I'm based in the gorgeous northern town of Ramsbottom, I'm a Doula UK Recognised Birth Doula and the Northern Teacher Trainer for KG Hypnobirthing. My clients live throughout Manchester, parts of Lancashire and Cheshire and further afield via skype or zoom.
Meeting your baby for the very first time has the power to be one of the most magical and transformative events in your life. Setting up your birth so that you feel love and calmness helps the birth hormones flow effectively. Your body takes over and you can tap into your instincts that know how to birth a baby. That is what I can help you with.
In general, people know so little about birth and I am on a mission to change that!
I leave no stone unturned so you'll know everything you need to know to have the best experience possible. If you have a birth partner (which, these days, is usually but not always dad), I have a strong emphasis on teaching them what to do so they are not just a spare part. They will know what best to do to help you faciliate your baby's birth in the best way.
This helps you all bond together and start parenthood feeling strong.
Please get in touch. In the first instance, we can chat to see what it is you are looking for and what I can do to help you achieve that and we go from there.
Sending you Love,
Kati x
I am a qualified midwife with over 13 years experience working in the NHS. My current role is as a Practice Based Educator for Maternity.
I live in the Stockport area and I am a wife to Paul and mummy to William and Poppy.
After 37 years as a practising midwife, I remain as passionate as ever about promoting birth as a natural and very special event. I have recently retired so have been able to channel my skills and experience in helping ‘soon to be mothers’ like you best prepare for birth. Experience has taught me a mother’s body is perfectly designed for birth, yet mothers have a tendency to work against it. I believe KGHypnobirthing is the perfect way for me to empower you with knowledge and skills to help you achieve the best birth for you.
I am professional in my approach, trustworthy, warm and friendly (so I’m told!). I will support you from first contact on enquiry, throughout pregnancy and for the first month after birth. I will provide you with a chance for birth reflection within my support period, both as a positive means of birth recovery and as a celebration. We will also have fun along the way
I hold both a teaching and counselling qualification and have extensive experience in teaching Antenatal Education, Active Birth and Relaxation, along with providing De-brief, Birth Reflection and Breastfeeding Support.
Please don't hesitate to ring me should you have any questions at all, or wish to discuss a tailor made session.
Hi, I’m Becky!
I have been working with parents, babies and families for over 10 years and I love what I do.
My background is in swimming and I am the owner of Dolphin Academy Swimming School where I teach several Baby swimming classes alongside special Aqua Natal Yoga for mummies-to-be.
I also teach Pregnancy yoga classes, and hope to give expectant parents the most out of their special journey! I don’t want this journey to end once baby is here, and with my baby massage, baby swimming and mummy yoga classes I hope to stay with you throughout this amazing time!
Pregnancy and birth should be such a magical time, but often from a past experience or stories told from friends/family, this can be filled with anxiety. This is not the way nature intended, and I want to help women to embrace this wonderful time of their life!
My name is Laura and I'm a mum to a very energetic little boy. Originally from Glasgow, I now live in Cuddington with my husband and son.
After my own birth I decided I wanted to become a birth worker to advocate for mothers and help them to have the best birth experience possible.
Unfortunately I didn't know much about hypnobirthing until after my own birth experience. I fully believe my son's birth would have been a positive and happy experience if I had been a hypnobirthing mum rather than a traumatic one.
Now I am extremely happy and proud to call this my job and I can't wait to support lots of future mums in having a calm, positive and happy birth.
I am an adult nurse and midwife with 16 years experience of working in the NHS. Having observed Hypnobirthing women labour and birth their babies so efficiently and beautifully, I felt it imperative that I train and offer this service to the women in my care. I now offer Hypnobirthing courses for parents to be.
Please see my website for more details about my courses and feel free to contact me if you have any queries.
I am hugely passionate about spreading the word about hypnobirthing, it quite literally changed my life.. My husband and I were over the moon to find that we were pregnant, however, this was overshadowed somewhat by my fear of giving birth and my apprehension around hospitals, needles and anything medical! In the past I have fainted from just visiting people in hospital. So my first thought was that I would look into having an elective C-Section, thinking that I could just get knocked out and wake up once it was all over. (How naive and uneducated I was!) However, then I heard about hypnobirthing and set about reading and researching everything I could. Being a control-freak, hypnobirthing seemed like the perfect solution for me as it enabled me to prepare for birth, and take back some control of my pregnancy, my body and my birth. Instead of being scared of the unknown I was able to learn about the process and fully prepare my mind and body for birth.
My husband and I did a four week face to face course which completely altered my outlook and preconceptions about birth. So instead of feeling nervous and worried, I was actually looking forward to my birth! I think the term ‘hypnobirthing’ puts a lot of people off, it carries with it connotations of stage hypnosis involving putting people under a trance or being made to cluck like a chicken! However, the course was logical, practical and completely on our wave-length. In other words you don’t have to be a hippy for it to resonate and work for you, much to the delight of my initially sceptical husband. So we attended the sessions, did our homework, practised the breathing techniques and the scripts and listened to the audios. We were prepped and ready to go.
After much discussion and thought, we decided that we would like to aim to have a homebirth. Being a first time mum, and homebirths not being ‘the norm’, this was met with concern and negativity from some, however the hypnobirthing course equipped us with the knowledge and confidence to know that we had made the right decision for us and so we went on to have our baby at home in January 2019. It was an amazing experience, which I couldn’t have done without preparing my mind and body using the tools and techniques that we learned from hypnobirthing.
I felt like a superwoman, it was by far the proudest moment of my life. I felt very strongly that I wanted to pass this knowledge on to other pregnant women.
Hi, I'm Cherona. As well as being a mummy myself, I am a trained yoga teacher and have specialised over the years in both Pre & Postnatal (mum & baby) yoga. I'm incredibly passionate about supporting you through your pregnancy to find comfort, joy & a sense of calm during this huge change in your life. I strongly believe that each person deserves nothing but the best care for themselves and their baby & I'm honoured to be part of that. My focus is to empower expectant parents and help guide them towards a positive birthing experience. I look forward to hearing from you.
I’m Katie and I trained with KG Hypnobirthing in 2020. I am a trained and qualified baby massage and baby yoga instructor and first aid trainer. I am based in Bury, where I also run baby massage and yoga classes and first aid sessions for parents at local venues through my business Blissful Babies.
Having come across lots of mums that didn’t have positive birth experiences, it made me want to do something to help and to get the message of hypnobirthing out to my local community. As a mental health practitioner, wellbeing is really important to me and I want to help parents prepare for the birth of their baby in the most positive and supportive way.
I have worked with children and families for over 15 years and I continue to work in a senior management position within a large primary school.
I am passionate about supporting parents and love the work I do.
