or maid I'm at the gym.
Nutrition also plays a huge part in my role as a practioner and am a qualified Nutritional Therapist - you can be sure to have some tasty treats to try at one of my classes.
Overall I'd say my mission is to empower women (and men) to feel confident, happy and full of self worth when it comes to making the right decisions for themselves and their babies - whether that be what food they are eating, or creating a positive birth experience.
I am a qualified practicing midwife and a mother of 2. I live in beautiful Kent and strive to enjoy the wonderul countryside surrounding me.
I first came to hypnobirthing during my second pregnancy after experiencing a birth that left me feeling tired and questioning my capabilities as a birthing mother. I sought an answer and methods of giving birth that would offer me more control over my circumstances, knowledge and help me to feel more empowered. Hypnobirthing seemed to offer me all of these tools and more.
After much reading and research I decided the best way for me to fully utilise hypnobirthing was to book myself onto a course. To say it changed my outlook on pregnancy and birth is an understatement; my whole birth plan changed. I gave birth at home in a birthing pool in the middle of the day using essential oils, touch and the support of my amazing partner and two NHS midwives. As I sat nuzzling my newborn, I fondly remember my midwife saying my birth was “the most relaxed” she ever experienced. It was truly life changing. You can read my full birth story here.
My birth left me awed and empowered at the capabilities of women and how truly amazing our minds and bodies are. I wholly believe that hypnobirthing offers women a way to take control of their pregnancy and labour and offers them the opportunity to look back and feel positive about their birthing experience.
Having previously worked in education and child development, I see hypnobirthing as a natural extension of my path from pregnancy to birth and beyond. I have supported women postnatally through breastfeeding counselling and as a babywearing peer supporter for the local Sling Library, as well as supporting new mums after they have given birth in understanding what babies need, why and how to feel confident in your abilities as new parents. My other interests include practicing yoga, reading, upcycling furniture and taking my lovely mini schnauzer Morris for walks.
I look forward to meeting you on the course!
I am a hypnobirthing mother of a beautiful little girl, and since having her have realised how passionate I am about helping other women have a positive birth experience.

I am a nurse and midwife with over 7years experience, so I have experienced first-hand the amazing benefits of hypnobirthing. My active registration can be confirmed on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
I also have two children of my own, and often wish I had discovered hypnobirthing earlier so I could have tried it myself.
Having worked in a busy London hospital for several years, and then a busy local hospital, I decided to have a change of pace and pursue a great passion of mine, antenatal education.
When I heard about the KG Hypnobirthing teacher training course, I felt it was a brilliant way to combine antenatal education with hypnobirthing, something I’d always be fascinated by. Through completing this Royal College of Midwives accredited course, I now hold a Diploma in Hypnobirthing and I am a member of the Association of Hypnobirthing. The KG course exceeded my expectations and I am very excited to share this knowledge and help to empower you in your pregnancy and birth.
I bring a unique set of skills to being a hypnobirthing teacher. I have been a Psychology teacher for 14 years. I am used to explaining complex information in a way that makes it clear and easy to understand, whether we are working individually or in groups. Many people have not been in a ‘classroom’ for many years and you may have apprehension about this which can get in the way of your learning. I am highly skilled at making you feel comfortable in learning situations, so that quickly you are able to take on board the information and skills you are looking for.
Added to this I am a qualified Hypnotherapist. I have a good appreciation and understanding of the relationship between the mind and body. I use a wide range of therapeutic skills including the power of language to help you bring about the change you are looking for. As a hypnobirthing teacher I can also help you overcome related fears and worries that may arise when we start talking about giving birth.
My name is Kelly and I offer KGH birth preparation classes in Folkestone and the surrounding areas. Having experienced two hypnobirths myself, I am truely passionate about hypnobirthing and the positive impact it has on the mother, birth partner and baby.

I live in Folkestone with my huband and two daughters.

Why Choose a Hypnobirth?
Hypnobirthing and the use of hypnosis is becoming increasingly recognised as an effective method for giving birth as it helps the mother have a far more rewarding, relaxed and natural birthing experience than she may ever have thought possible. Not only that, but the baby is far more relaxed too as she has not felt any of her mother's stress or anxiety through the birthing.
We have members across the United Kingdom and beyond, with a number based throughout Kent, including practitioners in Ashford, Canterbury, Chatham, Cranbrook, Herne bay, Kings Hill, Medway, Maidstone, Rochester, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne, Tenterden and Tunbridge Wells. So we hope you will be to find a course reasonably local to where you live. Alternatively, many members can also provide individual classes, if that is your preference.
Our teachers are trained in KG Hypnobirthing and are experienced in teaching expectant mothers how to use these methods as they progress through childbirth. Each has been individually assessed to ensure they meet our high standards of practice, before they receive their accreditation from us.
